Neely is amazing. This location at Judson has a fun, artistic vibe. Cartoons on the ceiling for when lying down, paintings. I appreciate that all of my pubic hair was removed. So many great things about The Wax Bar! I see Lorie and she is great. She actually talks to you so there is no awkward, uncomfortable silence. She takes her time and makes sure that you are happy with the results. I love the wax that they use. I have very fair skin and most waxes irritate and I leave crying and with extreme redness, but not at The Wax Bar. You can really tell/see a difference with their wax. Another major plus is that they are not overly expensive and if you have a military ID, they will give you a discount each time that you go. Wax Bar off of Lockhill Selma is a gem I did not know about. It was quick and they didn't nickel and dime me on my bikini wax, any hair by your lower abdominal area is normally another way to charge a client. However, I was so glad when Davalyn was like that is nothing don't worry about that I will not be petty about ten hairs. The ladies that work here are outstanding! I personally love Lorraine. She is really easy to talk to and has no qualms about really making sure all of those unwanted hairs are gone. There are great little pictures on the ceiling for you to look at while getting hair ripped out of your unmentionables and all of the "wax slingers" are great at keeping up conversation to keep your mind anywhere but on what they're doing. They have a ton of cute cocktail inspired hairstyles or designs that you can opt for if you don't like the hairless look. And speaking of cocktails, you can even have a shot in the waiting area if you need a little liquid encouragement. They have started using a new wax that is white that they can use as either a hard or a soft wax depending on if they mix it and it does a great job at getting all of those tougher hairs while not completely wrecking your skin. This is great for me because my skin is super sensitive and having to repeatedly go over the same spot with regular hard wax is always a painful experience. Regardless of your slinger or what kind of wax they use, these gals really know their stuff! Oh, and they have a frequent waxer card and after so many you get one 1/2 off which is great because at $55 a pop getting a Brazilian can break some people's bank (but it's sooo worth it). read more

This place is AH-MAZING. I am so glad that I found it. Lorraine is super friendly and talkative- which definitely makes it more relaxing. She did a great job on my eyebrows and upper lip. She used gloves; which impressed me. The cleanliness is what I was also looking for. (We all have gone to the questionable nail salons with the old wax; wondering, "How many double dips has this had and what's swimming around in it??") I definitely plan on coming back for the Lady Bits. She did confirm they definitely do not double dip and use new sticks each time. Bravo to that. The last place I went to definitely did not do that and it was disgusting. One of my favorite moments was the silly, fun stuff on the ceiling when you lay down. I'm a huge Betty White fan; so to see her up there discussing lady parts made the entire experience worth it. Tee hee. Just got my brows done by Lorie. I've never had such a painless brow wax. No redness or noticeable irritation at all. Lorie was nice and personable, was a pleasure to meet her and have her work on me. The salon lobby was clean, and I loved the funny signs (one was a picture of a beaver and said "clean beavers get more wood" LOL). The liquid courage in one corner of the lobby was awesome..nice assortment of liquor. Military service members and spouses: the Wax Bar gives us a discount! Overall a great first impression.
