Came here for a yelp event and got to do somewhat of a blind tasting of a thin grape, french wine. I enjoyed learning about wine from their sommelier. I got to taste the bubbly strawberry rose and the full body red. The full body red had some good fruit flavor. I like the red wine better than a rose. Some rose wines are hit or miss for me. The event space they have is a decent size for big groups and parties. The staff are wonderful too. I would recommend all the wine enthusiasts and experts to go to Fruit and Wine co to discover some yummy wines and learn from some cool people who know all about wine!

    Some wine recommended by Jackson

Fruit Wine Co has consistently impressed me with their knowledge of wines and phenomenal selection. Staff has great knowledge on wine at both a broad and granular level, Jackson was very helpful. The store is a neat and quaint place with a wine bar for tastings. Support a local business and try something you've never had!!!

I have neither been to this establishment nor heard of it, but Yelp keeps nagging me to post a review so here it is.

They offer happy hour all day on Sundays, and since they don't take reservations, it's first come, first served. We arrived a little after 2 PM and there was plenty of open seating inside and out. This location is in the Spring District, which is super convenient if you're taking the light rail since it drops you off right there. It's located next to a park like plaza with a small grassy area and little water fountains. According to their website, kids are welcome in the restaurant and patio areas until 8 PM (but not in the bar area), which makes this a nice family friendly spot earlier in the day. Later on, the vibe seems like it would be perfect for catching a game, grabbing drinks with friends, and enjoying a more energetic brewery atmosphere. We started with two Moscow mules. Since that's one of our go to drinks and we've had quite a few, these weren't our absolute favorite here. They leaned more on the lime heavy side, and we weren't sure if the ginger beer was just a little flat. That being said, we still finished them! The Birria nachos were the highlight for me! They were so delicious, and the beer cheese sauce was SO good. I honestly just wished there was more of it because it added such a great flavor. My only small complaint is that I wish the toppings were spread out a little more evenly so every bite had a good mix, but overall they were still really tasty. The Mac Attack was also good, but it didn't completely wow us. If you're looking for an ultra thick, super creamy mac and cheese, this probably isn't that style. Still, it was a solid dish and enjoyable! Overall, we had a great first visit and would definitely come back to try more of the menu. Great location right in the heart of the Spring District with a fun atmosphere!

Don't be surprised by the small building because it plays out fairly large with a lot of seating and viewpoints to watch a game. I was there to watch a World Cup game and it was quite crowded but still comfortable. I ordered shrimp poppers. I had fries too. The bar food was fine. The server had a huge amount of tables and she was definitely running around to get to everyone. Considering the crowd that day I was actually happy with the service. I understand how hard it is to accommodate a huge crowd with the noise along with getting to all of the customers having worked in restaurants in my past. So thanks to our server, we did pay up before the game was done making it easy to leave at the end. I'd go back to the Pumphouse again because of nostalgia and ease! Oh and the location is definitely handy.

We shared a pizza and ordered two pasta dishes, and they even let us order a full bottle of wine instead of just a glass. Today's special pizza featured a pistachio sauce--it was creamy, refreshing, not overly salty, and served in a generous portion for one to two people. The pizza dough itself have very strong firewood aroma, which is lovely. We ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, and the unique, wide pasta truly set it apart from what you typically find at other restaurants. Since we were still hungry, we also tried the Rigatoni Alla Vodka, which came with spicy sausage. While I expected more of a vodka flavor, the bold kick of the spicy sausage made it intriguingly flavorful. We couldn't resist today's special dessert, the Panna Cotta. It had a distinctive gelatinous texture and even looked cute as it jiggled on the plate. This cozy spot is perfect for a date or a girls' night out--ideal for sharing a bottle of wine and enjoying the authentic Italian ambiance.

TL;DR: Tapster is an awesome spot you have to check out if you're a beer lover. Never in my life have I had the opportunity to pour my own beer at a bar from so many different taps before. The wide variety of beers here is not something you see often. Most of the time when a place has a large beer menu, it's saturated with a bunch of lagers and IPAs. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how many sours, fruit beers, ciders and stouts they had here. My favorite beer of the evening was one that hot hot honey mixed in with it. While there are a few snacks available for purchase here, you are more than welcome to bring outside food in as well. If you are looking for a specialty alcohol and need a couple groceries as well, I would suggest going to this store since it is all in one place, especially if you happen to be in the area. The person who checked us out seemed nice enough, but was not very knowledgeable about some of the specialty products. That was OK though since we didn't really have questions about anything. We ended up ordering the Blackened Chicken Alfredo from the regular menu instead, and she actually really liked it! Food-wise, I'd consider Dave & Buster's more of an elevated fast-food/casual dining experience than somewhere I'd specifically go for the restaurant. But of course, the real highlight is the arcade! Having games everywhere makes dinner so much more exciting when you're there with kids. The game packages were a little confusing for me at first, so I ended up getting two $25 game cards along with a promotion that included two entrées for an additional charge. Altogether, I paid around $80 for two main dishes plus $50 worth of arcade play, which I thought was pretty reasonable for dinner and entertainment combined.
