The Wheeler House is one awesome Venue to have a Wedding/Reception. They provide inside or outside wedding service, inside and or outside reception and have a wonderful restored house as an area for the bride to get ready, which also makes for beautiful wedding pictures. I would like to thank the Wheeler House for putting on a perfect evening of Wedding and Reception. And we would like to personally thank Amberly! She is TRULY AMAZING!. She worked with us all the way through the entire process from beginning to end. She saw to every little detail and made sure everything was taken care of. She definitely has a talent for Wedding Planning! I think it might be time to put her picture and bio on your web site. We all were very impressed at how she handeled everything. Thank you again for making it all come together for our daughters and Son-in-laws (Brown/Tippins) wedding day (10/21/17)

Worked with The Wheeler House throughout my short 3 month planning period, and while I wouldn't recommend trying to plan a wedding that quick, I would recommend getting married at The Wheeler House!! Every bit of the planning process was made smooth and easy with Ashley's help. And I could type a novel about how incredible our wedding day was. From renting the cottages (highly recommend) to the sparkler send off and every detail in between, our hearts were overjoyed! I am so appreciative of this place for making my dream wedding day a reality.

I got married at the Wheeler House and it was the most perfect day of my life. The place itself is beautiful and the staff is absolutely incredible. They make everything stress free & keep things so organized. The only thing my husband was sad about is that they made him throw away his beer bong at the reception! Haha. We had such a great time & it was quite the party!

Ashley and Brittany helped me from the first month of engagement to wedding day! 1 month from the wedding my dog had to be hospitalized for a week and needed surgery. Ashley called me to check in consistently and they truly care about their brides and families. I visited 7 venues and this was was THE ONE. It was about the people for me and being a Covid bride the whole wedding planning experience really keeps you grounded of what truly matters, and for me people are what matter most. And let me tell you, after all the venues I visited there are no better people and packages like the ones at the Wheeler house! You don't have to worry or stress about sifting through cake vendors and hand picking a familiar DJ or looking through hundreds of catering vendors. It's all in house, it's all a package. The cake was absolutely delicious, we got the butter vanilla with Jack Daniels infused filling. Andrew, our DJ, did a wonderful job! Last but not least, the food... I've never had so many compliments on a meal before!! Our food was a five star steak amazing mashed potatoes, amazing sides, and hors d'oeuvres! Our rehearsal dinner didn't even get half the compliments on the food and I thought hand picking our food for the rehearsal dinner was a safe choice. Events by design blew everyone out of the water. There's no comparison and spending all that time looking for a caterer, the Wheeler house has an amazing package with their three vendors and I wouldn't want them to change that whatsoever! They are owned by a beautiful couple active in the community with an amazing story behind the venue and barn. When people ask where I'm getting married it is my favorite thing to have a story behind how the Wheeler house was originated and how the barn was built. It's more than just a building it has so much more meaning behind it. It's a story you can share for the rest of your life when you start your new family at this venue.

My favorite part of the gardens is the Japanese garden with its countless deep red Japanese maples, reflecting pools, shaded benches for contemplating the gardens' beauty. It's a beautiful place to take a stroll and have lunch in the shaded outdoor dining area next to the sandwich shed. Sandwiches are delicious, prepared by the fabulous Home Restaurant in the area. Make a day of it! Bring your book, have some lunch, and walk the gardens for a peaceful day out in nature.

With weak or no cellular signal or Wi-Fi available within the gardens, visitors can pay full attention on admiring the beauty of nature. The gardens occupies total of 376 acres, featuring over 250 acres of landscaped gardens divided into several distinct sections: the Japanese Gardens, the Monet Waterlily Gardens, the Daffodil Gardens, and the Manor Gardens. The Japanese Gardens occupy a central position within the estate, covering 40 acres and featuring streams, ponds, miniature islands, small bridges, and Japanese maples. As one strolls through this section, one can deeply contemplate the core tenets of Japanese aesthetics: *Mono no aware* (物の哀れ the pathos of things), *Wabi-sabi* (侘寂 Wabi-austere beauty and sabi -rustic patina or beauty in aging), and *Yūgen* (幽玄 profound and mysterious grace and subtleness rather than obvious beauty. mystery). *Mono no aware* is certainly palpable here; the seasonal colors are vivid, yet most of the tulips have already faded. However, visitors do not see the withered blooms, as they are swiftly cleared away. This practice is, in fact, an authentic element of Japanese aesthetics--one that does not seek to deliberately pander to visitors. After all, imperfection and impermanence inevitably evoke a sense of melancholy, which lies at the very heart of Japanese aesthetic philosophy. As for *Wabi-sabi* and *Yūgen*, they are subtly woven into every detail of the landscape, inseparable from the whole. I could sense the garden's inherent simplicity and minimalism--its use of "negative space" and evocative atmosphere--such as the circular stone steps leading into the lake, only to come to an abrupt stop. Is it perhaps an example of the essence of sudden enlightenment found in Buddhist philosophy? Throughout the gardens, various Japanese-style shrines and stone lanterns are scattered everywhere, exuding that distinct aura of ethereal elegance and profound tranquility characteristic of traditional Japanese gardens. The floral plantings are meticulously designed to rotate with the changing seasons: spring brings a display of tulips and daffodils; summer features water lilies--specifically in the "Monet Water Lily Garden," which boasts 140 varieties of lilies and a replica of Monet's bridge; and autumn offers a vibrant tapestry of colorful foliage alongside sweeping fields of Sulfur Cosmos wildflowers. I visited the Butchart Gardens in Victoria over 30 years ago--a truly stunning garden that, at the time, was awash with tulips. In terms of sheer size, Gibbs Gardens is more than six times larger than Butchart Gardens.

They were kind, professional, and always kept communication open, which gave my daughter such peace of mind during planning. On the wedding day itself, they took care of absolutely everything so we could just soak in every moment without a single worry. They listened to what my daughter wanted and brought her vision to life in the most thoughtful way. The venue itself is breathtaking--the covered outdoor chapel was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, the reception hall was stunning, the bridal and groom's suites were spacious and comfortable, and the lobby and courtyard made cocktail hour so fun and inviting.
