We started in the dining area, but our server, Amanda, wasn't very friendly or attentive, so we decided to move to the bar. The bartender was incredibly kind and doing her best, but she seemed overwhelmed by how busy it was. With some extra support--like a barback--she could have provided an even better experience. At that point, though, after waiting so long, we were just ready to grab something quick and head out. Tried to do 2 different meals here while I was in the area for a business trip Evening meal - midweek. The restaurant was slow, I was greeted and seated pretty quickly, and I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. After the waitress had refilled my drink twice, she said she would check to see where my salad was... a couple of minutes later, she stops by with a salad: "Oh, this isn't yours. Yours should be coming soon" as she leave the restaurant to take the salad to the bar outside the restaurant. 25 minutes into the visit, she comes by with my salad "they were having problems with your chicken". Next time I saw here was with the check "I'm guessing you don't want desert" (no drink off the bill, no other apologies) This is not the service I expect at a steak house Breakfast - get down to the restaurant about 7:30 AM, no customers, no waitstaff, no kitchen help. I double check their front, this is the breakfast place for the hotel. I took a seat and waited - about 10 minutes later a waitress comes out "Oh i didn't know there was anyone out here". I tell her I'm now in a bit of a rush and I place an order. While I am waiting another person comes in looking for breakfast, I explained my experience so far and he starts back towards the kitchen, calling out "hello" - he comes back "well i think the cook was just walking out, but there is no one back there" Over all, if you don't have a minimum of an hour to wait, this is not the place for you I can not see visiting it again under any circumstances read more

Made a mistake on a business and booked the wrong Delta hotel but I'm glad I did. This hotel is nice with great rooms and many spacious and comfortable common areas. I really liked the restaurant with good food. I like their sliders and the filet mignon medallion from the list of appetizers. But most importantly, they have bourbon (well it's in KY) a lot of bourbon. I had a rating flight as I'm not a connaisseur. Their breakfast is not great. Very disappointed for the Easter buffet! As soon as we were being seated you could tell that the AC was not working. The food was good but we hurried to eat so we could leave. We noticed that the AC was working where the buffet was being served. And behind the buffet there were open rooms where it was cool and the staff were eating. Great food at the Winchester. I stayed at the Delta Marriott where the Winchester is located. They have a nice dining room. You can sit at a high top table or a regular type table. The wait staff were all excellent. Very attentive and super nice. Because I was alone I ate there both nights. I was not disappointed. Both meals were excellent. They brought out a few hush puppies that were so tasty. Then the bottomless salad followed by my meal. They had great options for dessert but I was too full. After being open several years I just ate here for the first time. The restaurant is really nice inside and looked very clean and modern. I met friends for dinner, we had reservations so we didn't have any wait time to be seated which was nice. Our server was with us within a few minutes taking our drink orders and answering a few questions about the menu. We placed our orders and received some appetizers fairly quickly. Our entrees were a different story though, it took almost an hour to get our food. While there were several occupied tables I wouldn't say they were especially busy. We did have a party of ten but everyone ordered items on the menu without any changes at all. Two members of our party were brought something completely different than what they ordered, the server promptly took them back and said he would bring them what they ordered, by the time they got their food everyone was nearly finished with their meals. My food was good and prepared as I ordered it but it was luke warm at best when I got it. Everyone at the table seemed to have the same problem. Taste wise my food was good and had it been hot I probably would have really enjoyed what I ordered. We were at the table for nearly two hours and during that time management didn't stop by to check on whether we were happy with our meals and service. The two members of our party that had been served the wrong meals weren't comped or offered any sort of extras, which I felt they should have been taken care of in some way. Our server was good as far as taking care of us but didn't offer any explanation for why our friend's food was wrong. I felt the menu was a little pricey even though the food was okay. The steaks were all very salty. My steak was barely warm my daughter-in-law's meal. First night I had the tuna with saffron rice and green beans. The rice was cold and crunchy in spots like it was fried rice that got over fried. The tuna taste from frozen and was cold and tough covered in a ton of wasabi cream. Night two ordered the Caesar salad with blackened salmon. Came out with blackened shrimp. The only problem with the salad at that point was that there were pieces of stalk bottom in it. Since it was an error the bartender brought me the salmon. It was freezer burned and I couldn't eat it. It was a beautiful space and the wait staff was so accommodating. I highly recommend using the Winchester for any of your celebratory dinners. 4 stars because the steak can be hit or miss. They aren't very consistent with the cooks of their meat. I have had medium well steaks from the Winchester that look rare all the way to charcoal.
