A 1-Night Stay at The Westin. Took our 2-year old son to the Indoor Pool on Friday afternoon and again on Saturday morning. We really enjoyed ourselves on Friday since there was nobody. But on Saturday morning, there was a Mother with 2 older children and they were boisterous, inconsiderate, obnoxious and rude! One of her kids actually threw their goggles at my wife and child, almost hitting them inside the pool. I understand it was an accident, but the Mother did not even apologize and seemingly blamed my wife for being in the way. Like, seriously?!? I had to contact front desk and inform them of what had happened. Pretty incomprehensible! Some people are disrespectful, acting like they owned the place when they were not even watching their kids! There was a couple in the jacuzzi who felt the same way, saying how loud the 2 children were and how the Mom didn't do anything to control them! Besides that lousy encounter, our stay inside the hotel room was convenient and pleasant. Had a chance to go to the Bellevue Square Mall, browsed around a bit and we also picked up some food in the area. In addition, we dropped by Uwajimaya in Bellevue. It's O.K. and quite frankly a little over-priced for what it is. Westin hotels used to be a bit more full service but this one appears to have trimmed back on what they provide to guests. The first sign of issues started right when I pulled up in my car. I waited a bit for help with our luggage but nobody showed up. It appears that this hotel does not have a bell hop to help you with your stuff which is kind of mind blowing; we unloaded all of our luggage to a cart and wheeled it up to our room. Like a lot other hotels in the Marriott group these days, this one is starting to show its age. The decor and furnishings, while clean and well-maintained, feel like they were introduced in 1999 and never updated. Our room was perfectly fine but also the whole time I was thinking I probably should have booked the newer W hotel next door for the same daily price. There's a place to eat here but like most Westins you probably want to go elsewhere as it's really just serviceable (and there are much better options literally within the same block!) The W is a bit more brash and oriented towards the young but it's also pretty new and more value for your buck. read more

I visited Truce spa recently to celebrate my birthday, along with my cousin's and grandmother's birthdays. I booked a facial, massage, and mani pedi; expecting a peaceful, relaxing experience, instead I received an incredibly hurtful, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate service. During my service, the esthetician made repeated unsolicited comments about my appearance. She compared me to her daughter in a negative way, calling her "chubby" and "not that cute," and then implied similar things about me. She asked why I didn't have a boyfriend, suggested I "don't apply myself," and told me I needed to "take better care of myself" if I wanted to "look better" and "get a nice rich husband." What made this especially painful is that she knows nothing about me or what I've been through. I have spent the last year working extremely hard on myself; physically, mentally, and emotionally. I'm still on that journey, and for her to make those comments so casually was incredibly insulting. She had no idea how much effort I've put into healing and improving my life. I also recently got out of a difficult relationship, so hearing her repeatedly say that I "needed a man" was demeaning and unnecessary. A spa should never be a place where clients are judged or pressured about their personal lives. Although touching is part of a facial, the way she pinched my cheek/chin area while commenting on my "double chin" felt degrading. It wasn't part of the treatment -- it was done to make a point about my appearance, and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I usually have thick skin, but imagine if someone who wasn't mentally stable or who was struggling with body image had been in that chair. Comments like that can do real emotional harm. No client should ever be spoken to that way, especially in a setting meant for relaxation and care. I am a manager myself, and I would never tolerate this kind of behavior from anyone on my team. There is no scenario where speaking to a client like this is acceptable. Professionalism, empathy, and boundaries are basic expectations in any customer‑facing role -- especially in a spa environment where clients are vulnerable. I left feeling embarrassed, hurt, and shocked -- on what was supposed to be a special birthday outing. I'm sharing this because I truly hope management takes this seriously, addresses the behavior, and provides proper training so that no one else has to experience something like this. I followed up in person with Carol the manager at Truce spa on 5/7/26. She said how sorry she was and that they would address the issue internally and get back to me. It has been almost a full week and there has been zero follow up as promised. I am sharing my story so that others may read this review and possibly avoid a similar horrible experience from Truce spa. They charge a premium for supposed great service but didn't deliver nor did they follow through after sharing my experience directly in person. read more

The Bellevue Westin has become our go to spot every time we are over on the west side of the state. It's located next-door to Lincoln Square, home of Din Tai Fung!, And across the street from Bellevue Square. The rooms are beautifully appointed, spacious, and the beds are downright comfortable! We've sampled a lot of different Marriott properties, and ultimately have landed on this one in the area because of the beds, the phenomenal pool and hot tub set up, as well as the free parking on Friday and Saturday nights. It's located five stories underground, so it's probably a good spot to know about if there's ever a tornado in Seattle! We love the fact that we can park here and then walk around most of Bellevue, including places that are more than a couple blocks away. The staff are always incredibly friendly and they often have good last-minute deals, as well as reasonable Marriott point redemptions. All in all, it's one of our favorite places to stay! Do yourself a favor and check the place out. read more

Visited Bellevue for my best friend's 21st birthday and the Westin made our trip perfect! The rooms were so nice and even had balconies with amazing views of the city! We ordered room service one of the mornings and it was delicious! All of the employees were friendly and helpful. They provided us with all the amenities that we needed to have a perfect stay. I came to Bellevue for a night and ended up at the Westin. I found all of the staff, from Valet to the front desk, everyone I met was awesome. The room was great. I was told that the room had been updated. All I know is when I walked into the room, I was super happy. It was gorgeous. I had plenty of room, my shower had frosted glass, the whole room was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. And I had a corner room with a lot of light. The location was perfect, I was there for a conference at a hotel a block away, this hotel was across the street from the mall, surrounded by so many food choices. And it was obviously easy to walk a block to the other hotel for the presentation. The hotel itself was quiet, and that's saying something because there was a DECA conference going on and a lot of young people running around. I couldn't hear anyone from my room. The only downside, and this has more to do with cities and has nothing to do with the hotel, but geez, it's crazy how noisy cities are. I didn't sleep well between the loud cars, sirens, and garbage trucks. It's just a suggestion, take ear plugs and have a white noise app. read more

If you want a relaxing stay, do not book this hotel. You will leave so much more stressed out. From bait and switches to the absolutely disgusting state of the rooms, it's not worth your time, money, or energy. The website is not honest and clear about what you will experience. The problems and decline in quality went on and on. It was an absolute waste of money and time. I do want to say the staff helped as much as they could and I know that mismanagement and profits-over-people comes from higher levels than the front desk staff. The main reason we were staying at the Westin Bellevue hotel was because at the time a promotion was running (the Snowflake Lane promo; you receive a $100 gift card to the nearby mall every night you stay). Three hotels in the area were running the promotion and we picked The Westin over the others, again based on what the website says you'll be getting. On our end we did everything right to book with that promotion but wh​en we arrived (around 11:40 pm) we were told that we actually didn't book the promotion. We didn't understand why and honestly at that point we were too tired and hungry to deal with it at that time. It was also a bit of an ordeal to get into the hotel as the accessibility button to automatically open the door was broken and my partner uses a wheelchair. On the second day of our stay we went to the desk to talk to them more clearly about the promotion issues and we were told to pay an additional $60 to gain access to the gift cards, which the web site did not mention at all. The first thing we noticed in our room were coffee stains on the nightstand and stains on the sofa. We also noticed there was no bathtub in the bathroom. The web site clearly stated in the description of the room that it included a bathtub/shower combo. Unfortunately my partner can't bathe without the bathtub and we would have booked an accessibility* suite if we knew, but the information on the site clearly does not match. I talked to the front desk about the bathtub issue and they told me that none of the floors above the 5th floor have bathtubs. Again they expected us to pay more to upgrade our room for it, but we should have gotten what the web site said. We found old toe nail clippings and a basket full of so much dirt, dust, lint, and who knows what, showing that the room hadn't gotten an actual full cleaning in a very long time. I will be sending photos and videos taken of the aforementioned disgusting state of the room. We've stayed at cheap motels that are cleaner. So again for the third time in the night we had to talk to the front desk about issues with our stay. They moved us to another room across the hall. Super staff, however it worries me that they had to make sure it was a clean enough room before moving us. That wasn't even the final room move for us. They were able to get us into a 5th floor room with a tub for our second and final night for my partner to be able to bathe. Every night we stayed we could hear nearly everything our neighbors did though. Talking and laughing loudly, TVs blaring music, dogs barking and owners yelling at them. We never got a full night's rest and then we wake up to discover the toilet had been leaking water on the floor. The hotel had an indoor pool and hot tub, one of the main reasons we came here. The pool, while big, wasn't deep. It wasn't deeper than 4 ft all around. It's meant more for swimming laps. It was clean from what I noticed and while shallow we had a nice time. Then we moved on to the hot tub, which was a huge disappointment. The temperature was lukewarm at best. You could have much hotter baths at home and half of the jets were off. I went to turn the jets on and they blasted in cold water, which explained the mild temperature. Then we started to notice that the movement in the water wasn't all from the jets. There was hair, skin flakes, and even a bit of oils floating around as well. It was so gross. I looked at other online reviews of The Westin Bellevue hotel and noticed a pattern of people complaining about how gross the hot tub was, even months back. Everything about this hotel screams that whoever owns it is making you pay luxury prices for cheap and disgusting services. The towels and toilet paper are cheap and exactly what you'd find in a motel for $70 a night as opposed to the near $400 a night at the Westin. The only way this hotel will improve is by actually offering the luxury and down right basics of a hotel room of this cost, and by providing the cleaning staff the time and tools they need to clean a hotel of this size. Also, update the website to reflect what you're actually selling. Lying about what your customers will receive is completely unacceptable. *If you're questioning why a disabled person wouldn't book an accessibility suite over the others. The short answer is that disabilities are dynamic and there are only so many rooms suited for disabled people and have more support needs than others. read more

We were disappointed with the customer service as it did not meet our expectations. Upon arrival and unpacking, we found a rotting fast food bag in the closet with a terrible smell. They cleaned it and offered us free breakfast or 1000 points which is the equivalent of about $7 USD. We are Titanium Elite Marriot members so our breakfast is already included. Upon kindly letting them know that, they offered us $50 credit. I also had to call 2x (spoke to manager 1x) regarding breakfast and valet parking that was added incorrectly to our account and they never called back. Additionally, My mother in law found a condom by her night stand in a separate room. I would have expected and hoped for more of an attempt to make it right. I stayed here using a certificate from my Marriott card-- I live close enough that it was more of a staycation. Love the pool. Not many people using it during the day, and it has lane markers on the floor of the pool, so I could swim some practice laps. Their locker rooms are standard. I do like how close/easy it is to get to the mall. Was able to catch a late night movie and then basically crawl into bed afterwards. Room service (food) sadly ends at 10pm so I wasn't able to try that, but they were accommodating with late check out and everything. read more

I had to stay here for two days due to an emergency that was happening at home / remodeling. When I first checked in, my bed was made, but was dirty. I was upset about it, called and took over an hour for the person to come up and have the bed remade. It really made me second guess if the sheets were even clean or not. This location is walking distance to everything in Downtown Bellevue. Modern classic rooms that were clean and organized. I liked that there were plenty of glasses to drink out of. Close to home and a nice pool/spa. I was a road warrior for my entire career so lifetime status at Marriott is one of the compensations for being away from home all the time. Now with time to enjoy leisure travel/stays we like to get away once in a while here. Everything went smoothly - from check in to checking out. Not a fan of having to pay for parking in Bellevue but I guess that is part of the deal. Used a SNA (Suite Night Award) to get upgraded to a great room - Executive King Suite on a corner. Fantastic view of Seattle from that room. Staff were very accommodating and professional as well. Considerably fewer points than the W hotel so that is a plus too. The continental breakfast is pretty good. There's an upcharge for the full on omelette / breakfast meats and if you like fresh omelette / bacon / chicken sausage by all means do it. Not the fanciest hotel you can choose but a solid value. read more

I had a bit of a hard time checking in as the checkin clerk couldn't verify if a deposit was received from my corporate credit card- smh as it was pretty late on the night after a six hour flight. The room was clean but a bit dated with older fixtures. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Next day we had drinks at the in-house bar which was not very crowded and relatively quiet and the service was great. They were also kind enough to hold my luggage in storage while I attended some business meetings after checking out at noon the next day. Btw they don't have an airport shuttle like some other hotels. They also have a sky bridge that connects to a nearby mall with good restaurants. I will definitely consider staying here when I return. read more

I really love this hotel. It's a great place to stay with kids and teenagers plus it's a nice and clean hotel. I love that it's connected to the mall. They've got swimming pool and hot tub and room service. What more could you ask for. Nice pool, decent rooms and a great location. The staff is waaaaaaaaaaay below what you typically get for a luxury hotel of this type and price, so if you are the type looking for something closer to Four Seasons then go hit the Hyatt or W and avoid this place. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and a nice room and decent pool, then it will fit the bill. They didn't have any obnoxious COVID restrictions so we enjoyed it, but so did half of the city (during a heat wave) so the wait for the elevators was painful when they had a full house. read more

We paid over 500.00 dollars for one night to celebrate my daughter bday and swim. She likes swimming and this was the reason I reserved the room. We went to our room and sang bday to my daughter. At 8:55 pm we had two security officer and a woman basically "if we come back again is going to be a different conversation" It was not past 10?! I kid you not?! To keep the peace we decided to go home. Luckily my 15 yr old daughter was not hurt by the turn out and we finish her bday in good standing. But I cannot say anything about Westin! This location is in the heart of downtown Bellevue. Everything you need will be walking distance. However, they charge $32 for self-parking per day with in and out privilege or $42 for Valet. There are other parking options around the area that's a bit lower or even street parking. The hotel is clean and modern, quiet but yet inviting and the service is really why I gave it 5 stars. To be specific, Alex Niedziela; a manager who was on duty that went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly for us. He's really the type of manager you will need for any type of hospitality work. From his professionalism to his patience and the fact that he listens to all your concerns before giving you a couple of solutions. I couldn't be any happier, thank you Alex! read more

We checked in and were happy to hear that we have been given an upgraded room. However when we arrived at the room on the 18th floor we were very surprised at what an upgraded room looked like; "What is a normal room if this is upgraded??". The next impression was actually feeling grossed out by the headboard that looked like there were two oily head stains on it (behold photo). The sheets were rough and not premium quality. When we went to plug-in some electronic stuff there was a power strip under the desk. The room was small, bathroom even smaller with a child size tub, my boyfriend would only fit if he had been a contortionist in a half a cup of water. And do they make up for it in customer service? Well, while they promptly sent up a small refrigerator when we asked for one I also asked for a fork to be sent up. The response? "Oh that's a different section. Well we have plenty here at the front desk" (so feel free to come down and get one). For this price and with this kind of competition in the area this is not the kind of customer service I would've expected. This hotel is in dire need of being updated. We travel to the area quite frequently and normally stay at the Hyatt or the W. But we decided to change it up this time to try out the Westin. Extremely disappointing. For the price you pay per night you expect a top notch hotel. For a recent staycation the hotel had good points and not so great points. The staff are very nice and helpful. The indoor pool is nice and depending on the time of day can get crowded with lotsa kids big and small. The hotel does have a residential portion which is interesting as the residents themselves can be a little rude to guests as I am sure they are so tired of seeing tourists coming through daily. The rooms are dated and not the best in terms of cleanliness. The pillows are too soft and bed divots in the middle. Tye walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors coughing and sneezing. The internet is free if you are a Marriott member. There is no free breakfast however there are a ton of eatery's outside of the hotel. Many choices including a grocery store a few minutes away. I stayed here with my family the weekend before valentines for a little getaway. Everything was going great until we had an encounter with the (very arrogant) manager, Jeremiah P. We were just walking back to our room and he followed us telling us that our kids (3 and 4 year olds) were being too loud and inconsiderate of other guests. He came at us very aggressively. He also mentioned there was a noise complaint but we weren't even in the hotel almost the entire day. They were laughing, not yelling, laughing. Mind you it was between 9-9:30 so the curfew wasn't even in place yet. Jeremiah needs to be educated on better customer service. We've stayed at multiple Westin locations all over and this by far, has been the worst encounter we've had. It ruined our experience at this hotel. Hotel was good, room was nice, pool was fun for the kids but had an awful experience with room service. Ordered two hours before the kitchen closed and they continued to lose our order.. talked to three different staff people n all told me they were checking on it and it was on the way. Finally someone admitted they lost our order and that I could go down the street n get take out. Mind you I had two kids in pj's in my room so no ability to "run down the street" to a bar for food for them. Finally the manager got on n had someone go pick up fries for my kids and a crappy burger at the bar for me. They did comp a breakfast after I asked for it but just a crappy experience, especially for someone there with kids. One staff member said oh I can't go there, I've been on for almost 8 hours and it's time for me to go home, it's been a really long day. Ahh seriously? Come to my room and experience kids who swam for 5 hours and have been wait8ng for food for two hours because of your team! Grrr. No extra hotel points help kids. So I hope they learned from this as I know other staff members were solid.. but yeah they need to work on the room service situation. read more

The Westin Bellevue is situated in the heart of downtown Bellevue - across the street from the Bellevue Mall, and within short walking distance of multiple restaurants that span the spectrum of finger food to fancy. Had the occasion to spend a couple nights here in September, 2021. What a disappointment. Had a corner suite, several items like lamps that didn't work, drapes that didn't close, and so forth is what we dealt with upon our initial room entry. Let me at this point be clear, the employees we had contact with were simply the best- very polite, prompt, and basically working hard under poor management and their policies to treat guests with respect. A big shout out to Hunter for his assistance during our stay. It's fairly obviously that the executives that manage set some rather cheap-ass policies, then hide and let front line employees deal with the consequences. I decided to take my beautiful daughter, who has William's Syndrome, and has a pretty serious upcoming surgery this week, "camping" at the Bellevue Westin for her 25th birthday - YAY! I AM A GENIUS! Here is a shortlist of what I loved: The corner suite I booked was BEYOND BELIEF! Okay, yes, it is a suite, it is supposed to be pretty terrific but this? OH MY GOSH! The view was phenomenal! Oh! Hello, I-90 bridge, Space Needle, beautiful lake, downtown Bellevue, gorgeous mountain range, etc, etc!!! Now, shall we talk about the actual room? SPOTLESS! DELIGHTFUL! PERFECT! However, none of that holds a candle to their staff! WOW! It is hard to believe there is a worker shortage when you deal with the Westin. To a person, they treated us like we were royalty! I ordered to have a big balloon bouquet (seriously, it was bigger than I thought, Balloon Planet, fabulous, too, just saying) to arrive before we got there, without, I might add, speaking with the front desk ahead of time...Not only did they handle it, but they also made sure it was in the room, along with the chocolate-covered strawberries I ordered in THEIR OWN LITTLE REFRIGERATOR so they wouldn't get smushy! LOVE THAT! But even more...they were (to a person) SO kind to my daughter! They treated her with such kindness and respect...there are no words. She wasn't invisible, she wasn't treated as an invalid or an imbecilic (if you have an adult in your care with special needs, you will get this...if not, it doesn't apply to you) and yet they respected my requests as her legal guardian and mom. I love this about their staff so much! Okay, back to the other cool stuff...Thinking about ordering from Door Dash or Uber Eats while you are there? They made sure the orders were "dashed" up to us, even when I forgot to put my room number on the order - yes, they checked to make sure it was us, but seriously, they were INCREDIBLY accommodating! Updating review (previously 5 stars): I AM SO MAD! PLATINUM MEMBER here who has stayed at this exact hotel TWICE BEFORE (earliest less than 2 years ago) and before it was great. Our experience so far this time has been horrendous. Starting with nobody manning the front desks or valet when we arrived and taking a good 45 minutes to find anyone to check-in, then being assigned an OCCUPIED room (imagine walking in on a man in his underwear eating) the air conditioning on the floor obviously being screwed up, a horrendously hot, uncomfortable night with gross spots on the ceiling and maintenance not being able to fix the air we decided to ask to move rooms. We were offered a different room and while the air doesn't seem to be working very well in anywhere but the lobby (seriously it's cooler outside with the breeze I wish I could crack a window) it's also uncomfortably humid in other areas of the hotel. Anyways we start trying to move our things only to find out the hotel safe has broken on us and just like the previous night we can't get through on any line in the hotel, it's always either a busy signal or nobody answers so each time you need something you have to go down to the lobby and ask again. Only 1 request we'd made of 4 at that point had ever come to fruition so I won't bore with more details but it is now 2:51PM. We started trying to move rooms around 9:30AM. We've lost a good portion of our day to this and there hasn't been even one apology or attempt to make up for all the crap that has happened. read more

We just stayed this weekend in a king room at the Westin in Bellevue and our stay was excellent. Dylan at the front desk received us with a genuine welcoming smile. You can always tell the difference between a "forced smile" and a real one. We enjoyed the room service selections. I would prefer that they serve until midnight (they end at 10 pm). The room and bathroom were clean. The pricing was fair for the lodging. The Westin Bellevue is a great option because it connects with the "Bellevue Collection" with great restaurants options. We have stayed here before and we will continue in the future. read more

Start with Parking is a mess. Waited for the poor guy to move vehicles around so we could park on the side to check in. Idiots were stopping out on the street and just handing keys to him and walking away causing him to skip us over and over to clear the street. WTH? Check in is difficult with staff back behind giant plexiglass sheets which bounce all the noise in the lobby we couldn't hear or communicate! The social distancing thing should not be like emergency triage at this point It's been a year...install some speakers or something so we can hear and speak with you. We requested a high floor suite and were put on floor five. Um... how old is this place??? Black out curtains broken. Lime build up on shower heads. Open water pipe sticking out of wall with some type of glue still on it. Furniture with holes in it where something used to be mounted. Yuck. Street noise is really bad. Racing cars woke us up during the night. Possibly from being channeled up by other close buildings. Try not to stay on the Bellevue square side of the hotel. Self parking is $30 even with Titanium status. Marriott brands have gone down a lot during COVID but these problems seem to be from lack of maintenance and management not lack of customers. Washington State did no one any favors with the complete shutdowns. We needed to support these hotels where we could. I'm not convinced they will bounce back. I will be submitting a different review for the breakfast restaurant at the hotel which was Excellent. read more
