I am a personal trainer who comes to train residents of the Wayward in the gym--a luxury amenity that my clients found appealing when they first moved in. At each of our last two sessions, the metropolis guest lot has not been working, resulting in me getting a ticket. The first time this happened, the staff next door at the Oxbow said that I should just allow myself to be ticketed, and that they would mail in my ticket to be validated. Not a great solution, but I was short on time and needed to get to my clients, the residents.
When I came back the following week (this week), I asked my clients to speak with their leasing office at Wayward to see what kind of temporary solution could be done. Perhaps I could be allowed to park in the resident lot, just for the duration of our session? I don't think it is acceptable to come and get a parking ticket every single week. We all know that they don't control metropolis, but surely a "luxury" building could find some parking solution for me as I service their residents.
My clients were dismissed by the desk staff, saying that "we're not affiliated with them [metropolis], take it up with them." This is abhorrent customer service, I cannot believe they are not finding a suitable, temporary solution for any guests visiting residents. There is NO WHERE else to park, other than the metropolis lot. This will effect any visitors coming to either building, and anyone looking to use any of the businesses.
To be fair--this part is technically on Oxbow, not Wayward, but as of 4/30/26, my ticket still has not been validated and my fees have accumulated to $64. read more
