After 10 my minutes we ask if there was a spot outside that we could watch without interrupting and she said oh yes. Not sure if she was the event coordinator but she seemed frazzled. The buffet line was a poor set up. There were two entree option that you could chose from but they set it up on each side of the table but only one line. If you wanted water you had to go to the bar and wait in line. Upstairs guest were instructed not to move the table and I can see why. If you lifted the table the legs didn't go with it because they are not attached. Overall it's an okay venue with a dedicated parking lot. If you are looking for a one stop shop then check it out. The ceremony was held outside at 7pm but still super hot .

My friend's…read morewedding was supposed to happen in a week and a half booked a whole year in advance and they suddenly changed rules, switched up times, and acted like things they originally promised were never said. One of their own employees even told the bride and groom they could end the wedding around 11 PM, but then the "boss lady" tried to claim the contract said the complete opposite... while the employee was literally reading the contract out loud. How do you run a venue and not even know your own rules? Different staff members gave totally different information, and the "main lady" refused to work directly with the couple who PAID them thousands. Instead of fixing their own mess, they acted jumpy and offended because a stressed bride dared to be upset a week before her wedding. And here's the worst part They cancelled her entire wedding less than two weeks before the date and are now refusing to refund the money she paid for the photographer. They take your money, change everything last minute, and then punish you when you respond like any normal person would. No couple deserves this kind of disaster right before their big day. Save yourself the heartbreak and book literally anywhere else!!!!!!!

Not an Ice Cream "Bar" like a rocket pop...but a bar where you can go and load up on as much Ice Cream as you WANT...man...my inner fat kid was sated, you have any idea how hard that is to do?! Awesome idea to whoever came up with that. The outside are where the reception was held was gorgeous, lots of shade due to the big beautiful trees. In the evening they would turn on the hanging lights that were strung up throughout the yard and it was really nice. The dance floor was nice, seeing as I can't dance for crap..I would give it a 5/5 because it's been as good as any dance floor I might have stared at longingly. The food was good, we started with salads that were really good. The lettuce was crisp and it had peanuts in it, they served bowls of ranch and a vinaigrette I want to say. I had the ranch, but my friend had the vinaigrette and really enjoyed it so that's all I have to say about that. The entree was a chicken in mushroom sauce I wanna say. I just remember it was a little cold because we were greeting the wedding party when it was served so the wind got the better of it. It was still pretty great, oddly enough I remember the carrots served with it the best because I wanted more haha. The night went on and the servers kept the tables managed really well, you didn't have crap strewn all over the place which happens a lot at weddings I've been too. So good job on keeping it clean. We were shooed out at 10 pm, and lots of photos were taken. Overall it was a wonderful and amazing reception, but I can't rate it on my company and the wedding couple alone.

Zero lighting outside was awkward for everyone trying to park and walk to their cars. Everyone was mentioning that. As a former restaurant owner I know they're just asking for a liability lawsuit with their pitch dark grounds. I get wanting to maintain ambiance but on a dark night at least some soft lighting so you can see where you're walking is necessary. The food was good, and well presented, but salt less. When I asked one of the staff for Salt I was told they didn't have any. (?!) "Any? Not in the whole entire house?" Finally a lady brought out 1 set. (For 50+ people?) If you're not going to provide those silverware sets that include the little salt and pepper packages, go to Hobby Lobby and get those sets of multiple crystal miniature salt and pepper sets. An expense of probably about $30 to have a set for each table. I was busy beginning a new job and my fiance traveled weeks at a time for work, so I wanted to make the planning process as easy as possible. My mother-in-law happened to see Kemah Gardens advertised in a local magazine, but didn't know much about it. We decided to drive by one Sunday afternoon just to see where it was located. On the way there, I began reading reviews about the property and Ciria, the owner. The reviews could not have been better, and I was anxious to see the place. We didn't have an appointment, but thought we would just drive by to check it out, and then try to schedule a time to see it later in the week. As soon as we arrived, Ciria greeted us and invited us to look around. The grounds are beautiful - it is a B&B property on several acres, with deck/arch for ceremonies overlooking a pond. There is a large covered pavillion for reception areas, and everything is nicely kept and landscaped. After looking around, we asked for some information on what services she offered. Ciria can pretty much tailor your package to what you are looking for. We found that the All Inclusive package worked great for us. It included ceremony chairs, arch decor, use of the house for both bridal party and groomsmen to get ready, reception tables/chairs/basic linens, caterer from her list, wedding cake allowance, bartenders, security, clean-up crew, valet, use of champagne glasses/cake cutter, DJ, use of the property for bridal portraits, some day-of coordinating services and probably even more things I've forgotten. This could not have been more perfect for what I was looking for! Everything was in one place. Ciria is very experienced with weddings, and her professionalism is incredible. She has handled all sorts of weather crises, sick bridesmaids, you name it. I felt confident that Ciria would be able to handle anything! We kept in touch many times throughout our engagement, by meeting in person for the payment schedule, to phone calls and emails. By the time our event came around, Ciria was almost like a member of the family. On the day before my wedding, my dad and aunt went by the propery unannounced to see where it was (I had no idea they were doing this - she actually had a wedding going on that day, and I would have told them not to bother her!). Ciria took the time to show them around and explain how she got into the business. I was shocked! She is never too busy for her clients and she will give you all of the attention you need. The wedding was beautiful - timed perfectly with the sunset thanks to Ciria's planning. Everything looked perfect - her staff helped set-up some of the major pieces and my family was able to come early to fill in the rest. She helped keep us on task and I had so many people tell me what a beautiful wedding it was thanks to her help! I stoppped by a few weeks after we returned from our honeymoon to show her pictures and talk about the wedding. She still gave me the same attention as if I was a bride just beginning to plan. You will not be disappointed with Kemah Gardens and Ciria. No matter the size of the event or your budget, Ciria will be able to help you design the wedding of your dreams. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! One last thing - her staff is top notch. She uses many different vendors to help with the cake, DJ services, bartending, valet and set-up/clean-up staff. My sister told me after the wedding that some of the money from our dollar dance had fallen out of the basket as she was packing it up. A high school student that was helping to clean up noticed a $100 bill had fallen on the floor and handed it to my sister. We were shocked at his honesty and integrity. They were told they could bring in their own alcohol, sodas and water. However, 4 days before the wedding they were told they couldn't bring water & sodas. The guest have to pay for them their!! The bride didn't want certain decorations, but the people said they weren't moving them!! The day of the reception it was very warm in the building and especially in the VIP room upstairs. I went outside to get my bag that had my change of clothes, phone charger, meds etc... I put 4 half drank bottles of water in my bag. When I entered the building a Hispanic woman approached me and asked me what was in my bag. I started to tell her and she grabbed my bag to look inside!! How rude!! She then said I couldn't bring in my water. I asked why. She told me I had to buy the water. I told her I wasn't buying any water when I have my own. I then took my water back to my car and returned to the building. That Gestopo woman came rushing up to me to look in my bag AGAIN!! I told her that I didn't have any water! I left it in my car. She grabbed my bag and started going through it! I told her "it's my clothes, my panties, my socks, my charger & meds!" She let go and said "It's policy." I walked off and went up stairs. I told the wedding party about her. I was so mad! Around 9:00pm several of us noticed it started getting hot inside. I thought it was me, but I saw other people fanning themselves. We all came to the conclusion that the people of the place turned up the ac. They made it so uncomfortable that people were leaving. The place was rented until 1:00am!! I left after 10:30pm. It was too hot in there for me!! Did you know that this place used to be a strip club? Sure did! LOL!! Don't rent this place out.

I had my wedding at the watergrove event venue in December of 2024, and all I can say is please do…read morenot use this venue if you are a bride. Everyone should leave their wedding day feeling like it was the best day ever, and unfortunately that was not my experience. My experience was filled with unfulfilled promises. We told them photography and videography were some of the most important things to us. We were told we would get all of the pictures, video footage from the whole day, and a montage video. We received the pictures and video footage but no montage. When I reached out to complain, they only cut the whole day footage into three minutes and it was nothing like the video we were told we would get. We were told we would get pictures back in 30 days and it took 60. When we did get our pictures back, we had flash drives mailed to us and one of the flash drives was broken to where half of our pictures had gray boxes over it. We also had disappointments in catering. We requested water and pink lemonade which was on our contract, and we only received water and tea. I don't drink tea and we went with no alcohol, so I was really disappointed. We also requested extra fajita meat and no chicken wings and shrimp, but the wings and shrimp were both still served. The DJ also messaged me two days before the wedding that the watergrove said they were not paying him for the whole day like they had told me. I had to reach out to the watergrove and beg for the DJ to be paid for the whole day like I was told. I almost didn't have a DJ for my ceremony, and I am so thankful he reached out to me so I could sort it out. Other disappointments in the wedding included that I had to ask for the table cloths to be ironed (they looked like they had been crumbled in a box for months), the ice machine was broken, they did not put our party favors into bins like they said they would, many guests glasses were taken aware before speeches, we were given no plates for cake cutting (which we paid the $100 fee for and it took a long time for it to be served), it took longer to flip the ceremony space than promised, I had to request for the Photo Booth to be redone, I paid for the day of coordinator and she was gone part of the day and I was left with someone I had never met, and we were told there would be a coffee bar at night and there was not. I emailed The WaterGrove event venue on February 24th, and they offered a discount the next time I book with them. They also said the photographer could redo our wedding video at another location or time, but in our opinion that just wouldn't be special anymore. Please do not use them for your event.

The interior of the venue is very posh - tile/marble work, fresh paint on the walls, well maintained grounds, etc, so a great backdrop to host any type of large event.
