Personally I make every excuse not to come to class but once I'm here and I'm done, it's 110% worth it. You'll feel stronger, relaxed and all the stress and worries just go away. I come here to not think about the outside world for just an hour and it really works. Whether it's your first time coming or you've been a yogi forever, I'm sure you can agree with me but the classes are great and as long as you come here with an open mind, you'll keep coming back! Ok down to the logistics. First things first, if you're new, welcome! Signing up is easy. You can either sign up at the location or online and you get a free week! What a great deal right? You can literally take as many classes and try them all before you commit to a set of classes or the black tag membership. Next, sign up for classes online and then head on over. Once you get here, check in the front and then walk to the back to drop off your belongings. Although this place is in a nice location, I would bring a lock just in case you leave your personal belongings. I usually leave my mat bag and then bring my wallet, keys and phone to class but that's because I always forget to bring my lock. Then walk over to room 1 or 2 for your class. Set up your mat and enjoy your class. Some other key tips or just things to know and bring - a water bottle and a towel to dry yourself off. Oh and try not to step on other yogi's mats if you're trying to move around in a crowded class. That's it! Enjoy and hope you found this review helpful. If you did, give me a thumbs up and a follow!

The yoga room felt comfortable, very spacious and the people who come here all are quite friendly with one another. They also had wipes which I used to wipe down our blocks. I set up my mat towards the front of the room by the side wall (closet) and as I was getting ready to lay down and do some stretching I noticed a cockroach running across on my mat and luckily I had the wipes I used to wipe down my mat so I was able to smush it but ughh was so disgusted by it, and I couldn't help but think what if I hadn't seen it and I was already laying down it may have ran and brushed up next to me or got in my hair. And I wouldn't have seen it, but the fact that I did put me in a totally different headspace the rest of the night and felt unsettled by it the rest of the class. Well after class ended and the lights came on and I was getting ready to clean up and roll my mat, I AGAIN saw a bug (I don't know what kind) making its way on my mat! Very disappointing and uneasy. The class itself was great, the instructor was wonderful, it did get quite warm in there during our class which I noticed our instructor opened the door to let some air in. I did let the instructor know after that I saw cockroach in the beginning of class and it seemed like the facility was already aware of this issue, as she acknowledged that the roaches come from under the closet door, however, it didn't feel like much is being done to address it. So yogis, beware of securing a spot by the closet as these could very easily come out. With that said, I hope the studio can take additional steps to address and eliminate the presence of roaches and other bugs so members can feel comfortable and relaxed in the space, especially after what was found last night.

I am grateful for her warm & nurturing presence and her relaxed attitude & guidance. There were options for her classes and I went with one on one zoom, given that I've never Yoga before, I felt more comfortable with lots of personal attention. She's always able to bring me to that state of feeling grounded and very relaxed after each class, a yoga high. LOL It was exactly what I needed physically and mentally. Communication is also wonderful with Carolyn, she touch bases regularly to see if there is something specific I like to work on and she'll adjust accordingly or sometimes just checking in to see where my headspace is at :) Multiple options for classes. One on one, group, special workshops. Read her Bio, she's been practicing yoga since 5th grade! Wow!! Thank you Carolyn!

Yesterday's zoom yoga session was like a doctor's prescription, it healed me in immeasurable ways. With a pesky mode of arthritis that extensive supplements, sleep regime, nutraceuticals, gentle stretching and pharmaceuticals can't make much difference, this form of physical attention to the body absolutely helps! Try it, you will not be sorry. Again, another devotee for years, but good things take time. So try it and don't give up. Try it again.

In about a little over a month's time, not only have the headaches lessened by 80% but I feel much stronger than before. I have taken yoga classes with different teachers many times before however I have never experienced yoga classes like the one that Priya takes. She is an incredible teacher and I really look forward to her classes.  Priya is very authentic, trusting and extremely pure at heart and this shows in how she cares for her students overall health & wellness.  She has a deep understanding of anatomy and explains each yoga pose which has allowed me to understand my body better. She challenges me in a gentle way to do better each day with the result that I have gained lot of confidence in my practice.  Each session is fun & is a blend of relaxation techniques, pranayama, yoga, assisted stretches and strength exercises.  What I really like about her overall program is that she focuses on the overall health of her students - For example in my case, apart from the focus of healing migraines, she introduced postpartum yoga exercises for helping me recover faster, assisted stretches( because she is so attentive to how her students do the yoga poses that she is able to make out which body part muscle need more flexibility), customized deep breathing & meditation techniques. I feel stronger, more flexible and much calmer than before! Thankyou Priya for making such a huge difference in my life - you have instilled the importance of yoga life long in me!!

5/5 stars First and…read moreforemost, Meera has completely revolutionized the way I see and practice yoga in many more ways than one! I first started working with Meera almost 2 years ago (I have been practicing for about 10 years now) when she started offering weekly virtual classes during the beginning of the pandemic. This immediately helped me with my mental health using her unique flows, sometimes it almost felt like dancing, to calm my mind as the stress of my tech job began seeping into my personal life. Fast forward 6 months and I was so happy to join her studio sessions and workshops in person at Yoga Garden where she went deeper into both the physical (offering outstanding adjustments) and mental (through breath work, meditation, and even chanting!) aspects which continued to help improve my overall wellbeing and even got me through some of the most stressful points of my career to date. Fast forward again to today and I'm so excited to have joined her new private 1-1 in-person offering. She has built numerous highly personalized routines and she not only teaches me when we are together but has helped me to build a sustainable self-practice that I use daily. The practice includes a combination of asanas (typical movement poses and flows), pranayama (breath work which has improved both my lung capacity as well as calming the constant chatter in my mind), and chanting (something I had never previously considered and which has allowed me to build more focus into my daily life). Meera offers a style of yoga that I have yet to find anywhere else where she conducts a truly holistic practice rather than the traditional, fitness-forward, style which is exactly what I have needed to enjoy a well-rounded lifestyle. I would encourage anyone looking to experience yoga that goes all the way back to its holistic roots to give Meera's sessions a try. Her sessions and style have flipped standard studio yoga on its ear to the point where it has become a major part of my life and has given me a completely new outlook on how I approach my health and wellness and is something I will absolutely carry on for the rest of my life! 10/10 I would recommend Meera to all ages, demographics, and lifestyles!

I'm sharing this because I wish I found someone like Casey sooner…read more I've had two sessions so far, and both were deeply personalized and exactly what I needed. In the first session, we revisited childhood memories and worked on rewriting the emotional experience I carried as a child, especially not being able to understand why my parents were busy and working (even though they were doing their best with what they knew). We ended with a chakra rebalancing meditation that helped my nervous system settle in a way I didn't expect. The second session focused on my recent grief and the patterns it has been triggering in my relationships. Casey guided me through an imagery meditation where I practiced giving myself the love, safety, and security I've been trying to find externally, and leaving the pain in the past where it belongs. It felt like emotional closure, but also like learning a new way to care for myself. Casey truly feels like a walking hug. She's present, loving, grounded, and radiant. I felt held the entire time, and I left feeling more supported than I've ever felt in a romantic relationship. The biggest gift is that she's helping me learn to provide that same compassion and safety to myself, and heal my codependency from the inside out. She has been one of the most profound people the universe has placed on my healing path. If you're considering working with her, I can't recommend her enough

We've never officially practiced yoga before, so we had no idea what we were doing but Casey was extremely patient, kind, and helpful, guiding us and assisting whenever we needed it. I loved how intimate the class felt. At times, we don't enjoy being around large groups, so the smaller, more personal setting made us feel at ease (and honestly, so much more present ). Casey's studio is incredibly comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, which created a calming and welcoming environment from the moment we walked in. I truly appreciated how kind and warm both Casey and her daughter were toward us. Their energy made us feel safe, welcomed, and comfortable to just be ourselves. The moment we got back into the car, my daughter kept asking if we were going to do this again and that alone says everything. This was such a special bonding experience for us, and we're so grateful to have shared our first yoga class here. We look forward to another class soon. Thank you so much !

I will not return to JOYA yoga as a franchise and can not in good conscience recommend specifically…read moreJOYA BLACKHAWK to any experienced yogi--with specific plea to any dear person who is at all interested in yoga and what it can add to your life (much beauty, respite, grace, and nervous system healing to start--) but has been for whatever normal reason been hesitant to try--please consider this review. It is 2026 and Joya Blackhawk is still not only promoting degrading, hostile and condescending Bikram yoga but they stand behind a male instructor who operates under the absurd teaching style of a yoga teacher who is known for abusing women. Estevan is Joya's male instructor. His teaching "style" is rooted in total dominance and attempted control of the student: 1. Barking 2. Demanding 3. Singling out by name, or by no name, as his subconscious projection that you don't deserve to be named because the way you move (or can't move) is offensive to his "lineage" 4. Passive aggressive language by definition and design 5. Words, cues, and reprimands designed specifically by abuser Bikram in teacher trainings to shame the student into mental and physical submission: "open your eyes. Open your eyes. I said, OPEN your eyes!" Of note, if you are a favored student of this instructor, you are but a means to his end- he will use other students both new and expert to degrade the Humanity of the unfamiliar or new student (e.g. you) whose presence confuses his ego and he then initiates his "lineage" to verbally dehumanize your presence, efforts, and connection to self. Bikram's lineage is one of control. Some women thrive under male control and in a proper Bikram class you can identify them with the instructor's first verbal shaming of another. There are so many beautiful, challenging, intense (if that is your desire), and hot yoga practices with teachers and lineages with voices of kindness, softness, and encouragement all while helping you to discover and reconnect with yourself---ultimately having wondrous healthy effects on your nervous system. There is absolutely no acceptable reason in 2026 with the education we have as a society around mobility, functional strength, breathwork, the body and the effects of negative words and *negativity* on the mind AND body--eg the effects of positivity and connection on cancer and heart disease---that a business in wealthy Danville should need to harbor a perpetuator of verbal abuse covertly veiled as a yoga teacher of a style of yoga that has plenty of replacement options to meet the desired charateristics of strength building, heat, intensity, a set sequence, and athleticism. Please, if you are a decent human being with self respect and an inclination for kindness, hope, and a belief in the goodness of women and humanity--please take class at ~~~Y6 YOGA~~~ instead. I highly recommend ~*~*~DANVILLE Y6~*~*~ for their formidable, wise, warm, welcoming, experienced female staff- all of whom hold gentle, inviting, empowering space for all people of all walks of life.
