I used to enjoy this place as a quiet local spot to relax, but after tonight, I'm reconsidering whether I'll return. I was charged $15.50 for a drink that is usually around $9.00-$11.00 at similar neighborhood bars, which already felt unusually high. While sitting at the bar, a framed license or picture fell off a shelf when the door closed, sending shattered glass just inches from me. I was understandably startled and asked if they could comp my drink. An older gray-haired man sitting at the end of the bar shook his head no and, from what I heard, told the bartender that it "just scared her." When I got home, I found small shards of glass in my hair. To be clear, I don't believe Leslie is aware of this situation, and I'm not trying to speak badly about the bar overall -- I'm simply sharing my personal experience. Living on a tight budget, being overcharged and then having a safety issue dismissed felt upsetting and careless. The situation changed how comfortable and welcome I feel there, which is disappointing because I genuinely used to enjoy coming here. read more

As a retired person with extra time on my hands, I was scrolling through reviews recently looking for new places to try. I'm going to preface my comments with this. We frequent "The Well @ Bradford Junction" on a consistent basis. We absolutely love our little local place because of its wonderful atmosphere and OUTSTANDING service! They always go above and beyond! We look forward to seeing all of their smiling faces! As I scrolled, I noticed a couple of reviews from a month ago complaining about the rudeness of the staff. As I read through them, I realized we were there when this happened. Let me tell you, the account of events did not happen the way it was reported. A young couple came in on a very busy day and ordered drinks. As always, they were asked for their ID. They presented out of state identification with questionable (in Colorado) expiration dates. The server politely said that they couldn't be served due to their IDs. The woman became frustrated and verbally abusive to the bartender saying "She didn't know what she was doing" and really pushing the issue. To a point that it was uncomfortable to watch. Here's the deal folks... Bar Owners and staff absolutely have the right to protect their establishment, their Liquor License and their community by being diligent when checking IDs. In an era where we are seeing more and more deaths due to drunk drivers, I would think anyone would appreciate when an establishment is diligent in this. I know we do! The fact that she and her boyfriend both left terrible reviews shows what kind of people they are. read more

Just tried to eat here. We walked into the building and stood. The staff all ignored us and there was no hostess station so we found a spot to sit. We walked up to the grill area as we though it was a walk up and place your order situation. We were told to sit and wait for our server. 10 minutes later we left. I feel like a ghost. This is one of those reviews your really want to make because of an outstanding experience, but also a review you don't want to make because you don't want to reveal a local hidden gem that you absolutely love! We found The Well years ago and have consistently had a wonderful time there. We went in yesterday after a really tough day of caretaking my elderly parents. As soon as we got there, we were greeted with a huge smile from Caitlyn behind the bar! She took our order and we went and sat outside to listen to music. There is so much charm to their outside area. A cool stage, the smell of the grill, beautiful trees and wonderful people all around you! My margarita was delicious and my husband's drink was perfect! We sat and listened to a wonderful duo sing and play, and my stress melted away. Our food was delicious (Wings and a Cheeseburger from the grill!), and our service was outstanding! Alex was always checking on us and making sure we were good! It was a great way to end the day! The owner (Leslie) was there and came over to check on us. She is always working so hard, but makes time to bring a smile to her guests. She has made a little historical spot into a local spot that welcomes everyone... Locals and newcomers alike. Understand... It's not fine dining, it's where real people go to enjoy time together, a cold beer (or margarita), yummy bar food, great music and some much needed kindness! Found this out-of-the-way place as we were approaching Staunton State Park. The server (owner?) was friendly and welcoming to the dog we had with us. We ordered a pizza, and it arrived in a reasonable time and was fairly priced. Service was fast and friendly. Looks like it has music on some nights and is friendly to motorcycles. read more

I would give ZERO stars, if I could. Customer BE AWARE! The Well will over charge you. Always ask to see the bill regardless of the contactless payment process. I was there in August 4, 2022. I was over charged and did not realize this over charge until 2 days later. I received my receipt via text and did not pay attention to it until 2 days later, which is when I noticed I was over charged. The Well uses a POS that is contactless. I never thought that I had to ask the specifics of my bill, because my spouse and I only had a few drinks. Well, I should have known better and I should have asked what the specifics of the final bill. I never would have thought this restaurant/bar would steal customers money. I guess I am foolish. When I received my receipt, you have the option to either like or dislike the service. I reported that I did not like the service & stated why, do to being over charged. The manager/owner (not sure) responded quickly, we had a few email exchanges, due to the original response from the manager/owner agreed and stated "will gladly make the correction". I even provided a copy of the receipt, which can not be falsified. End result.... manger/owner lied and stated that the "correction was made at the time of your sale"... in other words no mistake was made. I responded, with the request to see their copy of the receipt. This would mean, the receipt would have shown by the amount of the final bill with tip, I would have had to tip more that 50%. Of course, after my last email requesting to view their so called receipt showing the no mistake; the manager/owner had never responded to follow up. So, of course they got away with theft. I went there to have some drinks and listen to the live band. I try to support local business since I live locally. I have been here before and I have had no issues prior to this visit, but I will never return. read more

In town for a show at Red Rocks. While exploring the area and doing some hiking nearby we found this cool little eatery. Stopped in for a beer and a burger. Also had the hummus. Super friendly. We didn't get see but apparently there's live music on certain days. Definitely a good place to cool down after a hike. read more

Frustrating to even get served outside. Went inside to be ignored by what seemed like the owners friends that came in 10 minutes after I was patiently waiting for that long and they served them all immediately but continued to ignore me. Decided to take a drive and have some lunch. Came across this place on google and we decided to give it a try, so we head over and it's open sign is off. My boyfriend called and someone answered and said they were open for take out only. Which we were prepared to grab lunch and find a nice spot scenic view to park and eat. The lady probably the owner who answered the phone was rude and basically could make the call that she didn't need our business. With our current COVID situation were found another business who was happy to serve us. read more

Went today to see a friends band. I have driven my this place many times. It was a little rustic but that's nice. Ordered a couple of beers after we were told to go inside to see the selection. This place should put a beer and wine list on the back of the food dddddmenu. Maybe a couple of specialty cocktails too. Its a older crowd and they were drinking. A little salesmanship would bring in some more money. The beers were nice and cold. The server with tattoos dropped them off and said nothing just walked away. Very cold. Ordered a couple of hot dogs. They came out with a nice char and very good. The young man who delivered them, had a great smile and told us to enjoy. He should train the cocktail server. Ordered another beer and the gal dropped them off, said nothing and walked away. As we ate our food we watched the young guy press out hamburgers without gloves. The kitchen area seemed disorganized and not ready for the large crowd. We had fun, will go back. It just seems that The Well could take it up a notch. read more

I really don't like giving negative reviews, especially of independently owned businesses, that being said, daaaaaang. Leslie was running around like crazy, I only know her name because I overheard a bar patron call her by name. It appeared there were three other people working but not really accomplishing much. We came in around 1 pm on Labor Day Monday. There were maybe 15 tables, it took us a solid ten minutes for Leslie to come over for our drink order. We knew what we wanted by then. We ordered a Sicilian pizza, cheese pizza, chicken nuggets, hamburger and guacamole. At least ten minutes more passed and Leslie came back to let us know the Sicilian pizza was sold out, okay... we will go with pepperoni. It was 1:35. It was 2:12 before we got the pepperoni pizza, if it's not a frozen pizza, I would be SHOCKED. We were told "we didn't expect it would take that long for the pizza." Wait, what? Is this the first day you made pizzas? Over the next TEN minutes the rest of our food slowly trickled out. By this time our toddler had had enough, we requested to go boxes and another ten minutes went by before we received our bill and were able to leave. Holy hell! Oh also, they charge for mayo. We were here for over 1 1/2 hours. I don't know if they were short staffed or what. If this is a normal day, I have no clue how they are still in business. If you want a quick bite on your way home from the mountains, get a hot dog, some people next to us ordered something on a bun and it was quick, but not the burger since that was the last thing that came out for us. There is live music outside, and porta potties in case the one bathroom is occupied. I'm sure it's a cool place to get a beer, but not food. read more

I'm not sure how this place gets a four star rating. It's advertised as food that is American Traditional. It must be known for its bar and music because the food sucks. I ordered a pizza and asked if they could add meat on it. They said no because they are delivered prepackaged. My friends and sister ordered a hamburger and French dip sandwiches.
