First the variety of equipment, there is never a time where I'm waiting for a squat rack or a bench press. The gym sprawls 3 massive rooms with everything you'd ever need. The area is very clean, the staff works round the clock to keep the areas clean. Then there is just the overall community that the gym brings in. Everyone knows everyone and it is a very positive gym culture that the owner Jay has established to make it a place that makes you want to come back to get your lift in. The coaches gave me realistic modifications because using a barbell was new to me. It wasn't long into my workout that I realized only the coaches were paying attention to me. Everyone was busy working on their own thing. I've been coming for 3 years now. I love my 5:30pm class. I'm 48, but we have early twenties to folks in their 60's throwing around weight. Do I do rope climbs, headstand push-ups and all the gymnastics moves? No! But I am working at my own pace and still challenging myself. Coaches Brody, Paige, Glenn and Bob are knowledgeable. It's super clean too! I even got my husband to come and he loves it. I convinced my 55 year old sister to try and she loves it. She says it's very empowering. We had the pleasure of meeting Lacey, one of the personal trainers, and she was absolutely wonderful. She took her time walking us through everything, answered all our questions, and made us feel completely at ease. You can tell she's knowledgeable and passionate, which really stood out to us. We're moving into a nearby subdivision and are thrilled to be joining HIXON. My husband served as a SEAL for many years, and because of that, he holds gyms to a high standard, both in terms of the quality of equipment and the strength of the community.
