Creme brûlée
Mallory L.

We went to celebrate a birthday dinner here, this was my first time visiting. They are going for a more fine dining experience. Competing with other local restaurants like the Fredrick. The outside of the building and even the inside aren't that fancy though so it's a stretch. The food however was great, just very pricey. I had the filet mingon and did a side of glazed carrots which were absolutely wonderful. I wasn't as much of a fan of the Mac and cheese. Dessert was the crème brûlée which was also very, very nice. Would love to come back again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice upscale restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has everything from reasonably priced to quite expensive. They have a lot of carry out orders. I had the wedge salad. An excellent choice, so fresh. Will eat here again sometime.

We came here on a Sunday night for dinner. We made a reservation but we would have been fine without it because it wasn't that busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a little dark in here, but I feel like a lot of steakhouses are dark inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were also playing music the whole time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was nice and friendly. The second we were seated, the waitress brought us bread and butter. For the appetizer we got Cheese Fondue. That was really good. There was a good variety of items to dip in the hot cheese. We ordered Filet Mignon with loaded baked potato and salad. It was really good. The sauce on top of the steak had a good flavor. We also had the Ribeye with baked potato and salad. The Ribeye was fine. Our one complaint was that the salad came out at the same time as the cheese fondue. The steaks came out not long later. This made everything really rushed. Usually even if you order everything at the same time, they at least have some space between each course. They also had a lot of good dessert options but we were full and tired so in the end we didn't order any dessert. I recommend The Grill on Third. It was a good night.

The service was good. The ambiance was quiet and peaceful. The food was good. Home fries seemed like a half serving, added onions to mine. Looks like more onions than potatoes. I liked that they served fresh fruit with the meal. My daughter had the omlete with a side of truffle fries, and she said it was great. The food was fresh and tasted amazing! Enjoyed it. I'm glad we came when it first opened because it was crowded by the time we left.

Food was good. For the price servings were a little skimpy. Extremely busy so service was a little slow.

The slowest Resterant I've ever been too. Wasn't servers fault but took 30 minutes for our salads, and over an hour for our entrees!!!!0

Even once we were seated the server was telling us that the kitchen was a bit backed up so that is why our food was taking a little longer. Our waitress was nice and friendly. She gave us honest opinions about the items on the menu, which is always great to have. We ordered the Meggie's Bread Sticks with Cheese as our appetizer. It was delicious, especially with the added cheese. It came with some red sauce stuff to dip the bread sticks in. The pizza we got was the 14 inch Gladiator. It had 6 slices. It was good, but a bit messy (and hot when it first came out). At the end we ordered the Backyard Hay Stack (minus the nuts). That was really good as well and we devoured it. The ambience was good. It was a little loud, however it was crowded. There was a little astronaut theme going on here. I recommend coming to Backyard Pizza.

Great atmosphere, but serious seafood safety concerns…read more I really wanted to love this spot the vibe is fun, the service was decent, and the menu looked promising. But unfortunately, I had a serious issue with the mussel dish I was served. When the bowl arrived, most of the mussels were completely closed, which is a huge red flag for anyone familiar with seafood. As a general food safety rule: if a mussel doesn't open during cooking, it was likely dead before being cooked and it's unsafe to eat. I flagged it right away to avoid getting sick, and while the server acknowledged it and took off $4, that felt like a very minimal gesture for a dish that could have caused food poisoning. I'm grateful I caught it before taking a bite, but serving unopened shellfish isn't just a minor mistake it's a health hazard. The cream sauce itself was tasty, and the bread was good, but the overall experience left me cautious. If you're ordering seafood here, I recommend checking your plate carefully or maybe just skipping it altogether until kitchen safety improves. Hoping they step it up. Food safety isn't negotiable

Bruno's Spotted Hare is fantastic…read more I stopped by recently with a family member while visiting, having heard good initial things about this restaurant. The space is gorgeous; it has the dark coziness of a lodge with beautiful, wild-inspired accents. We were seated in a booth near the window: the booth was comfortable but may be a tight squeeze if two larger adults are sitting on the same side (I'd recommend asking for a table in that case). I started off with an American Trilogy cocktail and loved it; it was surprisingly smooth and easy to drink while being flavorful. We debated appetizer options but went with the sourdough bread and butters. The butters were rosemary, garlic, and sorghum, and while all were great, the sorghum was a favorite. The bread was flavorful and nicely chewy. I'm always happy to see a vegetarian-friendly soup on a menu, so I ordered the beans and greens soup and loved it. It has a very deep flavor, yet the beans weren't overly mushy. The server (who was amazing) recommended some Tabasco for adding heat, which I enjoyed. For entrées, my dining partner got the fried chicken on the server's recommendation, and I got the mushroom pasta. The fried chicken was described by my relative as a crunchy coating with a moist meat; they called it "the best fried chicken" they've had. I tasted the mashed potatoes and can happily vouch for them, as they were creamy and perfectly seasoned. My dining partner raved about the home-style green beans, too. My mushroom pasta was fantastic. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and were flavorful without being slimy or mushy. The pasta was hearty and cooked al dente. As a pleasant surprise. I got a couple slices of bread with my pasta, too; this time topped with some cheese and seasoning. It was perfect for soaking up the last bits of pasta sauce, as I cleaned my plate. I got dessert to go; it was the cornmeal pound cake and packaged conveniently (with the ice cream separate). It was delicious even at home; the cake itself wasn't too sweet, meaning that the combination of it, the ice cream, and the honey had a perfect balance of flavor. I will try to make a special trip here whenever I'm in the area. It's a beautiful, special addition to the local dining scene.
