Big fan!! A big enough fan to come back twice in one night. We pregamed a red rock show here, and even stopped back after the show. It was 95° outside, but with the misters on the rooftop, it was such a beautiful afternoon. There was also a complementary buffet of food for patrons. We enjoyed a couple of beers and cocktails, and enjoyed the ample seating options inside and outside. We couldn't believe this place wasn't busier, I think for certain shows it can be packed. The view from the rooftop is incredible. I'm not sure if this is necessarily recommended, but we did walk back here after the show was over from red rocks, it can be done. read more

We came here for a couple of drinks and to hang out. They had a band playing during our visit. The pool tables were open for most of the time, we weren't worried about having to wait for one to become available. The pool tables are $2 in quarters but the employees help with getting change. The star of the show is their outdoor rooftop patio, which is 2 levels. It was not busy when we went but there were a lot of people that were enjoying the rooftop patio on both levels. There are plenty of tables of different sizes for people to enjoy, as well as fireplaces to help keep warm on windy/cold days. It was a great place to hang out, talk and enjoy the view! read more

Very cute restaurant in Red Rocks. Great views and good drinks, a little expensive, but that's to be expected in this area. The food is nothing special, just a typical Mexican restaurant with sub-par food. Our serving staff were very nice, but EXTREMELY slow. We waited over 30 minutes for our check after asking for it, and it wasn't super busy either. Might have just been an off day for them, but it was still slightly frustrating. read more

Fancy bar adjacent to a small restaurant. Lots of seating area. They sell $2 bills, promoted in every corner of the bar lol. There are daily activities listed in the bar's monthly activity print out. Each time i have been to Morrison Holiday Bar I always feel welcomed by the staff and taken care of in a very professional, efficient and fun manner! Cody, bartender, looks up when I walk in and smiles with welcoming words. He has the personality that makes me feel at ease, especially if i go to the bar by myself. Charming lookin dive bar. Was really looking forward to it. Came in here with some friends after hiking around Red Rocks for a couple beers and lunch. Server asked us if we wanted "drinks and food" or "just drinks". Replied "drinks and food". Took our order and brought over beers. Decent tap selection! Waited with our beers for 15 minutes or so and the staff member seemed to be ignoring us- looking away from glances and a couple waves. One of us went to the bar to ask another staff member "hey can we get some food?" And the original staff member interjects, insinuating we were too lazy to order at the bar. Sorry, was our first time so we didn't know. We yielded and apologized, asked for a check because we no longer wanted to stay, and the same staff member yelled at us further. Embarrassing. I recommend avoiding this spot based on attitude alone. read more

Best place to have an event. I cannot speak highly enough about this place and my experience. I spoke with the owner Tom about a baby shower for around 50 people. We randomly stopped in here after a concert at Red Rocks. It looks like a dive bar and has all the elements of a good dive bar: cheap drinks, pool tables, random rock playlist, a local musician cutting their teeth on stage. We were here for an hour before we realized that it had a whole outside area in the back with fire pits everywhere and lounge chairs! It has 3 stories of hip sophisticated space with a great view. After checking out the Red Rocks Amphitheatre we decided to stroll into the quaint town of Morrison and grab a bite. There were a few options mexican, italian, etc. but we were wanting american fare. There were two burger places so I asked a local what she preferred and she actually told us she drove and hour just to get a burger from the Morrison Holiday Bar so a burger from the Morrison Holiday Bar it is! We walked into the bar area. It was local and divey and amazing! Then into the little order area Mill Street Eats to get our burgers. Friendly staffers told us to order our food grab a beer next door than take a seat next to the bubbling stream outside. So darn excited!!! This is exactly the experience I wanted on my Colorado adventure. Good food, good beer, natural pretty environment. I ordered the Lookout Mountain : Applewood Smoked Bacon, Cheddar Cheese & BBQ Sauce $6.99 with sweet potato fries. It was a mean burger cooked perfect and full of flavor. My brother coupled his with tots. My sister had hers on rye & my sis-in-law had grilled chicken sand and loved it. This place is like stepping into a small, mountain town bar that's hours & miles away from Denver. You really feel like you're in another world when you're here, especially with the variety of patrons that visit this establishment. I've come here a couple times to watch one of my favorite bands (The Acusticators) live and it's always been a good time. There is definitely a hometown feel to this bar and you can tell that they have a set of regulars that come in. The bar itself was clean and comfortable and the bartenders were attentive. The drink specials were great for a Friday night and we enjoyed watching the band. Their calendar is packed with live music and themed nights. read more

Servers were great however the owner had made the decision to force all patrons to watch a congressional hearing instead of listening to music which is why I was there. If I could give it a negative 10 I would. Waited over an hour for a burger... Of which they finally admitted they lost. They offered me some ice cream for free, to help I guess. Food is average, unless you love salt. Everything is just coated in salt so you can't taste the actual food. I could go on.... But bottom line, stay away from this ####hole. read more

I've been coming to the Holiday Bar for ever I grew up in Morrison I've had Birthday Parties, Promotion Partys Funeral Reception and all in between. And most recently My Wedding reception asked Dave could him and his staff make this happen and as always they said you bet well had around 150 people food drinks and with the new patio plenty of room Dave and his staff once again a GREAT JOB. This bar has a stage inside of it and lots of mirrors y'all!! Kinda cool, but very small and very creepy patrons lure within. Overall nice atmosphere and wonderful lights that flash like a sky jiggamabop! Woooweeee it's a party up in here. I can see myself coming back for a performance. The bar here has pool tables, a parking lot in the back with a very nice security guard. He watches out for those who don't stay in the area. Don't get him mad, or else he will tow your precious hummer and what not. The bar is also connected to the burger and ice cream joint that I dined in at. We stopped by here after checking out the amphitheater based on reviews for a good burger. I was surprised that it was just a bar with a food counter. You had to order at the counter and pay and then sit in the bar, which was funky smelling. My cheeseburger was not good. It tasted like a school cafeteria burger. Like it was just heated in a microwave and then put on a bun. I thought about ordering a beer but it was kind of awkward since the bar and the food counter were separate. read more

Went here after dinner in Morrison. Drinks were decent and very reasonably priced ('course I'm from Florida so no idea on the going rate for a jack n coke or vodka n soda in Morrison....) and the service was great. They were constantly cleaning tables and checking on people. One thing I thought was weird is that you can smoke in here. Nothing against smoking as I'm a former smoker, but I just found it unusual. There's pool tables, dart boards, and open pit warmth, which, again.... being from Florida....I super appreciated! read more
