Venue- The Wheeler House was an amazing venue for our wedding! We bought the all-day package, and it was so helpful being able to get into the bridal suite early for HMU and for final touches details with décor. The suite is so beautiful and spacious with multiple full-length mirrors, places to sit for multiple people and good window natural lighting! There was a separate room with a gorgeous huge full-length mirror for bridal shots and another room with tables for food! The outdoor ceremony spot was stunning, and the barn was just magical! As the venue is so close to the road you do hear a lot of traffic noise throughout the day and sirens are powerful driving by, but you sign up for this and know what to expect when booking! The staff was amazing! Laiken and her team set all of my details up and made sure the event went off without a hitch! They made sure I stayed as close to my timeline as possible and were so helpful with everything day of! Although The Wheeler House staff was amazing, I would always recommend having a wedding planner on your vendor list to just make sure every single detail goes off without a hitch as they are there for you and you alone! I cannot say enough nice things about how professional and helpful the venue and their staff were! I would highly recommend using them for your wedding venue! Cottages- The cottages were a convenient alternative to lodging elsewhere, from a distance and proximity from the main venue standpoint. In addition, they had ample room to accommodate our guests. Beds were comfortable but small. There were a few other things that could use improvement from my experience staying in the cottages: 1. Cottages need to be more air tight to keep the inside more comfortable Bugs entered freely - Bees stinging my uncle; spiders crawling above, earwigs throughout the room 2. Cottages had a raw scent; possibly due to age and mold 3. Cottages didn't appear sanitary 4. Doors didn't always lock - Could still push to open after initiating the locking mechanism if you don't lock it in the exact fashion it needs to be done. 5. Dishes/coffee pots were not clean and the dishwasher in one cottage leaked water (there was an old Eggo Waffle left in one of the toasters.) 6. Internet didnt work in the far cottage (no internet connection) 7. Pulling in and out of cottages was very dangerous with high speed traffic in both directions and blind spots to make the turn onto the road and the cottages and driveways are very difficult to see at night. Overall, not worth the amount paid to rent for the 2 day period. read more

From planning to execution, my coordinator Baylee was incredibly responsive & provided fantastic feedback regarding how to implement our ideas. I am the first to get married in my family so we had no idea where to start. Because of their attention to detail & fantastic communication skills, we felt very supported each step of the way. The Wheeler House has a backup plan for literally every scenario so we knew we were in good hands no matter what! The grounds are IMPECABLY maintained & photographs beautifully. We looked at several venues & this was the best bang for our buck by far. The best part about the pricing is SO MUCH IS INCLUDED if you read the packages in detail in comparison to other venues. Planning: The women who coordinate the wedding will invite you to a 60-day & 30-day meeting prior to your wedding. They are available via email or phone if you need to ask something ahead of time but they are on top of it. The team goes to every possible effort to give you the day of your dreams because they genuinely care. It makes all the difference! Grounds: Absolutely unreal! We had a massive 4 day storm the week of my wedding & the grounds looked beautiful on my wedding day. Vendor Suggestions: We used their caterer & DJ, which were both well received by our guests. The food was top notch & the DJ started the biggest and longest wedding dance party I have ever seen! It was truly a celebration & their vendor selection was key to creating the party we really wanted! Execution: Everything went off without a hitch! Their team is incredibly hands on & they keep all hands on deck for weddings, which is so helpful in case you need an extra set of hands (for example, it was a little windy after the storms that week & a vase fell over. They had it cleaned up in less than 2 minutes. I'm saying - they are ON IT!). You can't go wrong with this venue! The Wheeler House made my dream wedding come true! We just got married there this October and from the moment I finalized a date with them (which they book up QUICK) to the moment I walked down the aisle, they were 100% helpful, professional, friendly and on point! I worked mainly with Laiken throughout the process and then my day of coordinator, Emma, who was fantastic! I never knew how stressful planning a wedding would be, but it was worth every moment once the big day finally arrived. It was nice working with the preferred vendors that The Wheeler House uses, they all work together so well and it takes the stress out of planning. I live out of state so sadly I wasn't able to make it to one of their open houses, but every vendor I spoke to over the phone was very helpful and answered any questions that I had. You will not be disappointed if you choose The Wheeler House for your wedding day, it is an absolutely beautiful venue. The outdoor space for the ceremony is elegant and so pretty. The barn is gorgeous inside with a huge chandelier and fireplace. It's so amazing to see everything bare bones and then how it completely transforms once all the flowers, decor, food, people and music make everything come alive. The actual Wheeler House itself is the perfect backdrop for all the pictures, which really ties it all in. Our families also stayed in the cottages just down the road from the venue and it was the perfect touch! The cottages were so beautiful inside. Having our wedding at The Wheeler House made for such an amazing and stress-free day. We loved that The Wheeler House included a caterer, DJ, and cake--it truly felt like a one-stop shop. Having so many major vendors already included made the planning process much easier and less overwhelming. They also provide a list of preferred vendors for photography, florals, makeup, and transportation, which made choosing the remaining vendors simple and seamless. I booked one of their preferred vendors for florals, and it was amazing since they knew the space for floral decor and what would look best in the space, we also booked one of the preferred transportation vendors which was also convenient since they knew the space and where to go. The entire staff at The Wheeler House was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and consistently positive from the moment we booked through our wedding day. Having one location for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception made the day run so smoothly. We also loved having both indoor and outdoor options. We had a winter wedding, and while the southern weather allowed us to be outside, knowing we had a beautiful indoor backup option gave us so much peace of mind during planning incase it rained or was too cold. We also booked The Wheeler House cottages for our wedding weekend, which made getting ready and overnight accommodations extremely convenient. Having our family and bridal party together all weekend made the experience even more special. While The Wheeler House may initially seem more expensive, we absolutely got our money's worth. Because so much is included, we actually had less to plan and book on our own, which saved time, stress, and additional costs. The Wheeler House was such an incredible venue for my wedding. The venue is gorgeous, the Wheeler House team is lovely, their partnering vendors were great, and they simplified the overall wedding planning process making everything way less stressful. Other than the obvious beautiful visual aspect of The Wheeler House and the barn, I decided to go with TWH because of the wedding package offered and the venue adjacent cottages that are available to rent for the wedding party. They serve as almost a one-stop shop which simplifies the wedding planning process greatly. When you sign-up with TWH, you are booking your venue, caterer, cake, DJ, and day-of wedding coordinator. You can also rest easy knowing that TWH does not choose their vendors lightly, they are all incredible. Every vendor is very experienced, knowledgeable, helpful, and will make sure their products/services are perfect for you. Since the wedding, we have received many texts and have been told by multiple people how beautiful and stunning the wedding and TWH were, and how truly amazing the food was. Also, I am so grateful for my day-of coordinator, Chelsea Beal. She was unbelievably helpful, sweet, and a leading calming force. Chelsea was able to respectfully command and direct the entire wedding party without being overbearing. She remained a calming force as to not allow myself (the bride) or the groom to stress. The Wheeler House was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony, reception, and getting ready, and I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Spending the morning in such a beautiful, historic home made everything feel so special. The bridal suite was amazing--plenty of space for my bridesmaids and me to get ready together and enjoy those moments before the day began. One of my favorite memories was having a quiet moment on the private porch swing to write my vows. It gave me the chance to pause, reflect, and take everything in before walking down the aisle. Emma, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely incredible. She stayed in constant communication throughout the entire planning process, provided helpful checklists, and made sure I was always ahead on what needed to be done. She was so kind, cheerful, and easy to talk to, which made everything feel smooth and stress-free. On the wedding day, she truly brought everything together and made my dream wedding come to life. This venue makes it so easy to have a seamless and beautiful wedding day. Everything flows naturally, and the property itself is stunning. My husband and I toured so many wedding venues in the metro Atlanta area and we knew right after our tour at the Wheeler House that it would be a perfect fit for us! The Wheeler House is so charming - the barn, Victorian style house, and outdoor area are absolutely beautiful. Even more so, the Wheeler House staff are amazing! I was blessed to have Ashley as my wedding coordinator and she made sure all my ideas for my wedding day came to light! From managing all the vendors schedules, getting all the vendors set up, handling the wedding day chaos, putting last minute decor touches together, and even making sure my husband and I had our overnight bags in our getaway car, Ashley and her team were there to make sure everything went seamlessly. We truly had the most perfect wedding day, and I believe it is because of how well organized, helpful, and sweet all the Wheeler House staff were. Not only did we get so many compliments from our guests, but the venue also photographed so beautifully! Another great part about the Wheeler House is that it is more of an all-inclusive style wedding venue (cake, DJ, basic food package, etc.) were included in the cost. After touring a bunch of wedding venues, we felt that the cost was very reasonable, and the all-inclusive style really took some of the load off of our shoulders when it came to planning. We had our wedding at The Wheeler House in Ball Ground, GA on February 22, 2020 and were blown away by the overall experience. The venue was outstanding with provision of food, atmosphere, scenery, and staff hospitality. Laura, Ashley, and the rest of the staff were nothing but accommodating in preparation for our big day and during the celebration - we can't praise them enough. As a wedding venue we couldn't fault anything. The recommended catering (Events by Dezine) was outstanding! We chose a truly mouthwatering ensemble, complete with sirloin strips, hand mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and the bella signature salad; paired with Swedish meatballs and pimento cheese tart appetizers. The Wheeler House flawlessly assisted our decision on what to serve our guests; and it is safe to say our they were not disappointed - as no food was left behind. During our winter celebration - we had the choice to use the house for cocktail hour, but due to the size of our guest list and the chill of the February air, we opted to use the barn. Even though the cocktail hour and reception were held in the same building, The Wheeler House provided an exquisitely different ambiance for the two where our guests could enjoy drinks and each other's company with plenty of space and warmth. The moment I toured the venue, I called back almost immediately to secure the date! The venue is beautiful with the string lights and the bridal suite is perfect for getting ready, and it's affordable compared to venues I visited in Marietta & Atlanta. The wrap around porch, the arbor, and the barn all made for such beautiful pictures! The best part has to be the staff though. I had Laiken as a day of coordinator and she was the best!! She was thorough and assuring, and reliable from start to finish with the entire process. On the day of the wedding, Laiken made it all happen and worked well with my mother in law to set it up the way I wanted. She took every request seriously and I felt like I could breathe because I was in such good hands! Any time we had questions, everyone in the office was super responsive and they even helped me fix mistakes I made with the payments. The vendors through the venue were also INCREDIBLE. We are still receiving compliments about the DJ and the food. Everyone told me it's the best food they've had at a wedding before and it was just wonderful to know that I didn't have to search hard for it myself, but that it was just part of this amazing venue! The venue also holds multiple Open Houses where you get to do tastings and meet vendors for free, so we got to try all the food and visit the venue several times. Laura and The Wheeler House staff have been nothing short of amazing ever since my now husband and I went to tour it. They have every single detail covered and you really don't have to worry about anything. The day of our wedding Laura, our coordinator, was there helping set up all day. She knew every little thing I wanted (I had a very specific vision) and executed it all with grace and ease. Throughout the night she checked on us and made sure everything was taken care of so we could just focus on our night. She, and the entire Wheeler House staff are incredible and truly care about what you want and go above and beyond to make sure your wedding day goes smoothly! We have had so many guests compliment how beautiful and unique the venue is! Everyone loved and so did we. The food from Events By Dezine was incredible and we had so many guests compliment the food. We had an absolutely incredible experience with our wedding at this venue!! From the start, our day-of coordinator Kelle was absolutely amazing--she worked with us beginning 60 days out and brought such calm, thoughtful guidance to every part of the process. As someone who can be pretty indecisive, I really appreciated her helpful recommendations, attention to detail, and willingness to answer all of our (many!) questions. She was also so kind and accommodating with our last-minute changes. One of the biggest things we loved was that the venue was all-inclusive--it made planning so much easier knowing that the DJ, food, and cake were all taken care of and included. The venue itself is stunning and full of charm, with so many beautiful spots for photos, and the getting-ready area was spacious and comfortable. I have a severe ant and bee allergy, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure the property was clear of fire ants, which helped me feel safe and relaxed--something I've honestly never felt at an outdoor event before. We also rented the Wheeler House cottages for our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and out-of-town guests, and they were perfect--clean, comfortable, and incredibly convenient for starting the day early with hair and makeup. They put together super realistic payment plans as well and provide a comprehensive guide to getting you started with wedding planning. Since this is an all inclusive venue it is completely effortless to coordinate and get everything prepared. The vendors that work with TWH contact you and are sure to make your day everything you want it to be. The day-of coordinator that is included with the venue was probably the best thing we could have asked for. When my husband and I first visited The Wheeler House, we knew that was the place we wanted to start our forever together. The venue is absolutely stunning and provides a beautiful, intimate setting for a wedding. Best part - the staff at TWH are top notch! Our wedding coordinator, Laiken, was fantastic and such a joy to work with! She helped us every step of the way through the planning process and even on the big day itself. I cannot recommend their all-inclusive wedding packages (DJ + Cake + Catering) as well as their recommended vendors (Florist + Photographer + Videographer) enough. We were so impressed by each and every one of the vendors who made the planning process seamless, and our wedding day absolutely perfect. True professionals in all aspects! The Wheeler House exceeded every expectation my wife had for our wedding. The first time she saw this venue was 6 years ago. From the moment she toured the grounds, I imagined my wedding there. Ashley was fabulous in walking us through every step. The Wheeler House made planning stress-free with their preferred vendors. When we had trouble finding a vendor, Ashley was there to help. Getting married in the 2020 pandemic brought more questions than usual, and Ashley walked us through every step. She was accommodating to the constant change of chairs being moved around because guests were backing out. The day of the wedding flowed perfectly. We were lucky enough to have Ashley, but also we had the trainees Ashley and Bailey. Every second of our wedding day was about us and not about the minor details that were happening around. The staff took care of everything and our guests were amazed at how hard the staff worked and how every detail was perfectly considered. The Wheeler House was a fairy-tale venue for my son's wedding. The home was the backdrop of the most beautiful photographs and provided the old-time Southern country wedding my son's bride had hoped for. Leading up to the wedding, our coordinator Laura was very attentive. I can't say enough about how amazing Laura is! She was a delight to work with and is an absolute detailed-oriented professional. She thought of every detail. She put our minds at ease and she delivered the day of our event. I had many guests comment on how smoothly the event ran and how courteous everyone at The Wheeler House was. The staff on site the day of my son's wedding were so helpful and accommodating. The wedding was on a day of record-breaking heat here in Georgia but the temperature in the barn was perfect even though it was scorching outside. Our guests were allowed access to the main floor of the beautiful historic home before the ceremony so they wouldn't get overheated outside.
