I love this place! Right across the street from Guisado's Tacos on Sunset Blvd in Echo Park! It's called the westerner because these guys love westerns with a passion, they play all western movies all day! Plus the shop is loaded from memorabilia from their life and stuff they've picked up along the way. No nonsense, good cuts, great guys, and they can normally find time to slot you in if they can. Always call ahead for your convenience, but if you stop by and have to wait there are tons of cool shops on this little strip! I've been coming here for 3 years and don't go anywhere else!

Dane and Ben give the best fades and cuts I've found in LA. Super nice guys and very talented. Besides that, this place has a killer vibe

When I was there I was offered a drink and I chose the whiskey. I hate to say it, as a drinker thus kinda frustrated me because it was so little of an amount. I get it but dang I wanted some more. Valerie was my manicurist and she took her time giving me the full works on my very easy hands and toes because they were pretty short already but she was meticulous with everything. She did a great job. I liked the whole thing but as I look at some of the reviews the one thing I never hear anyone mention about is the price and at $150 for a Mani pedi some may say it's expensive, sheesh, I'm saying it. Lol Other than the price I enjoyed the experience as opposed to going to a regular nail shop. There are no drinks at some of the places I've been too. I'd do again, when I hit the lottery. I enjoyed it though and everything was finished in about an hour and ten.

Before I went in I called just to ask what the hours of operation were and how much they charge for a regular cut for men. I would recommend you do to so you know in advance. When I called the lady on the phone was so nice and had no issue answering my questions and said I can stop by anytime. I was staying local and decided to walk over, maps took me to bubble hair with no issues. It's located in the small plaza towards the middle of it. I walked in and immediately was greeted by Yen & Li. These two lovely ladies were so nice and very welcoming. I was the only one in the shop at the moment, they sat me on a chair and asked what type of haircut style I was looking for. I showed them an image from google to give them the best visual I could. To MY SURPRISE, my hair cut came out great! I usually get a haircut every week out in Long Beach or in Temple City/El Monte but I'm happy to find another location that's reasonable in price and great in quality. I used to be very picky with my haircut but the older I get I'm like it's just hair but I still want a nice clean cut. These ladies provided that and were so fun to chat with, we chatted the whole time and cracked jokes... they definitely made me feel welcome. If you need a reasonable and decent men's cut I highly recommend.... Oh and I over heard there prices are very good for women's hair as well. Stop by and support a local/small business. SYoY :)

A year ago we tried doing Sun-In on my daughter's hair when at the beach, (for old time sake) and to get some cute golden streaks in her hair. Thankfully it didn't ruin her hair and it looked ok but the grow out was looking chunky and dark on top. Tonantzin came HIGHLY reccomended by several moms online with awesome successes of children's cuts and fun highlights. I felt at ease knowing she knew what she was doing! My daughter had been begging for a special salon day, and boy did she get it with Tonantzin! She said in addition to having her golden hair evenly highlighted, the SCALP massage was amazing! I had one of the worst haircut experiences of my life at the Silverlake location with Chris R…read more I specifically asked for a mid skin fade, shaved bald and close to the scalp, and instead received a high fade taken far too high into the top, with uneven blending throughout. There was even a visible patch of hair left on the right side. The top was completely inconsistent, including a noticeably longer section in the front that clearly hadn't been cross-checked. The entire cut looked sloppy and careless at best, like a bowl was placed on my head and everything below it was shaved with no blending or refinement. To make matters worse, he nicked my right ear with the blade, and I felt irritation on the left side of my head as well, which made it obvious the haircut was being rushed. The entire appointment felt like an "in and out" situation with very little care or attention to detail. There was no mirror check or opportunity to make adjustments before finishing. I was given a hot towel, brushed off, and that was it... no wash, no proper finishing, no product. He removed the cape and sent me to pay. For someone labeled as a Level 3 "master" barber, the quality was shocking once I got home and really saw the haircut. Because I had a trip the next day, I had to go to another barbershop to fix it, which cost me an additional $50 on top of the $90 service and $20 tip I already paid. Even the barber who corrected it was surprised at how poorly it had been done. To their credit, I did reach out to corporate and they issued a refund, which I appreciate. However, it doesn't change the experience. Between the rushed environment and lack of skill shown here, I would never feel comfortable returning. I strongly recommend being very cautious about who you book with here. Thankfully, I've since found a very skilled barber in Atwater Village who was genuinely shocked after seeing photos of this cut.
