I rarely leave negative reviews, especially as someone who understands the restaurant/bar industry and owns a business myself--but this experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Our group (10+ people) drove an hour and a half to visit this establishment after dinner, expecting to enjoy drinks and spend time together. We arrived completely sober, in good spirits, and ready to support a new local spot. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. From the beginning, service felt disorganized. We weren't given menus and had to ask what was even available. We stayed patient and understanding, assuming it was just a busy night. When we finally placed orders, the majority of our group ordered non-alcoholic beverages, with only a few ordering alcohol, all IDs were checked without issue. Shortly after, when we went to use the pool tables, we were told someone in our group was "intoxicated and stumbling," which was simply not true. Not only was this confusing, but it was especially concerning that the accusation was directed at the only person of color in our group. That immediately made multiple people uncomfortable enough to leave. When we brought this to management, the response was dismissive: "I didn't see anything, but I have to back my staff." While I understand supporting employees, there was no effort to investigate, de-escalate, or even hear us out. From there, things only got worse. We waited over 30 minutes and were eventually brought out random food items (a pretzel and a burger), while none of our drinks, including majority waters and sodas, ever arrived. At that point, half our table had already left due to how uncomfortable the situation had become. When we questioned the lack of service, we were told they thought we "didn't want anything anymore," which made no sense, if that were the case, why was food still brought out at all? The explanation was inconsistent, and the manager became visibly flustered, eventually raising his voice and getting confrontational. To make matters worse, staff were visibly standing in the back staring, pointing, and talking about our group, which only added to the discomfort and embarrassment of the situation. As a business owner, I fully understand that customers are not always right, and I respect that establishments must make judgment calls regarding alcohol service. However, this was not about being "cut off" this was about poor communication, lack of basic service, and unprofessional behavior from both staff and management. This experience completely ruined what was supposed to be a special night with family and friends. We went out of our way to support this business, and instead left feeling disrespected, confused, and unwelcome. I hope ownership takes a serious look at how situations like this are handled in the future because this was not just a simple "miscommunication." It was a breakdown in service, accountability, and professionalism in all. I also want to address the "racism" being thrown about, undoubtedly there is racism of all kinds in the world we live in and for you as an owner to say due to your own race you cannot be racist towards another minority is a flawed and dismissive stance. Anyone, regardless of their own background, is capable of bias, and using that as a defense avoids accountability. It behooves you as a business, owner & management, to listen to customer feedback and do better going forward. We are not the first to report such an unenjoyable experience here and as a new business, especially one where you know how to run a proper business as you have others that have had successes, instead of focusing on chat GPT to respond to these real life situations, focus on better training, better staffing, and honestly look at the world around you and realize there are too many resources for something like this to not get attention. Do better, be better, and quite frankly to anyone looking for a spot to try, the atmosphere was not great, the service was not great, the management is aloof...just go grab a burger quite literally ANYWHERE else. read more

Mind you this place was formerly "The Still" but it shuttered its doors after two major accidents & people got attorneys & until February it stood empty until this year when this came in. The place still has the size & does local bands, music is pretty much modern & the food seems to match. My case I selected a dozen wings & they did half Honey BBQ & half dry Cajun rub (yes they are real wings and crispy ones as well & my burger was the Cowboy Burger (they accidentally forgot to not put cheddar and pickle but second one they got right) well done and fries as my side & not bad for $45.00 for myself. My little one for the suggestion box for them is if someone isn't sure about the wings & wanted mix of both styles do thus in the eight or twelve wings offering. read more

Stopped in with my buddy for an early Dinner. Very nice, bright, airy and open atmosphere. Very clean and modern. A very long, huge bar with plenty of room with numerous tables. We were seated at a table in the back by the end of the bar. Our server Hallie was great! Very pleasant, prompt, attentive and friendly. We ordered the French onion soup and the giant pretzel. Both were delicious, especially the Gruyère cheese topping on the soup and the applewood smoked bacon honey mustard dipping sauce with the pretzel. We both picked the Brisket burger, some pink for me and I chose the onion rings. My burger was moist, delicious and cooked perfectly and the rings great. I have no complaints with my burger at all. Although not mentioned I believe the patties are 6oz. before cooking. They also have a food and drink special list that's worth checking out as well. The busy GM stopped by several times to chat with us, fill water, etc. All in all we had a great time at The Well Burger Bar and will definitely be returning. read more

This spot not only has good food but is also entertaining. The day we went was trivia. The service was spectacular. The ambiance is fresh. However you want your special order it can be adjusted. We called ahead for food to be ready, waited 20 minutes extra upon arrival and the food was terrible! The turkey club was specifically asked for with no tomato yet came packed with tomatoes and 1 slice of turkey!! The chicken Alfredo was dry as if sitting out too long. Very disappointing. Went to try the new lunch menu today. It was my first time eating here. There was only a handful of people there and the waitress was very friendly and explained the menu and the specials. I ordered the flatbread WWB pizza. My friend got the chicken Alfredo. Both of us were very happy with our meals. I will try it again for lunch. read more

Went to The Well this week. Calling yourself a "burger bar" I expected a better burger. It was very, very average; pretty dry and I would guess not fresh, but frozen. If I return I would try something else. As far as the building goes, the women's room still smells like The Still & frankly could use a good deep clean. Poor service and ok over priced food. Was there during some event and the waitress wich were only three for the whole place catered to thise customers. All other people there were on there own practically. Had to get up and ask the bartender for a 2nd drink and got a piss poor attitude from hem. I wanted to do a review here mainly because of a prior review regarding racist accusations. I've only ever been to this place once before as the Still and it was mostly ok. I decided to try it again after its relaunch. We made a reservation for 6pm Saturday with no problem. We could have walked in honestly. The gentleman, who I believe may be a manager or owner greeted us kindly and agave us our choice of table. Sas waited in us and was sweet and a little shy. The busser with the glasses and slim frame could use a little pep talk but overall still a good vibe. Not too loud or rowdy by any means at that point. I got the truffle Wagyu burger with regular fries. The burger was excellent. Very juicy and maybe 30 secs too long on the grill but overall excellent. The fries could use some work. They were a bit dry and have a feeling they were sitting in a warmer for a little bit. One thing that stuck out was there was no racism going on. I wasn't there when the woman who "doesn't post negative review" (she's posted 5 total reviews folks....5) was there but my red flags went up almost immediately. To cry racism with such little context is in poor taste and unfounded. It is out of bounds to say that without certainty that's what's happening. If I had to guess, you likely did have a rowdy friend with you, however many of you drove an hour and half for some gaudily reason and were drinking on your way up here. You didn't come all the way here to go to this restaurant...you were already coming...guaranteed. Even if the person was the only one of color, which do you think is harder? Denying someone alcohol and knowingly starting a commotion OR potentially serve someone driving who is believed to be intoxicated already? The oath of least resistance, right? Businesses don't WANT to not serve you. That's...there...business. Denying someone alcohol never ends well and to waste of those instances on someone who is "clearly not intoxicated" makes no sense. Furthermore, to say it was a race thing in top of that screams red flag. I'm sure you went to another bar and fulfilled your 50 mile quest for a buffer and way too Many drinks and forgot about the whole thing while driving 90 down 91 South puking out the passenger window. Have a nice day lady and stay close to home. We would all appreciate that for our safety and yours. I would come back here no problem.
