As someone who drinks bold and full-bodied reds, the wine here that is supposed to speak to me is the cabernet sauvignon. However, like with all of the wines here, the cab sauv was very light and sweeter than I anticipated. With that said, I wasn't a fan of any of the wines, which is too bad since the concept seems nice. Great Wine is located on the retail level of the Elements Apartments in downtown Bellevue. The space is beautiful, as it can accommodate private events and parties with its huge communal table. It also has floor-to-ceiling windows, which gets wonderful natural light and makes the space feel more open and large. Yet unfortunately, I just didn't prefer any of the wines here.

This is one of my favorite things to do with wine makers, importers, and other aficionados. We picked up 6 bottles ones based on their recommendations, and every single recommendation was a great choice. This is definitely one of my go-to stops when visiting the Seattle-Bellevue Metro Area.

It didn't give the warming sensation that the Baco did- was more of a cooling sensation that surprised me. The Hazy Syrah gave me port vibes. Full and juicy flavor. The pricing seems reasonable -better than what I've seen in any retail shop, and delivery is easy. It seems like they get access to wines before some stores do, and interestingly.. they are selling some specialty food items on their list from Italy, etc. They also run referral incentives -something to take advantage of if your friends like wine!

Very awkward and when she talked to the manager?, she said whatever, waived both fees. Not how to run a business. The wine we bought was great but won't go back again.

Right next door to Patterson (where my friends are members) was Warr-King. Having never been there before we didn't know what to expect. We arrived on a late Sunday afternoon and were greeted by the larger-than-life owner with the same personality to boot, Brett (aka Big Chill) and manager, Jim. Big Chill noted one of us had a "Guam" shirt and knew people from Guam. And that was how my love affair with Warr-King started... I signed up to be a member that day and walked away with some bottles. They're not only known for being a boutique winery, but they also have events in the back room. There's live music the First Fridays of the month - performed generally by Big Chill on the sax and his buddy, Ian Ayers a fantastic vocalist and guitarist. Did I mention Big Chill performs sax for Josh Heinrichs when he's in town? It's super cool to have that connection and we just saw them perform last month in Everett. And in the last Fridays of the month they feature comedians. Check their FB and IG page for events. The staff are great - Jim's photography dots the walls of the tasing room! It's an uber cool and chill atmosphere and dog friendly!
