on Sunday May 1st around pm because the long haired brunette lady bartender had an issue with serving ladies , each time one of our lady chapter members went up order a drink we all were purposely ignored and served all the men first including men that approach the bar after we had been standing there. Also when I spoke to a man who was sitting at the bar he said that is why he was up there because she ignores all the women and he needed to get a drink for his lady. This is messed up because you give me good service and you will get good tips but the man at the bar gave her nothing which is what she deserves. I however did give 2 dollars that she did not deserve. This is bad for business might want to consider hiring a more pleasant bartender who don't discriminate women. When our chapter rolls in, there are a lot of us. As there were only 14 of us this time and We spend a lot of money. Not a wise choice to do this to us. We enjoyed a good time here for Thursday night karaoke! I was particularly impressed with the friendly people, a few of them even made a point to come over and introduce themselves to us... obvious newcomers. Karaoke is with Charlie, who is a nice KJ and well organized. Expect new singers to be merged into the existing list, as well as some filler (dance) songs. Be sure to let him know if you want to sing again. The dude before me got dropped from the list, even though he never left. (Don't worry, he still got to sing again.) Love this dive bar...!! Since moving to the area from the the Oakland Montclair area...., we were trying to find a place that was open late and offered some good people, great bartenders and a fun place to hang out. The Wild Idol Saloon, hits on all three areas.... and some. On Thursday nights, they have karaoke from 8:30 til 12:30. The place is usually packed with friendly locals, who love to sing karaoke. The KAROKE DJ is a guy named "CHARLIE ". DJ CHARLIE, also is a good singer and harmonica player. In between, the KARAOKE singers, DJ CHARLIE KEEPS THE PLACE JUMPING WITH THE LATEST TOP 40 AND R&B DANCING TUNES. The two bartenders, DEBBIE & RACHEL, are the best. They keep the drinks coming and you never have to wait long for a refill. On THURSDAY NIGHTS , their is also some type of free food on the table and you can pig out, until it is all gone. On FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, they have some great live music. The Blues bands that are booked , have all been really good. Everyone is always extremely friendly and it has became our favorite hangout, especially on Thursday karaoke nights. The one change I would love to see, is that they change the karaoke times from 9pm to 1am. The 8:30 start time for karaoke is early, for the people who have to commute. The traffic can be pretty bad coming in on highway 4 from work, especially if you work out of the area. I have met some karaoke folks who drive down from SACRAMENTO, STOCKTON, and MODESTO, and they all say that the traffic getting to BRYON can be a challenge. I've been here a few times now and usually have a pretty good time. The Desert Moon Band was playing this past Friday and I went for my 24th birthday with some friends. The band was great! The bartender was Nicki, who was adorable, super sweet and her drinks were on point! Prices were decent. There was another bartender working, didn't get her name, that was not so great. Overall it was a lot of fun. Lot of dancing, and a good crowd. Seemed to be a lot of different kind of people, which was great. Its kind of in the middle of nowhere, otherwise I'd probably come here most often. read more

This couldn't be a better place to hold an after funeral party for a dearly departed friend. The friend loved motorcycles and hanging out with family. We all came down to enjoy some bbq, some drinks, music and a beautiful day to remember her. I was incredibly impressed by the location. We had out door seating and grass area to meet and mingle. There was room for the caterer to set up tables and we all lined up to get some bbq. The drinks are stiff and not to expensive. All of the bartenders were very friendly. Bring your cash but they do have an atm for your convenience. We were here for a after funeral reception but I would have any type of party here. I think you could even throw a baby shower here if you felt so inclined. One of the better event spaces Ive had the pleasure of enjoying. read more

Giving this place one star is certainly a compliment! It's no wonder places like this go out of business so often, I'm telling you the staff here is unskilled and rude. Yes, they have the ability to hand you a Bud - but they couldn't make a simple Kettle One and tonic without help from the customer. All of that aside..... Giving good customer service really does not cost anything extra. Take your business to someplace that welcomes customers and treats them like a great customer rather than a person who just wants a watered down vodka and a cold shoulder from the bartender. Maybe the next owner of this place will care a bit more about manners, customer care and quality service. Moving on! read more

The bartender with glasses charged me $3.50 for each pickle back I used as my chaser. Another bartender heard me complaining about it and said "wait what? No we don't charge for that" and laughed and proceeded to grab the bartender who charged me for chaser. He asked him why he did that and the bartender said "yeah we charge for pickle back." I hve never been charged for a chaser in my entire life. I will not be going back. Also since he charged me for my chaser ...why the heck would he throw it away before I finished any of them?! I like bars with character and that have open space within. This is a nice large bar that hardly ever feels crowded, even on the busiest nights. Good prices on drinks, and music on some nights. I also like the fact that you can sit out back, with even more space. Its also easy to find parking. I guess I just appreciate these details since I lived in SF so awhile and so many bars there are too small, crowded with standing room only, and over priced with no parking anywhere. Such a fun little bar. Thursday (karaoke with Eddie Tracey) is the best night to go. They have karaoke on Wednesday too, but with a different dj who definitely isn't as awesome. I find the stripper pole in the middle of the stage awesome. The first night my friends and I went to this bar, there was a one-legged man with a baby raccoon on his shoulder. Last night, there were two horses with people riding them out front. Redneck! haha. But still fun. Their drinks are reasonably priced, but not very good. Some of their bartenders suck. What a great roadside bar! Live music outside and a DJ spinning dance music inside. The happy hour drink prices are very good and there's free pool on Tuesday. I have been driving by this gold mine of fun for many years and some friends of mine dragged me out of the house the night before Easter to check out the band. It was all good! The best part of the trip was the huge platter of BBQ ribs I picked up on the way out. This is my new favorite bar, and I live over an hour away. The bartenders are *not bitches, they have IPA on tap, the DJs will take a pretty girl's music request, and they have a *spinning pole. I'm sold. They also have a roomy dance floor, live music, karaoke, pools tables, TVs, and I'm pretty sure I saw a few dart boards. Fun bar with varying array of clientele. Mostly country folk, but money comes through too. There's a stage which often accommodates a DJ, karaoke, or live band on weekends. First thing you notice is a brass pole on the stage, very classy. Good size dance floor with a pool table off to the side. There is a HUGE patio area, big enough to land your crop duster. the shots kept coming from every direction, the music was playing (although the band was a bit creepy looking.. eek) and the dance floor was just the right size for our group, but more than 20 ppl on the dance floor may be too much for this little place. it was a fun environment, but in my opinion you would have to be a local to hate it, as i could see how the scene could get old way too fast. If I could give less than one star I would. I've been going here for several years and have spent a ton of money here. Tonight I used the ATM machine and the money never dispensed. The owner refused to come out and talk to me even after the bartender told me this happens all the time. She questioned the bartender if she had seen me take the money out, the bartender said she was working and didn't see. I literally had to pull up my bank account on my phone and send it back with the bartender to show the transaction went through with no money dispensed. THE OWNER REFUSED TO COME OUT. What kind of business owner refuses to come out and speak to a customer that spends their hard earned money in their establishment? I'll be checking my account Monday to make sure the funds actually came out and then going back there to see if the owner will come out of hiding to talk to a no longer loyal customer. Even the employees talked bad about the owner, what a horrible place. read more

My favorite thing about this place is all the different types of people there. I really love that when we parked, there were 2 horses tied up outside.. The cowboys kept checking on them. It's a interesting place. Everyone was friendly. I remembered Kelly (Bartender) from when she worked at Chili's and Cap's. She was friendly and nice.
