My family came in today to try and find my mom a wig who is suffering from cancer and this was our first time at a wig shop and once we entered was rudely told" what are you doing here" "I'm with a client" "you need a appointment to be here" and understandable just feel like they could have been nice about it not saying "what are you doing here" maybe train your workers on how to treat random walks better! I had come here on Black Friday with my parents. We came to the store roughly at 3.15pm. We look at the door, and the sign is flipped to closed. We go on our way and look for the next wig shop to hit. As we're about to leave, we hear the owner in the store yell "I'm still open!!". We walk in and immediately there's a bad vibe. The lady in there starts making snark comments back at me when I'm giving feedback to my Mom about how each wig is. I could tell she was very sales focused. My Mom finally decided on a wig. After thrashing the competitors the entire time, and trying to justify why her wigs cost so much, we were ready to buy. The price didn't make sense and I work in sales, you always know when someone talks about how bad the competitors are, they are trying to overcompensate for something. The way she treated me, just because I wasn't the one buying, was very poorly and I ultimately told my Mom we needed to go. Safe to say, good quality wigs, price is a little steep, but without good customer service you will never run a successful business. If you're on the fence about which wig shop to go to, I recommend going to King's Wigs and Beauty Supply, the exact competitor she bashed the entire time. read more

I've been to three other wig stores in the Sacramento area and none come close to The Wig Shoppe. As others have mentioned, Ingrid is fabulous!!! She's kind, engaging, knowledgable and very adept at helping you find the right wig for your facial shape and your coloring. I took my sister who's beginning chemo next week and wanted to be prepared for the changes in her appearance. Ingrid helped her select two wigs and several head scarves. The wigs are gorgeous and so flattering. The head scarves are perfect for lounging at home or taking the dog on a quick trip to the park. The shop is clean, well organized and very well stocked. I've been looking online for hair pieces or wigs to cover the ugly thinning hair on my skull. Since I had never worn a wig before, I watched a lot of videos online to find out how they worked? Finally, I decided to shop at a real store to get professional guidance. Ingrid, the shop owner, told me that hair piece would not work for me because the hair on my skull was too thin and fine and would not hold the clips of the hair piece, I understood her explanation (I almost bought one online, but luckily I didn't) Ingrid recommended some wigs without clips (I don't know if all the wigs in her shop don't have clips) and the wigs I tried on were well styled, natural looking, and didn't need to be trimmed, unless I want to trim it to my liking. All the wigs I tried on fit my large head well (my cap size is 24.5 inches) and whenever I tried on different styles Ingrid gave her impressions, but she always stressed the importance of making my own decisions. I finally decided to get a pixie style wig (see photo - Ingrid and I) and Ingrid ordered a dark -brown color on my request. The new wig will arrive in about two weeks and I will post another photo here showing how I look in the dark- brown wig. I am sure I will look much younger than my actual age of 76. Ingrid, thank you for your patience, good customer service and professional help! She wouldn't take my money, and just sell me a wig, because she believes in doing things the right way. I bought some head scarves from her instead. She's a wonderful and kind lady, with a funny sense of humor. She has a great selection of different wig styles and colors, and a good selection of head scarves, hats, and beanies. Hello...my name is Melissa. I am a newbie. I have medical conditions that have caused a lot of thinning on the too. I went to a wig shop in Citrus Heights and the lady that worked there was so rude. She didn't take the time to answer my questions but I didn't give up on my journey. I looked for wig shops on the internet and found The Wig Shoppe. This wonderful lady with a charming accent opened the door and greeted me. She was so nice. I told her my background and what I was looking for in a wig. She listened. I did come to her shop prepared this time. I researched different wigs and different caps. I also knew what to expect price wise. Considering how long and meticulous it takes to hand sew those strands of hair, the price was more than fair. I am on Social security and don't work so I am on a budget but I also want quality. Miss Ingrid made me feel super comfortable and by the time I left I walked out with I didn't know was the best fit for me. It is because the care and concern for the customer. Absolutely HORRID experience. The woman(owner)that I dreadfully had to share my sudden hair loss concern with was by far the most heartless uncompassionate person... especially during such a stomach turning time I'm experiencing by loosing hand fulls of my beautiful long blonde hair a day.
