The service here is beyond poor. Got into it with a guy years back and instead of the timid bartender kicking him out for the night so there wouldn't be an issue, as he was constantly running his mouth and I was trying to ignore him, she decides to blame it on me and kick me out because he was a regular. I had been going here for 2-3 years and loved this place but this one bartender clearly had always not liked me and so she got to kick me out and gaslight me over total utter nonsense. The rest of the staff here was always great to me, she is awful and has no business enforcing bar policy if she can't end a dispute respectfully. read more

I have been here before for the Super Bowl game, and it was amazing. I was able to get a beer and a few food items. However, I went last night around 8:15 p.m. with a few friends, and we went to the bar. One friend was able to get an alcoholic drink, but my friend who turned 21 a couple of days ago and I were turned down for having vertical IDs. The bartender that night literally flung my friend's ID back at her instead of handing it back, as she should have. After that experience, we will not be going back. She was nice to all the men coming in, but when the three of us females walked in, she immediately became super cold toward us and did not give us the same attention she was giving the men at the bar. read more

Tastiest little bar! My friends & I came to Denver for a work trip and were looking for a quick late night bite. We found this little spot & it was sooo delish! We came in 15 mins before the kitchen closed and the server greeted us with a welcoming smile and "no problem" attitude. We got our order in & out in no time. The bartender when I visited Fiddlesticks was incredibly rude. We were the only women at the bar, and my friends had out of state IDs. As soon as she saw the IDs, she threw one back, and was rolling her eyes at them the rest of the time. I got a drink, and she was somewhat rude to me, but her treatment of my friends was unacceptable. Every other server here is wonderful, but the bartender needs to remember her manners for customers who aren't men, or who are from out of state. read more

Only issue I've ever had was when I asked to watch the wnba finales, they changed the channel a lot to other things, and when you boast 30+ tv's, I shouldn't have to fight to have a championship game on a single tv. This is NOT a food destination - it's a bar that serves average food. The buffalo cauliflower-- heads up, since I apparently missed it, comes covered in blue cheese -- was by far the best thing we tried. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is not hot, but luckily comes with a side of tasty fries. The Southwest salad was utterly flavorless, and none of us could abide the off-putting sweetness of the mozzarella sticks. If you're looking for someplace to drink in Lakewood, I'm sure this is a great option, but if you're primarily interested in the non-liquid offerings I'm sure you can do better. read more

A bar with really good food. Probably because it's owned by the same family who owns Manning's Steakhouse on Alameda. They're open and accepting dine in indoor and on their patio. It's a bar with lots of pool tables and a decent menu beyond bar food. Maybe I am just sick of winter, but it was too cold inside. Felt like the AC was on with snow on the ground outside. A local, suggested steak night, and I will pass along the tip. Actually enough food for a doggie bag and lunch the next day. Great salad, huge baked potatoes and very cold beers. Fiddlesticks is definitely a dive bar with above average food. I've been in a few times for HH and the most recent time I came with my coworkers for a late lunch. We had a really sweet gal serve us and she was prompt with everything. She mentioned the French dip was one of the most popular sandwiches so I wanted to give it a try. I love a good French dip. It did not disappoint! There wasn't a fatty piece of roast beef in my sandwich (which can be a problem with a lot of roast beef sandwiches). I ordered mine Philly style so it came with peppers, onions, and cheese. So good! My coworkers Buffalo chicken sandwich looked amazing and it was huge. We like this place and will keep coming back for sure. read more

It's a bar. They offer trivia and have a few pool tables. But it's bar. Small menu but what I've tried has been good. The location is obvious as well. Service is hot or miss but I'm not going to throw any one untied the bus. Restaurant always gas good/bad days and it may have been a bad day. Plus there were 2 servers that we noticed in the whole place and it got busier the later we stayed. I gave 4 stars be the items on the menu seem pricey for what they are. If you're paying staff more, I'm ok with it. Everyone deserves a living wage. But I never believe a menu that says gourmet anything in a bar. I don't mind the place overall but I'm not a beer drinker and my 18yo sometimes comes out with me so it needs to have more than just beer on the menu. I'm sure I will be back based on the convenience of the place, I just don't know when. read more

I have had this about 5-6 times and it is always better, wow!!! One of the best plates (involving breakfast burritos) of all time!!!! The entire plate and sides are perfect every time, BIG PROPS guys, well freakin done!!!!! I've only also had their steak platter.... I've tried to convice myself that this is not One of the best cooked steaks I've ever had, but have failed. I give you stars of 5 because you are the best (and my) neighborhood pub!! The food is way better than your standard bar food. They make their own roast beef and use it in a lot of their sandwiches....so order that. They also have daily drink and food specials, pool tables, karaoke night and awesome TVs to watch the games. The staff is as good as they come. 1 small negative? They use those booze measurement things. I hate those. I understand why they do that, but as drinkers we may tend to find a place with a better pour. It's not really a neighborhood pub thing to do....that's more of a city thing. Sloppers! Very few places in Denver have the Pueblo Slopper on their menu. Okay, Pueblo Sloppers come immersed in a bowl (and these come smothered on a plate) but they are very good. We order a side of green chile to supplement. This is a fun bar with good food offerings. They have about 15 beers on tap, and good margaritas in a pint glass. Have been to visit the Denver area twice now & I wouldn't say I came back specifically for this place, but I wouldn't not say it either. The Green Chili Cheese Fries are so delicious, I have barely eaten anything (or anywhere) else. The bartenders are friendly & the regulars are fixtures. Plenty of TVs for sports, 2 pool tables that don't seem out of place, despite this being a true bar/restaurant, and a nice outdoor seating area if it's not too cold too enjoy (however, I realize "too cold" is a relative term for Coloradans vs my humidity-laden, warm-blooded, Floridian exoskeleton!). Anyway, I promise you will feel right at home in this bar! I can't recommend the Green Chili Cheese Fries highly enough, but I have to be honest, I have not eaten anything in this place that wasn't off-the-chart-amazingly delicious! Order from the menu OR get the special, whatever it is, you will love it! Do not think twice about coming in for breakfast, either! Breakfast specials have not disappointed yet. If you're looking for something interesting & completely different in the shots-of-whiskey department, ask Jake for Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey. I was disappointed in the food after reading all the reviews- I read the steak and roast beef were amazing ... but we were all underwhelmed. It was normal average bar food, unlike what other yelpers were saying. Two of us got the steak medium rare ($18) with a baked potato and garlic Parmesan fries ($2) The steak was just ok. I like Texas Roadhouse steaks better. There were lots of fatty inedible pieces on both our steaks. The garlic Parmesan fries were meh. I prob should have just gotten steak fries, assuming those were better. Baked potato was fine. My friend got the French dip. It didn't come with any onions or cheese on it. It was meh. My husband and I visited Fiddlesticks yesterday afternoon. When we walked into the bar, one of the hosts or servers told us we could sit anywhere. We decided to eat outside on the patio. There were a few empty tables outside so we grabbed a table. We could see there were a couple of groups who were getting their checks, so we were patiently waiting for someone to greet us and take our drink order. We waited outside for about 20-25 mins and no one greeted us at the table. The server who was already outside just looked at us and kept moving. I can understand if her shift was about to end and she didn't intend on serving our table but she could have at least said something. No one came to our table, so we decided to go inside the bar and grab a booth. A male server walked by and stopped to ask if we'd been helped. He quickly took our drink orders and brought us water. We were excited to get our meals after we waited a little while. However, the food was subpar. I ordered the fish chips and the fried fish was beyond greasy. When I ordered the server forgot to mention the waffle fries would be 2.00 extra. Also, ordered a small amount of honey mustard and didn't find out it was 1.00 extra until I got the check. Mixed reviews but my son really wanted to try it. More of a sport save feel restaurant but not a bad place. Service was good, food above average and drinks- strong! I ordered the Cajun rub, spicy Asian and garlic parm wings Along with the fried pickles. My son did the taco Tuesday.75 tacos and the loaded fries. No complaints- just really good bar food.
