They set up the decorations and hosted a special dinner for her with several lady friends that live there. They even made margaritas for the group. And luckily she chose Heritage Pointe. What a great place! The caregivers are so kind and knowledgeable and hard working. The management is committed to exceptional care. On move in, the staff arranged and rearranged, hung, moved, catered. They painted the apartment to the color of her choice. There is weekly sparkling housekeeping and one day laundry service. There are all levels of care from independent living to memory care. She needed help with showering and dressing. But in addition, someone would always pop by to check on her in the morning, make up her bed and set a small breakfast. And they checked on her all day. Always going the extra. There is plenty to do. There is a pool, a movie theatre, a workout room with personal trainers , an on-site physical therapist, a library, classes, lectures, guest speakers and performers, happy hour, a piano lounge, a hair salon, transportation to all of the local shops and conveniences and a coordinator to arrange a driver for doctor appointments. There are three meals in a lovely dining room. The staff and the residents are very friendly and make sure that a new arrival is introduced to and assimilated into the community and she made what became close friends In a medical emergency, Provident Mission Hospital which is a Level2 trauma center is only one mile away. In addition, Heritage Pointe offers accelerated care in their Sage Unit. We, her family, are so grateful for the loving, expert care she received in their beautiful surroundings

The Royal Inns managed by Al and his family made this transition a comfortable and wise decision. The on-site staff is beyond "staff" and actually becomes "the extended family". Not once did my Mother and her family feel we made a wrong decision. Better yet, my Dad loved the place and thanked me every visit for finding this home. This limited bed (6 beds I believe) facility allowed excellent care for my Dad. The tasty daily meals, the day-to-day care, the cleanliness and extended warmth to all that enter is hard to be beat (really can't be beat). They arrange for onsite visits for doctors and personal care beyond the staff's abilities. As my Dad slowly lost his abilities of movement and hearing, the staff kept us abreast of all acitivity and his needs. The facility is consistently updated. I thank Al and his family and staff for making my Dad feel as home as possible. If (okay when) my day comes, I will be more than happy to become a resident. They have six homes in a…read morenice neighborhood in Mission Viejo that are beautifully redone and well run by these two partners. Ryan and Scott are friendly, helpful and are good listeners. If there is an issue, they work on resolving it quickly. It is easy to get in touch with them by text or phone. I really appreciate that they work hard to keep each home running smoothly. Their website gives great descriptions of what their philosophy is and what these homes offer for seniors in need of a pleasant home environment.

With several falls, injuries and a hospitalization, in addition to refusing to call 911, we immediately moved to a more supportive and caring home. Harbor uses word manipulation in their advertising to attract business, however do not offer what they state. It just did not feel like a "care" home. Unfortunately I would not recommend this facility for your loved ones needing sincere care and support. Thank you for the response. The fact that you used the verbiage "constant", in your reply, describes exactly the sentiment of Harbor, that we/she was a bother. It was never about the money, as we offered to pay more for better care and it was declined. All we wanted was a safe and caring place for my Mom and unfortunately the standard at Harbor was not that. The pictures I posted tell only 60% of what she endured, and "context " enough to express our experience; not to mention twice her laying on the floor for hours because staff was not able to lift her (or call for help) until my brother or I arrived. This is not personal, I understand you have a business to run, however the care level at Harbor left us with a lot to be desired. As a loving family would do, they were devoted to our mother, accompanied us to medical appointments, came to know Mom's wants and needs, made her laugh and gave her comfort. Josh suggested hospice care (Sea Crest Hospice Services - they were wonderful) at just the right time, and Chapters worked with hospice to fill the last months of our mother's life with dignity, affection and joy.

I is is critical to research a care home and visit it multiple times to truly see how they operate. A residential care home is only as good as the owners and I can confidently say that Renee and Josh are first class! Both owners are highly involved in all aspects of their home. I saw the owner Josh assisting with one of his residents care. I never see owners that involved with the residents. That speaks volumes to their level of involvement! Renee has many years of experience and is a second generation owner of a board and care. She is also an active volunteer with Alzheimer's OC and facilitates their support groups. She knows her stuff! The home is clean, beautiful decorated and 100% in compliance with State regulations. The backyard is large and relaxing. It is not common to see a home with that large and purposefully landscaped backyard. The three times I visited I observed their residents enjoying lunch, exercise, or activities in the relaxing backyard. I appreciate how well the residents were groomed and dressed. It is obvious that Chapters RCFE preserves the dignity of their residents. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND CHAPTERS RCFE! After visiting you will know what I am talking about.
