The deciding factor was their reasonably priced door with a built-in doggie door for our two 70 lb dogs go outside to fo their thing. Other companies either didn't offer this option or quoted more than double the price. Our sales representative, Larry, was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. Scheduling and installation were quick and efficient. The installation team did a beautiful job. Apologies for the dirty windows/dog door, we've had them up a few months. After 3 months, the doors are holding up great. We will definitely be using Ameristar again when it's time to replace our windows.

The temperature in the south facing bedroom on a hot 90 degree plus day would always be nine degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I decided to replace not only the four windows in the south facing bedroom, but six other windows that can be viewed in the same field of vision from the street, to keep the aesthetics consistent. The replacement windows I selected are double pane argon gas filled to help keep the heat out during the summer season. I put out a bid on Yelp and narrowed the field down to two companies, Note I did not select the least expensive bid, but actually selected the most expensive bid. My reasoning was a solid five star Yelp rating, BBB A+++ rating and the knowledge and excellent follow up provided by the salesperson, David White. Other factors in my decision were silver coating on the glass to reduce the intense green hue that most argon gas filled windows exhibit and exterior window casings that are solid without decorative ribs that would collect dirt. I was provided with a detailed explanation of the process and same day estimate. The process from start to finish took five weeks. This would have been as little as two weeks if I did not have an arch top window. Curved windows take longer to build, at least for Ameristar. It took me a while to prepare the two rooms, so I was not in a big hurry. The installation was done yesterday. The crew was on time, polite, and from my view, was extremely careful and exhibited excellent attention to detail. The 10 windows were installed in one day. The crew cleaned up their mess very well and everything went according to plan. I am completely satisfied with the entire process. The windows are very elegant looking, not so green and make the house look better. I trust that the temperature in the south facing bedroom will level out with the rest of the house with the argon gas in the windows. Five stars all the way. Well done.

While we really like the quality of the windows and door so far, when I went to claim the federal 30% energy tax deduction for them on my 2025 income tax, Premium could NOT provide the "QMID certification" that their products meet federal energy saving standards required to get that tax credit. Apparently, the firm did not apply for this certification (it's a "QMID number") that one must put on their tax return when claiming the 30% credit. So we are out $850.00 (actual dollars) off our 2025 taxes. You would think that a company selling a product that was eligible for a hefty tax credit would make sure that they could provide proper certification for the customer to claim that credit, would't you? I mean, come on...Nice windows, but... I give them three stars for the nice windows, but they lose two more because of the lack of tax information.

He sent his guys to my home and first they installed the first fixed shower door on the wrong side even though everything was in writing so I had to call Chris to let him know because they were about to the the same mistake in my other bathroom. Obviously holes were made for the fixed shower panel on the wrong side so here I have holes in my tile, which this was 2 months ago and have yet to be fixed by Chris even after numerous calls and texts and no answer. After the finished installing 2 shower doors (9 hours later) they taped up the shower doors so I couldn't slide the doors to check the work but was expected to pay in full before they left and I did (oh mind you he only takes cash or zelle - first red flag). After 72 hours I went to check on the doors, took the tape off and both shower doors were installed wrong, One shower door you can fit your whole hand under the door that closes and opens and the other gets caught when you try to open it and when you close it it doesn't stay shut. Also lets not talk about the fact that his workers left my home a total mess. Metal shavings all over my sons bathroom floor and his bedroom which I did not get to clean up before my son got a piece stuck in his foot, garbage left on the floors, in my small garbage cans etc. Also took me 3.5 hours to scrape all the excess glue that they got all over the shower doors and both of my bath tubs. The list goes on. I texted Chris videos and pictures of everything and he himself was appalled of everything I sent him. I asked him for a site visit and he promised that everything was going to be fixed and we made an appointment for him to come see us. Well I texted him the night before to confirm he was coming the next day no answer. I called him and texted him the next morning because we stayed home for the morning from work to meet him and he completely ghosted us and he was a no show. I continued to text and call him for days and nothing. He has yet to make this right and he took down his FB page and has not responded to any calls or texts. So here I have 2 shower doors that are not 100% functional and holes in my tiles after all this time. STAY AWAY from this guy. What a looser!!!! KARMA will get you Chris!

I had used a different company a year and a half ago to "fix" this problem with the entryway to my business. I was worried I would need to replace the entire kickplate and closing mechanism for the 9ft. glass door. Justin worked faster than the prior company, and did a better job pulling dents out of the stainless steel and fixing the internal issue. He did a better clean up job afterwards as well. With any future issues or service needs, I'll definitely be using their services again. Well done!

If ever a company deserved a bad rating, this is the one. The Window Guys of Corona, CA installed three slider patio doors at our house. The resulting smell of organic vapors inside the house was immediate, overwhelming and impossible to stop. We called the company and begged them to tell us what they used for sealant. It took a week for them to respond. The official documents they eventually sent stated the sealant is designed for "Exterior use only" and contains "chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer." It also stated "Do not use inside occupied dwellings" We contacted the manufacturer of the sealant. They told us it may never dry and should not have been used under a patio door track because that is an interior use. They said the sealant contains chemicals that should not be breathed and should be removed. After 30 days, we had the sealant removed. The removal and replacement with the proper sealant cost us over $10,000. But, that's not all. One of the slider doors the Window Guys installed did not lock properly and had to be lifted onto the latch. This was impossible for my wife as it was too heavy. Also, the stucco work around the sliders was done with a 4-inch putty knife not a stucco trowel and did not match the existing stucco. What's worse, when the slider patio doors were being removed, the new contractor pointed out that screws were non-existent on one side of the slider frame that didn't latch. It's only fair to say, we took the Window Guys to small claims court and lost. The official documents from the manufacturer were not enough evidence for the judge. The owner presented himself as an expert who "follows industry standards." But, the judge could not verify that claim in the courtroom. So I checked later. Milgard, the window manufacturer stated there are no industry standards for sealant and contractors should follow sealant manufacturer guidelines. The American Architectural Manufacturers Association says exactly the same thing, "Use sealant recommended and approved by the sealant/flashing manufacturer." It should be noted that this sealant was designed and patented by chemical engineers with PhD degrees in chemistry. They are the true experts. You don't have to believe me. You can go to Home Depot and buy this sealant and smell it for yourself. It's called OSI Quad. You'll notice the tube is clearly marked "Exterior use only." Incidentally, I polled the top 10 window replacement companies listed on Google. None of them use OSI Quad as a sealant for patio slider doors. If I could give The Window Guys the rating that they actually earned, it would be a negative 5 stars. My mistake was hiring them in the first place. That mistake cost us $10,000. read more

We recently had 3 new Milgard Trinsic sliding doors installed by The Window Guys, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Cesar and his crew were absolutely amazing. The workmanship and attention to detail were top-notch, and the installation came out even better than we expected. The crew was professional, respectful of our home, punctual, and kept everything clean throughout the project. You can really tell they take pride in their work. The new doors completely transformed the look of our home and operate beautifully. It's hard to find contractors these days who communicate well, show up on time, and genuinely care about quality -- but Cesar and The Window Guys delivered on all of it. My experience:…read more So i reached out via yelp to andres and was replied to pretty quick. He was able to visit the following day to get measurements / estimate price. He was nice and explained everything. Plus gave suggestions... I gave a downpayment of 10% for everything to proceed. They then ordered it. Rough estimate would be 3-4 weeks for the entire process. They have a physical store in norco which was being run by Andres' wife. After 3 weeks or so give or take... i got a message that they were ready to install. Well within the time frame.... They informed me when they were on the way. They probably took roughly 2.5 hours. Lucas, Andres' son was present. Nothing was rushed and i saw how they handled everything... They can reuse your old door handle... but in my case, i bought a new one... just because. The price: It's pretty fair. It isn't cheap but you get what you paid for. For the peace of mind... ill do it again. Since i got a door replacement, everything was included. From removing the old one , to clean up, trash, installing... and thankfully.... the door i got doesn't need any paint. So it's pretty good. Threshold was top notch. And it seems water / insects wont be able to pop in. Will i choose to work with them again? Probably yes... Once i opt for a screen door... maybe in a couple more months once it gets a little bit cooler.

Who knows how old that thin windowpane was in the upper half of that door, nor how many times had the wind slammed that sturdy door shut, but this time, it gave up the ghost and shattered glass all over my kitchen. Big, ugly, lethal looking shards. The door was essential to keeping the excessive heat and cold at bay. It was an inside door leading to an enclosed but uninsulated porch room, then to my garden. I didn't want a brand new, Home Depot door. This one was original to the house. I needed it to be fixed, and I needed it asap. So forget about my handyman hubby; his Hunny-do list is still longer than my Grandson's Xmas Wish List. Just sayin'. I looked for a referral from a trusted contractor we knew. And Jelco Glass (Nick) is the only name he gave me. Trust is most important. We brought the door to Nick, a real biggie decision that saved us about 1/2 of his original quote. Two days later, we were loading it back in our car. Tempered glass. Ah yes! Good for another century, and far less lethal should Mother Nature not play nice again. Sure, the door will need repainting. That will be another day. But the original quarter-round molding (with untold layers of ancient paint) that was holding the glass in, was carefully removed then reinstalled perfectly. My door is happy to have her ancient parts intact. I'm happy, too. Thanks Nick!

We especially appreciated that this is a small, family owned, business, and that in addition to being an owner and primary point of contact, Maribel shared that she also had an active contractors license.
