The food at the Marriott is quite good. The buffet is great and the room service is even better. However, we are getting a little wild charging $29 for fish and chips. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ding them a point for that. read more

We've become big fans of the Marriott properties on the east side of the water! The Seattle spots are consistently much more expensive and come with all the issues that plague Seattle. Here, we drove up, parked and got to our room, all without me having to worry about the family being harassed while waiting in the car. The rooms are nicely appointed as you'd expect, the check in process is nicely streamlined and the workout room and pool were both lovely! It's also located right downtown in Bellevue to getting to Bell square or any of the nearby restaurants was quick and easy. The pool isn't huge, but was fun and good for the kids. Bummer they no longer have a hot tub, but the pool is warm and good to hang in. This is a spot we'll be back to. read more

We recently stayed one night at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Bellevue and were delighted by both the facility and the service. If I could, I'd give it more like 4-1/2 stars because four doesn't seem quite fair. Located in the heart of downtown Bellevue, this hotel is the perfect place to park the car once, then walk to wherever you're going, whether that's to a business meeting, lunch, dinner, drinks, or entertainment. The central intersection of Bellevue Way and NE 8th Avenue is less than a half mile, on sidewalks all the way, with too many shops, stores, bars and restaurants to count! The property is very nice, with bright open spaces, a convivial bar, on-site restaurant, and probably the most extensive 24-hour pantry I have seen in my years of traveling! Everything from wine and beer to microwavable meals to snacks to satisfy the sweet tooth. Many common areas were decorated in a dark, rich pallette which gave off a very luxurious vibe, more like a boutique hotel than a midrange chain. But this was, after all, Bellevue. Our guest room was lovely and spacious. At 13 x 15 feet, our king room included the bed, couch and ottoman, workstation with a proper task chair, a place to open suitcases, a small fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. Off the short hall was a closet with an iron and board and a safe. Many 5th floor rooms also include a Juliette balcony so guests can get some fresh air and survey the street scene below. The bathroom was also fairly generous, with a nice Speakman showerhead that delivered good pressure for your morning wake-up shower. My only issue is that, like much of the industry, this property has shifted to offering bulk amenities - shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - instead of small individual bottles or bars. I understand the economics of that, but it still gives off the impression of a health club rather than an upscale hotel. Importantly, this property does not seem intent on maximizing what I call the "convenience premium": the higher prices that hotels charge for the convenience of not having to get in the car and/or go offsite for food and beverage. For example, our wine at the bar was $11 a glass; at other similar hotels elsewhere, it could easily have been $14 or more for the same wine. I believe that's because there are so many alternatives as close as next door that hotel management -- wisely -- doesn't want to risk driving guests elsewhere. Parking was also reasonable for an in-city hotel at $20 a night. As I noted earlier, service was very good. Check-in was accomplished smoothly by friendly, helpful front desk personnel; the bartender was quick and efficient; and some other minor issues were handled with a smile. Should we have another occasion to spend the night in Bellevue, we'll be heading right back to the Courtyard by Marriott. read more

There was a citywide electricity outage. We were very upset that there was not a generator that lit up the stairway and garage. This was very dangerous for elderly people making their way up the stairs and down the hall to our room. This was an OSHA violation. 1910.37 I will never feel safe in a Courtyard by Marriott again. Really impress! Not your typical Courtyard! They do have parking on the facility ($25 per night) it's a pretty upscale Courtyard, breakfast is $22 per person and do request for the higher floor! They have a very small fitness center and you can refill your water bottle here, if you take the water bottle from the room it's $4 per bottle, so I highly recommend you bring a reusable bottle with you! They also have 2 Tesla charging stations at the hotel (free of charge) but you have to request at the front desk! read more

I have been loyal to Marriott for over 30 years, but this hotel stay has me thinking that it is time to change brands. They charge a premium price for delivering horrible service! We checked in and were given instructions on where to park our car. When we got to the point of trying to open the parking gate with our card, it didn't work. I pressed the intercom button to ask for help. No answer, but the gate opened. The first night, we were the only ones in the restaurant and had to constantly physically go looking for our waitress. My fish and chips were from the frozen food section of the grocery store, and my wife's club sandwich was made with standard deli meat. The hotel charged a double premium price for both! At breakfast, they made it a point multiple times to tell us that the breakfast wasn't included in the room rate and even went so far as directing us to the Starbucks that shares the building. It was an Ok breakfast, but not worth what we paid. Upon return to the hotel for our second (and final) night, the power was out. Practically all emergency lighting failed initially, and by the end of the outage, there was no emergency lighting at all! The staff's solution was to distribute round glow sticks everywhere, including the stairs! If you accidentally landed on one of them with your foot, you were going for a ride! No consideration or common sense was exercised for the safety of the hotel guests at all! The front desk team was a joke during the entire stay. After the power came back on, I went to the bar for a beverage. A portly woman with a tattoo across her bosom on proud display informed me that they would not be opening the bar and that I could purchase beverages in the concession stand. Thinking that I would pay for it at the front desk, this IT professional quickly learned that an hour after the power was restored, the computer systems still weren't back online; seriously? During the entire stay, there was no wifi at the hotel, just a note under our door, saying "sorry about the lack of wifi". We paid a whole bunch of money to get a whole bunch of nothing other than a really bad experience from our hotel stay! read more

Stayed at this hotel for a wedding that was in the area. Check-In: The Front Desk Agent seemed just not happy to be there. I said hello, and she stood there staring like I had done something wrong. She talked in such a soft voice that it was hard to hear her, and it seemed like she did not care. Also, as a Gold Tier member, there was no acknowledgment or attempt to upgrade me upon check-in (at least HILTON HOTELS does a better job). I can tell you other rooms were available, but like I said, there was no offer to upgrade. Not to mention, I was NOT told about the incidental charge of $50 PER NIGHT, which would have been nice to know about. Room: The room was right next to the elevator, which was fine but not ideal. The TV was already on when I walked in, which creeped me out, and I thought someone was there. Looking in the room, it was nice, but the sheets were wrinkled (clearly, they did not change anything). The thermostat is a joke. As I tried to turn it colder, over the first 10 hours, it dropped maybe 2 degrees at best. Beware, Wi-Fi costs $4.95/day for "faster internet," which was a complete joke. Beware: Housekeeping is VERY LIMITED at this hotel, and I was told that Housekeeping would NOT be coming to my room since my stay was short... It should NOT matter how long or short my stay is. Pricing: While I understand I was on a group rate, I did a regular check on the hotel website, and staying there was cheaper than the group rate itself by almost $100 per night. Honestly, at the end of the day, go stay at a nearby Hilton or Hyatt hotel and save yourself from this place. read more

Great location and right across the street from my office. I recently went to Seattle for work and my company booked me at Courtyard Seattle. The room was comfortable and very clean. They provided 2 desks along with a sofa. Wi-Fi works automatically just by selecting it. Staff was extremely friendly. I stopped at the bar a few times for a beer. Bartender was friendly and quick. After midnight the main doors are closed and require a keycard to unlock. Definitely feel safe at this location! read more

After looking for suitable locations to stay at for our Seattle trip I found the Courtyard Marriott in the Bellevue side of town. After looking more into the surrounding area it was apparent that we were in a good neighborhood with plenty of food options surround us as well, which was a huge plus. The parking garage is a must because there is no where to really park around the hotel without a risk of being towed. The parking isn't too expensive and made me feel safe with my car being locked not only in the hotel parking gate but also seeing that the garage can only be accessed through a garage door with a key, so in essence double the protection. The room was very clean upon our arrival and although I wish the room was cleaned daily, I understand the COVID precautions set in place. Overall I am pleased with the price paid, and if looking for a place to stay I would stay here again. read more

I am very impressed with this hotel. It's close to the freeway and in the heart of shopping and food. They have a parking garage that you can use for $18 a night. I reccomend it be abuse there really isn't anywhere else to park nearby. The check in process was super quick and easy. The clerk was friendly and answered all of my questions. They do have a pretty ridiculous debit card policy though. I'm posting a photo of that. I got to choose what floor I wanted to be on which was nice. The room is clean and updated. The bed was super comfy, but according to the kids the pullout was not. They have a pool that's open from 6am-11pm and a 24 hour fitness center. The pool isn't huge but it is heated. The downside is that they don't have a hot tub. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't have complimentary breakfast. They do offer a buffet for $20+ or single entrees for different prices. I was very impressed with the location and amenities this hotel offers for the price point. Be careful with the additional charge from the hotel! And the front desk called the police when they were being asked abt additional charges and unable to provide reason. I was rudely treated and being called as " xxxxxx Asian male" to the police while trying to figure out a $50 that was not part of the booking. More details... Upon checking in, I was charged $50 and $20 which I wasn't aware of and was not included in the original reservation. I asked the front desk to explain what were the charges, she told me the $20 is incidental charge and the $50 it is part of the booking and it is what it is- I will be charged. I explained to her that on the reservation email and details there was no such charge and asked for reasons of the charge. She told me she didn't know it's just part of the system and let me to figure it out. While I was calling the Marriott customer service. She asked me to move away and do not stand in front of her. I refused to move until I have an explanation. She then ignored all my follow up questions and walked back to the room and rushing back on the call with her supervisor. After the call with super visor , I was till told there will be a $50 charge but she can not explain what the charge is. While Marriott customer service told me over the phone, There shouldn't be additional $50 charge. Then I requested to further explain the situation and asked her what's is her name and I would like to escalate this to super visor. She refused to tell me her name and she got more frustrated and told me I was in her space by standing in front of her. I was standing in front the front desk( where any customer should be able to stand), and told her I will not leave u til I got an explanation. She told me she could not handle this anymore and then she decided to call police. I told her I didn't think this would be something need to involve police, she still proceeded with the call and told the police I was "xxxxxx Asian male making a scene at hotel" . And more things she said I could not hear as she deliberately being quiet while calling the police. While waiting for the police, she went back in the room and came back and told me. This $50 will be refunded back to my card eventually. After the police arrived, I explained the situation. And they agreed this should not be something to bother the police. While now I was told that I'm not going to be charged, after spent more then an hour in the lobby waiting to check in and figure out what the $50 charge was. Worst customer experience and the front desk calls police when they could now answer question for suspicious charge. Stay away if you can! read more

Stayed here during our last time in Seattle. Found the room substandard with very low room and hall lighting which frankly set a lugubrious tone. They're obviously cutting electricity costs. I'm beyond dissapointed with the staff at this location the supposed "head of cleaning" Anna is untrustworthy& a total liar saying she saw me light a candle-- completely false!! And she actually physically opened my room door despite me having the latch on. The assistant manager Tim is joke. Trying to follow up thru him was worse than talking to wall with his condescending& dismissive attitude. Only normal/helpful person I came in contact with was a man at the front desk when I checked in initially. The booking was seamless and I was able to get floor preference. I was also able to check in prior to the regular time which was helpful because I needed a nap. The hotel is near great food, a nail salon, a juice spot, and coffee. My room was quiet, clean and spacious. They have decent cable TV options etc. My room did not come with a mini fridge-- not a biggie for me personally but if that's something you require on your stay ask ahead. The actual hotel food was delicious. The first day of the conference was bagel and fixings for breakfast and lunch was a fajita and nacho bar with churros (and dipping sauces) for dessert. The second day had muffins, veggie pasta, salad, beef with a mushroom sauce and grilled chicken with a pesto sauce. The dessert options looked like petite fours (I didn't indulge). They use illy coffee which rocks my world. I did not get the breakfast because Honor Coffee is a 90 second walk -- but my colleagues said they enjoyed the options. Also I appreciate the fact they have Diet Dr. Pepper (everyone has their quirks). The pints of ice cream and small "mini market" are around the corner behind the concierge desk. The staff is fantastic and super attentive. I would definitely stay here again! There is a lot to do in a small walking radius. It's about a 30 min drive from the airport so plan accordingly! read more

For the last two years, I've stayed at this hotel at least once a month. The employees provide exceptional service. Every time I walk through the sliding glass doors they welcome me like family. Last December, we stayed at a hotel in downtown Seattle that claimed to be 5 star. After extremely rude service, I advised the manager they should send their employees to the Courtyard in Bellevue to witness what 5 star represents. Thank you for being my second home. Other hotels in the area are better. Dirty towels that smelled bad, a used lotion that had been opened by someone else. Loud AC, loud fridge, poor water pressure, poor maid service - had to ask twice to have them clean the room each day and they still only came once and did not replace my towels. The worst thing is the floor was vibrating enough that I thought there were small earthquakes that woke me up every night of my stay. Paper thin walls, small rooms. The only redeeming quality is that the front desk staff were absolutely lovely, helpful and kind, but I will not stay here again when there are better options close by for a similar price. read more

This lovely Courtyard is located right in the heart of Downtown Bellevue and is definitely one of the better Courtyards I have stayed in. Upon our visit to Seattle we decided to stay in Bellevue and we always frequent Marriott hotels and this one was right in the middle of this lovely bustling city, had great rates for Family and Friends Discount and was close to the freeway. We arrived fairly early, well before the typical 4pm check-in and we were able to check-in first thing that morning with no problems. The front desk staff is very welcoming and nice, they greet you as soon as you walk through the door and answer any questions you may have about the hotel or the surrounding area. The lobby area is very beautiful and was very busy our entire stay, whether it was people just lounging around, printing tickets at the kiosk or just coming and going. The hotel has a restaurant inside Table 8 which is open for breakfast and dinner, there is also a Starbucks on the lower level of the hotel, a Japanese restaurant adjacent to the parking structure across the way as well as other amenities such as an indoor pool, gym and so on. The rooms are average size with the King bed rooms being equipped with the bed, pull out sofa, mini fridge and coffee maker. The bathrooms are very nice and spacious as is the shower. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are so soft, like sleeping on clouds. Depending which floor you are on you may have some really good views of the downtown area. Free WiFi is offered here which really came in handy during our trip because some hotels charge a fee for the use of the internet. Parking here is $18 a day but does allow you in and out privileges and the parking garage is very safe and secure so there is no need to worry about any damage to your car or anything. There is a lot to do in the area, directly across the street from the hotel is The Shops At The Bravern which a very upscale shopping center with many stores and restaurants. There are also a few other shopping centers and a mall close by and the hotel is conveniently located about 15 minutes away from Downtown Seattle as well as the Seattle/Tacoma International Airport. If you are vising Bellevue this is the perfect hotel to stay at, there's tons to do in the area and everything in Downtown is within walking distance. read more

Stayed at this hotel for a dance convention for my daughter. The hotel lobby was nice and clean. Upon arrival staff was very friendly. After entering our room we found clothing left on the floor from the previous person staying in the room. We contacted the front desk and they sent up the housekeeping manager, who was very nice and accommodating, she had the manager contact us but unfortunately they did not have another room to move us too. They assured us the room had been cleaned and somehow the clothing had been missed. The manager offered to comp breakfast for my daughter and myself and stated gluten free options were available for me. However,upon approaching a restaurant manager I was told none of their options were gluten free and therefore we could not dine at their location. I let the front desk know that evening, but they did not offer any other compensation. The night staff was very rude and non accommodating. They also would not allow my daughter to sit in the lobby in the evening because they said you must be 21 or over when the bar is open to sit in the lobby. Overall, the location was convenient for us however, I am not sure the convenience would be enough for us to stay at the hotel again. read more

This hotel has the rudest staff. The front desk doesn't know who is in charge or what they are charging for. I asked why the placed a $120 charge on my card. She she wasn't sure. I came later and asked a different front desk person. She said it was for incidentals. I asked upon check in. That person said it was a $20 only charge. I stayed two nights here for a wedding, and I thought the rates were reasonable. My room had a king size bed and a pull out couch. Everything was neat and clean upon arrival. I loved that there was a Starbucks on the ground level and other amenities within walking distance. It was great that the gym at the hotel was spacious and open 24 hours. 1 star off because the parking is kind of awful. Stayed here for an event this past weekend. Great location, comfy beds, loved the blackout shades, perfect walking distance to shops and food. Onsite restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. If it weren't for the parking charge issue (was told we'd get it comped due to our event and I had to firmly "convince" them otherwise even though others in our party did not pay, I'd give them 5 stars. The door locks to our room didn't work well and we had to use the key twice to get in and unlock it so it would shut properly. Aside from that, it was a great stay! read more

We came in late and left rather early, so I can't comment on most of the amenities other than the bed was really comfy, check-in went smoothly, the wi-fi worked seamlessly, and parking was taken care of, almost (after mentioning that the parking charge equated to highway robbery, the clerk cut the price in half).
