The Grande - The Looking Glass room

It's beautiful but doesn't have a round table which was what worked best for our event. I booked the Duchess of Bedford for my 17 year old daughter's birthday. She and 5 of her friends were guided to the Venetian and since we had a cancellation due to illness, I enjoyed a solo high tea in the Buckingham across the hall. The Grande has an extensive tea menu from black teas to herbal to rooibos. They light a delightful warmer at your table to keep your tea heated. The soup and salad came first. It was all absolutely delicious. Fresh pear adorned the mixed fields greens and the tomato soup had a dash of creme fraiche. Even the teens raved about them! The tower of finger sandwiches and desserts was also thoughtfully curated and delicious. The egg salad, pimento cheese and scones were so fresh! All of it was! The girls were able to each have their own tea pot and treats. In the Looking Glass room, they had a backdrop with props as well. It really was so lovely. Don't think about it- just go!

From the start, they…read moremade the planning process feel so smooth and enjoyable, and our wedding day was absolutely beautiful - even with cold and rainy weather, they still made everything feel warm, seamless, and so special. Kelle, our day-of coordinator, was incredible. She handled every detail with so much grace and care - even when little things came up, she took care of everything so we could stay fully present and enjoy the day together. That meant so much to us. Our ceremony and celebration felt so meaningful, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. We are beyond grateful for The Wheeler House and the role they played in such a special day in our lives. We would choose them again in a heartbeat.

The venue is unbelievably charming, and we fell in love with it on our first visit. The team makes wedding planning so easy with the all inclusive model, and it took so much stress off of us during our engagement. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, and made our wedding day run absolutely seamlessly. Our coordinator, Ashley, was an absolute lifesaver. She helped bustle my dress when no one else could figure out how to, brought my husband and I drinks and appetizers during our family pictures, and kept us from running behind schedule all night. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and we have the entire Wheeler House team to thank for that. If we could go back and do it again, we would choose them every time!

    Rock Barn

It's one of six places in Cherokee county listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's next to the Canton Elementary School and Cherokee High School. There is a Bruster's Ice Cream nearby. From the outside it's got this modern industrial rustic cool vibe to it....now don't take this the wrong way but as a Walking Dead fan... the entire time I was here I felt like Darrell in that scene where he first discovers Hershel and his family have been keeping "walkers" inside the barn on the property.... So now that I've put visuals in your head of zombies...lets talk about this place as an event venue....first off the place can be rented for events, weddings and sorts. You do have to be a member of The Cherokee Historical Society and their membership is about $25.00 for an individual...which I'm all for because these guys really work hard to promote and preserve buildings of the past. The rental fees are on their website but it looks very reasonable. From $300 to $1200 depending on what day you want to rent it... Even if you don't rent it personally I think it's a cool looking barn and not a bad place for a photo opt....Walking Dead style....

I know 3 who have this location reserved with deposits for their upcoming weddings and they all have the same issue. No response to important questions or requests. Something as simple as providing the contract and receipt of down payment for which the bride was told she would receive "immediately". That was more than 2 weeks ago. Beware, if you want a no stress venue, this may not be it. The complete lack of communication will undoubtedly cause issue's for your planning and a ton of unecessary stress.
