I'm not a gym person at all with the crowds, unprofessional staff and inconsiderate people. My friend recommended I try The Well Studio as the environment is completely different from what you'd expect at a gym. The Well Studio is a coed "boutique gym" - small, clean, modern, welcoming, zen-like space offering group glasses: cardio, yoga, barre, Pilates, TRX along with plenty of equipment to get a good workout. I do enjoy high energy, cardio type-group classes so mainly sign up for UJams, Cardio Kick and cardio/core strength which I love...once in a routine I'll sign up for other class like Pilates and barre for the stretch aspect. It's only been 1.5 months but really appreciate the friendly staff, energetic and motivating instructors like Teresa K, Lisa P, Gillian, Jackie and Ramsey. Thank you! Half the battle is getting there and once done, I feel great after...and truly it has helped to improve my mental health as well as boosting my energy level. Other services offered: live streaming and on-demand classes, workouts and wellness education, semi-private training sessions, including Pilates and all floor training sessions. Plenty of parking without the crowds and gym members are considerate in a non-judging environment! Thumbs up!

I was looking for a gym in the area and didn't think the "big box" gym culture fit my goals. I I thought, only 5 star reviews... Must be too good to be true. Thankfully I was wrong! I started my intro membership by only going to yoga classes, but soon branched out into strength classes. I went from sedentary to going to the gym four, five, sometimes even six times a week!!! It's a non-judgmental space that is welcoming to beginners. Sometimes this means that I (on the active side) need to work harder to challenge myself. My favorite instructors are Ramsey, Cassie, and Kim. and I love that Gillian at the front desk knows my name :) It took me forever to find their pricing options - if you go to their online schedule, there's a tab where you can see pricing of memberships. I'm not sure I'll stick with the classes forever, but right now it feels like a delicious splurge on my well-being!

Early morning barre class! Made it in the nick of time at the Well!

My HDL cholesterol number have always been lower. It has jumped up from the thirties to 62 in the last year after I started more vigorous yoga like sculpt from Moji and Bikram from Jamie.. I'm still able to bench 315 pounds once a week because yoga works on my small muscles . All heavy weight lifters have sore shoulder joints which yoga has helped me overcome greatly . But sculpt and Bikram is not easy especially at 72 but I try my best to get through the class.

I joined yoga because I needed an outlet for my anxiety and burnout from work. I feel more flexible and for the first time ever, have been able to touch my toes (a small but important success for me). All the instructors are great, especially Satya and Varsha. I absolutely love the fact that they take the time and explain why the poses are done in each way, the importance of it and what part of the body we're working on. I've always been hesitant about starting yoga because I have been very conscious about my lack of flexibility and unable to hold certain poses. But at YogaSukhum, it's never about the ability to hold a pose, it's where your body is that day and going into the pose correctly and safely. Using yoga props, not forcing poses and listening to my body, has allowed me to improve on my flexibility, feel stronger and have been able to hold and do poses that I never thought I would be able to. The instructors are very personable, will address specific limitations and will provide any modifications needed to feel comfortable and confident. I truly appreciate that they push us to go further, but never make us uncomfortable. I have also attended a sound bathe and an inversion training class. It was my first time experiencing a sound bathe and it was very different and beautiful experience. I was very nervous trying the inversion class, but I wanted to go outside my comfort zone and try something different. The class was a lot of fun and the way they slowly approached inversions really helped me feel safe and comfortable trying it. We used an inversion trainer and it was honestly a lot of fun. They have classes multiple times a day - daily and have an option of joining online. Even online, the instructors will give each yogi attention, encouragement and feedback. The classes are 75 min long, but the time goes by so fast. Classes are easy to join via using their app and they have great membership options. They are also very mindful of COVID regulations and everyone who attends must be vaccinated. I am so glad my husband googled a yoga studio near us and found this amazing place for me. After trialing it for 15 days, I signed up for a 6 month commitment without any hesitation. The most important aspect I respect about coming here is the emphasis of mind, body and breath. I am very grateful for this yoga studio and the instructors.

Personally I make every excuse not to come to class but once I'm here and I'm done, it's 110% worth it. You'll feel stronger, relaxed and all the stress and worries just go away. I come here to not think about the outside world for just an hour and it really works. Whether it's your first time coming or you've been a yogi forever, I'm sure you can agree with me but the classes are great and as long as you come here with an open mind, you'll keep coming back! Ok down to the logistics. First things first, if you're new, welcome! Signing up is easy. You can either sign up at the location or online and you get a free week! What a great deal right? You can literally take as many classes and try them all before you commit to a set of classes or the black tag membership. Next, sign up for classes online and then head on over. Once you get here, check in the front and then walk to the back to drop off your belongings. Although this place is in a nice location, I would bring a lock just in case you leave your personal belongings. I usually leave my mat bag and then bring my wallet, keys and phone to class but that's because I always forget to bring my lock. Then walk over to room 1 or 2 for your class. Set up your mat and enjoy your class. Some other key tips or just things to know and bring - a water bottle and a towel to dry yourself off. Oh and try not to step on other yogi's mats if you're trying to move around in a crowded class. That's it! Enjoy and hope you found this review helpful. If you did, give me a thumbs up and a follow!

Upon arrival we walked in and it was so empty in the front room. We waited a while and peeked around at the merch but no one came to the desk and the class was starting soon so we wandered into the back. We found the only room with silks hanging and entered, the instructor was incredibly off-putting and cold. She didn't welcome us, or even look at us when we approached her to intro ourselves. She scolded us for not checking in properly even though no one was in the building to tell us. She put my friend and I in far apart spots and when we requested to be near each other she huffed. The class itself is a whole lot of fun. Being new to using silks, the instructor explained the movements well and I felt confident in executing new moves. After she felt out the class she even walked us through a more advanced upside down movement. There was one student who was clearly very advanced in aerial yoga/acrobatics so the instructor had him do the majority of the demonstrations.

After that was complete I waited a week before I sign up for 3 month of all access pass (all access allows use of all locations) . Since I joined in October , I've completed 44 classes. I have attended classes at all four locations. I chose to try Joya because it offers Bikram Yoga, Circuit, HIIT, and more! All of the facilities are amazing. Their facilities are always clean and I love that three locations have showers. I enjoy attending 5:45 AM and 6:00 AM classes. The instructors are always energetic and excited to teach! , Considering most of us get up at like 4:45-5:00 AM to be at class by 6:00 AM. I have not yet attended - Joya Cycle (I have a sciatic issue) - jBarre (availability/classes always full) - jFit (availability/classes always full) - Cardio Blast (availability) - Ariel Yoga II (availability) Again, I can only attend early morning classes due to schedule. I have attended a few weekend classes which there is a ton of availability at all locations. I personally love how intense the HIIT/Pilates and Jcircuit classes are. I really get a total body workout in those classes. I love that Joya offers HOT Bikram in 60min, 75 min, and 90min sessions. I do one of those classes once a week. Bikram has done wonders for my health since I started doing it in. 2014. If you are looking to change up your routine, or to try something new. I highly recommend you doing a one month trial for $39.00 with Joya! I'm rating Joya 5 stars because of the classes they offer, the facilities, and my personal experiences with staff and instructors!
