I've been going to Whale Spout car wash for years, but lately the #1 automatic car wash bay doesn't work correctly. There are three bays, and this one on the right hand side. I went through it today and used the Samuri Whale, ($11.00), but it couldn't go through all of its cycles, and it left my car covered in soap. I went to the office, and no one was there. I called the number on the door (913-422-4100) twice, and I've received no response. (Please call me, I don't want to post my phone number on this site) I had to use bay # 2. It work but the undercarriage spray was extremely weak. So now I've spent 22.00 $ on car washes! Help! read more

I've been in the area longer than this car wash. Over the years, it has gone from bad to piss poor....and using it again today, I'd give it a scam rating less than piss poor. But, shame on me. I used it a couple weeks ago. No cash, so used my debit card in the self wash. I was there probably 8-10 minutes....top side. Noticed I was charged a flat $10. Well...maybe the rates went up. Went today and used my debit again (cashless society, right?!). It was a very quick wash. Once around with the high pressure soap, a quick rinse. Didn't time myself, but closer to 5 minutes. Checked my charges....(drum roll here.....) yep, $10 again. WTF and WTH?! So Mr/Mrs. Owner....ya'll suck at scamming the long time residents here. Never again. Spread the word. And like some of the other reviews on here....good luck getting anyone to respond to a call. It's been like that for as long as I can remember. read more

This type of car wash took me a bit to get used to. "Touchless" didn't realize it wasn't going to take 100% of the dirt off. But even with that it was a good wash. read more

This is one of the closest manual car washes to me so I end up using it frequently. It is pretty straightforward and has never given me issues. The credit card swipe always works and I have never had any issues with the equipment. A huge bonus for this place is that the manual bays have foam guns! This is definitely a treat considering most places do not have this option. The bays are decent size as well. The exit road is not ideal for lowered cars so I don't love that. And I feel this one is more expensive then some of the other ones that I frequent. Overall, no bad experiences, just not perfect. read more

I used my debit card on the manual wash, because I didn't have any change. I looked at the timer and the charges it was just under $5.00 when I shut it off. Looked at my online banking and it charged me $15.00 even. Beware ! read more

I got stuck in the automatic bay for 20 minutes. I called the number listed on their website and it is disconnected. Other customers tried to lift up on the garage doors with no luck. Finally called the non emergency police number to have someone come help me then the door just randomly opened. A man who works there came and was 0 help. I asked for a another wash and he said, "You want a free wash?!" I said no! I want the wash I paid for and did not get. I just want to wash my car. Today all self serve wash bays in use. I pulled in out if the way of the automatic wash lanes. Obviously was waiting for the next available self serve bay. Another customer drives in around me and takes a bay that is now open. I confront the customer about this. He yells at me and gets in my face. I told him it should be obvious I was waiting. He continues to yell. Next the unidentified owner comes out. Initially he handles this well but later tells me I am wrong and then starts yelling. Lost me as a customer. Just ran my Jeep Wrangler at the Whale Spout on the most expensive wash *The Killer Whale*. Everything was going fine until the triple foam, made the pass and switched to spot free. But the sprayer got caught on my winch setup. No issues on any prior passes. No one was present in the office nor would answer the phone. I was stuck, so had to back out. My Jeep is filthy, not at all clean and covered in foam. Did not have time to wash off in regular bay as had to return to work. I would not recommend this place or the high dollar wash as it did not appear to clean at all. I am awaiting a phone call back from the office to see if we are able to get a refund or a new wash? read more

I drive completely out of my way to get my car washed here. I live 20 minutes away, but this car wash has the triple colored foam that other washes don't have. They have the vacuuming stations right outside the wash bays that cost $1 for 5-8 minutes of use. The problem is that on nice days this place can get crowded because it's that good. read more

Worst car wash ever. Spray heads are so misaligned it leaves racing stripes down the sides of your car.

The owner would rather clean out one of the stalls while a customer is waiting rather than let them ash their vehicle. I gave Whale Spout another chance but this was the last straw after poor customer service and faulty car wash. I'll drive into old Shawnee to wash my (5) cars from now on. read more

Waste of $7 for the drive through wash. Wouldn't take cards for self wash and the drive through was touch less and didn't do anything. Might as well just spray your car with your hose at home. Literally got no dirt off the car more than if it would have rained. read more
