Old school proper theater vibes with a nice updated decor. Venue - older type of seating but it's a nice vibe - intimate venue so pretty much every seat is pretty good Food -there is room for growth here. The selection was just okay 2.5/5. Nachos were simply chips and cheese. Other items just seemed standard. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. Drinks -They do serve drinks and alcoholic beverages (see picture of the menu) Service -All of the staff were friendly! Overall a nice cozy theater! Recommended

Honestly such a pretty concert venue. Parking was simple & so close by. It was also pretty quick to get inside. I love the little marquee sign they had for photos and inside the main room itself, it was such a vibe. It was my first time coming here for a show & I really enjoyed it. It is a bit narrow to walk through the seats but nothing too bad. I came him for LA night 1 for Hayley Williams with my fiancé and we had the best time. I love my kween!!

Okay, this venue was EVERYTHING!!!!! I was lucky enough to score tickets to Lady Gaga's MAYHEM: REQUIEM. Since it was my first time at The Wiltern, I truly didn't know what to expect but WOW. It completely exceeded every expectation!!! The Wiltern has such a stunning old Hollywood vibe that instantly made the experience feel special and iconic. The architecture alone is breathtaking, like are you kidding me?!!! The event I attended was a live taping with a phone-free policy, so no photos or video recordings were allowed; but honestly? That made the night even more magical. Being fully present, soaking in the moment with my friend and connecting with all the amazing Little Monsters in the pit was unforgettable. Everything about this night felt special, from the energy of the crowd to the atmosphere of the venue. 10/10 location and 100000000000/10 on the experience. I can't wait to come back!

I have lived all my life down the street from the Wiltern and have missed many opportunities with bands I knew or wanted to see play here. I finally came here because my friend came up on some free tickets from a friend for a band I have never heard of. I was happy to finally walk inside and see the architecture, the old school décor and how the main stage looked like. We sat on the upper balcony and we could still see and enjoy ourselves thoroughly. I loved the upper lounge area. A good place to hang out and drink with friends. There are about three places to get a drinks up there. I loved just seeing everything inside the venue. If you like a band that is playing here, don't miss out and just watch them here!

A lovely venue with plenty of history behind it, but also lacking in several ways - especially when it comes to entry. Yes, I know that there's only so much that can be done with such a historic venue when it comes to capacity and its entry procedures...but I just honestly find it SO ridiculous. The line always wraps ALL the way around the block and it becomes such a mess. Once inside, the venue itself is very lovely and I love the vibes within. Everything DOES feel a bit tight and cramped, but I suppose that's the trade-off for being in a historic building. Nevertheless, I enjoy the set-up & it's relatively easy to find good vantage points for viewing a show from general admission. There's a few food items such as popcorn in concessions - I rarely get anything other than perhaps a beer or cocktail when attending a show, however. Overall, a solid historic venue that is worth attending for a show you're interested in.

First time at the wiltern for book tour event for Kamala Harris. I'm not the type of person to frequent Ktown because the parking and traffic is overwhelming, but this location has no parking and has random unsecured lots with an uncharged rate to park. Once we approached the venue there were signs posted about no bags, however it was never frequently mentioned. My friend had a clear bag to adhere to clear bag policy but they told her it was still large and needed to pay a fee to check the bag or walk back to her car. Once inside, the venue was beautiful and the event was well organized. Staff didn't really welcome people but they weren't rude. Cocktails were strong and delicious but the seats are oddly uncomfortable. There is no leg room and the seats are so close you can't even comfortably enjoy your beverage in your seat. Because the cup holders aren't adjustable, if you're over 5'7, your knees will be pressing into them. If you can't get floor seating, I wouldn't bother going to this venue. Now that I have been, I won't be coming back for any concerts.

Parking structure behind the theater was charging $40. The lot a block away was charging $10. There was metered street parking if you're lucky. Our ticketed time was 7pm. We started lining up at 6pm on Wilshire Blvd. There were people selling hot dogs. They don't let people in before the ticketed time. We got an hour to roam around and purchase merchandise before the show started at 8pm. Place was dated, but clean. It was a small venue and got crowded quickly. There was a bar on every floor. There was a good amount of staff. The seats were old and small, but cushioned. Didn't like that other patrons were vaping and talking during the show. It was hard to enjoy the show when there were so many distractions. Really wanted to enjoy the show, especially since we paid almost $100 for the show and $40 to park.e

Not a fan of how GA works as it's literally just glorified pit. Security squishes so much people into one area and it feels like a fire hazard. I've been coming to multiple shows and the only time it didn't feel as crowded was when a show wasn't oversold. Venue overall is nice with cool decor. I do however like the food and drinks offered at the main entrance as a first option when entering the venue.

First time here with friends. We were able to get tickets to see Phil Wickam for his Christmas Special w/friends. The concert featured Taya, Chandler Moore, and Judah Smith. It was a very long night, since it was going to be recorded for a Samsung TV special. We were in line at 5:30 and got out little after 10pm. We all enjoyed it and it was a very fun, joyous event. This venue has been around for a very long time. I am not an LA native but have heard about the concerts taking place here. Legendary artists and groups. The parking was very expensive but convenient and located one block up on Western.

The Wiltern is one of the staples of LA's music scene. I have seen many shows here, ranging from Dark Star Orchestra to Sheng Wang's comedy tour, and each visit feels truly special. The architecture of this historic theater is stunning, and the sight lines and sound are quite good no matter where you are in the venue. The staff here are always very professional--I have never had a bad experience during the many times I have been here. There are multiple lounge/hang areas throughout the venue too to hang with friends with some drinks or popcorn before the show starts. There are plentiful bathrooms throughout as well so you never am stuck in lines during the show. The venue itself is quite easy to get to, with a parking lot nearby and easy access to many Metro buses and the D line. The only thing I wish they'd improve is line management before the show--multiple times the line stretches multiple blocks with confusing gaps to let cars go into the lots that cause a lot of people to cut. It'd be great if this got more under control. Otherwise, definitely come see The Wiltern at least once if you can!

I will not be back to this Venue. I went to see Leon Thomas, who was great! But the building is historical so it doesn't have an elevator and I needed one. Bad back & knees. I also made the mistake of buying tickets in the first row of the Loge balcony. The seat is so close to the wall that I couldn't stretch my legs. It was terrible, I couldn't even stay til the end. Not to mention the line to get inside, before the concert started, was ridiculous. It moved quickly but it was still crazy. I'm just not built for outside anymore ‍

Went to see The Fray on 8/24/25 at night. It was a smooth process with the check-in. We had general admission, but the layout was great. You can easily go out to the bathroom if needed or buy drinks. This is a great venue for small concerts. Bathrooms: located on the bottom floor, so you will have to go through the stairs Parking: We didn't have to park but there are garages nearby. I would recommend taking the metro because it is right in-front of the Wiltern. Water: you cannot bring a full bottle, so you have to drink it before entering. You can bring an empty bottle and just fill up over there.

Recently came here to watch a band that I grew up listening to as a kid. This time around, I was eight months pregnant. I was already a bit hesitant to go to the show as my body has been telling me to slow down, but the staff at the show did an exceptional job making me feel as comfortable as I could. From giving me accessibility access, to providing me with a private bathroom, and giving my earplugs, I felt comfortable here. The venue is great. It's located in KTOWN. I think the con is the parking here. It's next to the Ralph's grocery store and cost me $40! Overall, a great place to catch a show still though.

Does it get hot in the venue? I have heat intolerance.

When I went it was actually a little chilly so you should be good this was also back in April

What is the bag policy? It's nowhere on the website?

    Is there coat check?

    Yes, for a fee.

Can you buy tickets in person at the box office for a future show? If they open the box office for another show would they sell you tickets for a future event?

I doubt it, everything is online or on a ticket app. They are also difficult to get a hold of, I emailed the office a couple of times and they never respond.

I purchased tickets in GA & tickets are labeled either GA1 & GA2. Will my party be separated, or is GA all one section?

It is all one area behind the pit There is ADA seating in one section

Does it get hot or cold inside?

I didn't feel like the AC was blasting, nor was I cold, so I would say neither.

Does anyone know how the age required to be alone? I tried searching and it says "Insomniac shows only allow patrons ages 18 and up into the venue. You must have a valid photo ID." But I'm going to a Kpop concert, it's tomorrow but I'm 16 :,)

Live Nation owns the Wiltern. Age limits are supposed to be on the site for a specific event. There is no age limit listed for your event. I doubt anyone will notice anyway. You need ID to show that you are vaxed. They don't look at the age unless…

The third party tickets sites are not clarifying where general floor seats are located. The floor map Is just one big section. When it says GA floor where is that on the…

No, that's the standing only room. No designated seats

Do you still need proof of a negative covid test? and if so if there testing on site?

If you don't have proof of vax, as you should, yes you have to have a neg. test to protect others from you.

Can I bring a photo of my vac card?

    yes

Can you upgrade your ticket at the last minute, like for tonight?

    Yep. Do it in line.

Do you have to be vaccinated or can you show a negative test result to get in? The website is confusing.

Everyone is checked at the door for proof of vaccination. If you're not vaccinated, they require…

So upcoming December I'm attending a show here I know they state you either must be vaccinated or show 72hr negative result but so did the Novo DTLA and didn't get in so is it still a negative test result or full vax only?

Yes, Staff will check to see if you've been vaccinated and will ask you to show your physical card.…

How late does a Thursday night show go w/ 1 opener ? Doors @ 7

You will get out around 11 pm. Doors at 7 so the first act will be at 8 and then a break then the headliner. You may get out at 10:30. I never have, but with just one opener it is possible if they do a short set.

Where is the best place to park?

Around the corner in the Ralph's parking lot or street parking!

Are there seats for the handicapped?

    Yes

    Are there any covid precautions?

You are required to show your proof of vaccination or a recent negative test. Masks are required unless eating or drinking.

How much is the VIP underground parking package? And what does it include?

If an event starts at 7 around what time will it end?

Doors open at 7pm. Opening act 8pm. Headliner 9:15pm. 90 minute set. Over at 10:45pm.

    Is it kid friendly?

5 is the youngest age allowed for most shows. Insomniac shows only allow 18+ patrons to come into the venue. If you're with kids I recommend grabbing seats over any standing tickets.

There's a big, beautiful, bar and a disco ball and it has a lot of charm since it's an older venue. Seeing a show here feels less stressful than seeing one in downtown or Hollywood. But once you find it, it's large, gated, and has a couple attendants watching the cars. You go upstairs and it opens up into a decent sized space. Large enough to hold people and dance, and small enough that you can see the band from every point in the bar. It has a long bar when you enter and looks like they'll take care of you for the night. At the far end of the venue is a little space. I'm not sure if they use that as their green room cuz it wasn't inviting you to come in. Overall, I think it's a decent venue. Not sure if the sound was an issue w the bands' equipment or The Paramount. I'd go back if a fave band of mine is playing.

It was all a foreign concept to me. Booking three or four or five acts in one night, charging you admission only once based on which act you came in for and most of the time if you came to the first you could stay through the 5th, or as most did, they came to see who they intended to see and maybe saw some of the act that was after and then went out to Hollywood to get some eats with their friends. Hotel Cafe is going away in 2026, but it is not gone, they will just be moving from their iconic Hollywood location, that small room that barely held 150, a small stage in the corner, a few low tables and a bar in the back to a new location in Los Angeles. It is the place where the singer-songwriter movement of the mid-2000s to the mid-2010s hard launched a revival. It's like what the Troubadour was to the Laurel Canyon singers in the 1970s. Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Greg Laswell, Priscilla Ahn, Meiko, Cary Brothers and many others. Adele even played here before her first album released in the US. I saw Sara Bareilles here once and she left everyone in tears after her song and bolted out the back door. I went to the front of the house and her family were blowing out the last of the signed copies her tour posters for only $10 since it was the last show of her tour. I bought a few. I have come here to see a friend like Big Phony sing, and then exit into the back room/lobby and see Hollywood stars entering to see their friend who would be singing next. It's that kind of local spot. The sound was always great and the drinks were well crafted and strong. I recently saw Priscilla Ahn sing here again and it brought back memories of the first time I saw her here, when she only had a 5 track EP CD. When she sang Dream again this year, it felt like everything had come full circle, since that first CD released 20 years ago. I cannot wait to see what the new building looks like, but a huge part of me, like for everyone else that has been here, will miss that little room in the back of the alley, where young dreamers became singers, where singers became stars.

We thought that meant "punk", and we weren't completely wrong- but we were promptly informed the lead singer of the first band had dislocated her knee and torn her ACL on the stage- it is not known whether the stage caused this but most said the singer was not doing anything crazy in terms of movement. The ambulance was called, and the people in charge were managing the situation to the absolute best of their ability but that poor lead singer was on stage incapacitated with people all around her giving her conflicting advice. This poor thing. They moved all the bands down to the floor level after the first band in order to mitigate the situation. There were some massive sound quality issues, the lights stayed on for the entirety our out-of-town friends set, which they still played like champions- the closing band even had the guys in charge of wandering on the stages behind them and even onto the stage with them, mid-set- (to fix issues I'm sure). I just felt so bad for everyone involved: the injured band, the fans who paid and had to wait a long time through delays, the bands that played after the incident (the band we saw had the lights on the entire set too), and the crew running the show who were clearly just doing their best given the circumstances. I will say it was a calm intimate venue when it all went down- everyone was trying to help, just a crazy first impression of The Smell for us.

Concert was supposed to start at 9 with entrance entry being at 8pm. Long wait time for security to check everyone. This was the most intense security check ever. Like going through the TSA lol. They had so many rules. One being no gum. I was like seriously so not cool as I had a bunch of packs in my purse. Just had hubby take my purse back to car as I didn't want to throw away anything. Also hated that they had no smoking area for ganja as other venues do when hosting reggae gigs. We finally make it in the venue. Decided to grab a few brews. For 2 tall modelo cans 18 bucks a pop. That's the most expensive beer I've ever paid for from a can. So 40.41 for 2 beers. Absolute freaking hwy robbery. Didn't go back as at that price I could buy a 24 pack at the store lol. Plus the dude working wasn't friendly at all. On to the inside of the venue. Concert was supposed to start at 9pm. They did have a DJ but he really didn't hype us up before the main event. Didn't like the setup not inviting at all. Small dance floor & it got way too cramped. Unfortunately the show didn't end up starting until 9:35 & was done around 11.20. Love Protoje and all the music was awesome but this was one of the worst concerts. Felt very ripped off. Most definitely won't be returning or recommending. Hard pass!

Didn't get any drinks, but the ID check to get the 21+ drink wristband was efficient and quick since it was done outside the venue while we were waiting for security check. Venue was strict on the GA standing area, which I'm super grateful for since I'm always worried for the safety of GA type of events. Parking is usually the biggest issue when it comes to most things in Los Angeles. We didn't come early, so we weren't able to find decent street parking. We went to two of the listed parking lot on their website: one was closed and the one other didn't allow 30+ minutes parking. We ended up parking at the structure connected with multiple restaurants: Chipotle, Einstein Bros. The parking was straight forward for the most part. Scan QR code and follow the directions. It was reasonably priced as well, you just have to remember to end the parking time so you won't overcharged.

Omar and his team are among the best in this business because they truly care and want your event to be successful. They are a literal dream to work with. They offer a beautiful space that can be transformed into just about anything with state-of-the-art A/V systems and screen projections. They are able to offer many things in-house that you would otherwise have to find with outside vendors. Their kitchen is top-notch and the bartenders know how to make your guests happy. They are flexible and easy to work with from the first moment you meet them. On top of all that, their prices are reasonable and the quality you get back is worth what you pay. I am so grateful to Omar and his entire team for being such a pleasure to work with!

There is a large hallway when you enter, then a bar to the left side in a separate room, and I think the women's restroom is across the way. If you kept straight, you enter the large ballroom where there are bars on either side and a stage in front where the dj was. For our particular event, there was a long table set up on the right side for a minimal offering of food while there was random furniture set up throughout the venue along with a couple of photo booths. Considering the previous years party was actually AT work, Candela was a nice upgrade!
