It's the kind of place where you can stop in for one thing and leave excited about all the new stuff you discovered. Highly recommend checking it out! The store is always clean, easy to shop, and full of amazing craft beer and wine options. One of my favorite things is finding hidden gems I used to only see back on the East Coast, plus fun special release beers that are hard to find anywhere else that make it easy impress my partner. The staff here really make the experience even better. Everyone is friendly and super knowledgeable, but Arlyne (sp) is always my go-to which for me it's important to have. Such a great store with great team members! I'm always greeted with a hello and a prompt check in to see if I need any help. Team members are knowledgeable about products and make suggestions if anything is ever out of stock. Service at checkout is always friendly and quick. They weren't very polite on the phone when I called to ask if they had a certain type of bourbon and if it's still their policy to take a photo of your drivers license when you purchase alcohol there. And fyi, They still do take a photo of your license which for me isn't worth purchasing there. read more

This is a pretty run-of-the-mill Bevmo. It's not too far from I-90, making it a convenient detour en route to camping destinations along this corridor. There is ample parking available (no surprise given the suburban strip mall setting). Bevmo always disappoints me relative to Total Wine when it comes to both price and variety, and this location unfortunately didn't do anything to change my mind. There was nothing special about the beer and liquor offerings--they weren't bad, but there weren't compelling enough to make me ever want to go out of my way. The employees were friendly, but didn't know enough to answer any pointed questions about specific bottles. Overall, you'll end up with more beer/wine/spirit choices than at your nearby QFC, and the location works out well for many outdoorsy weekend destinations near Seattle. Huge assortment of hard liquor, wine, and beer. Prices are reasonable. Nice set up, hours, and location all good. They have loads of mini-bottles which is great! Some of the mini-bottles are a bit pricey ($4-$7 before tax), but there are others you can get for cheaper. I contemplated getting a raspberry chocolate stoli mini bottle, but decided it wasn't worth the price. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Staff are friendly and around if you have questions. Much nicer setup and displays than they used to have when the state ran all liquor stores. read more

Poor customer service from THE Manager on Sunday, August 5th at the Issaquah Highlands BevMo. On a prior visit I had two Coravin capsules that I had purchased that did not work. I came into the store and worked with a great associate by the name of Brian. He also tried to get them to work and could not. It was agreed that this was a faulty box of two. He said they would order me a new box and that BevMo would replace. I just came in and as Brian was ringing them in he needed to call the Manager for the replacement override. The Manager suddenly stated that was not their policy and I would have to go through Coravin directly for replacements. This made no sense. Brian even stepped up to agree that he told me this. The Manager still said no. Do the right thing with your customers, especially when your associate even stands behind the customer and what they said. They have lost a regular customer in me. Poor decision by the Manager. Didn't care about the customer whatsoever. Many other places that would stand by their associates and customers. read more

Horrible customer service.... I asked them for a coupon that I already have and they were unwilling to apply and instead wanted me to prove. Once I showed them the coupon, he still did some stuff and I was confused why the amount has not gone down. The check out guy was in the rush and did not put the coupon and puts the receipt in bag quickly. I said I'll have the receipt and I said that the coupon did not get applied, no sorry from him and instead just rudely removed items and put them back. read more

This rating is more about a policy than about their merchandise. Went into their Issaquah location today, nice store, friendly people, but here's the rub. Whereas most merchants in Wa state check your ID regardless of your age, BevMo takes a picture of your drivers license. I objected to them making a record of more information than my date of birth, and I was told "all retailers require this", and if I didn't allow a copy of my drivers license, I could not purchase alcohol from their store. No other retailer has this policy that I do business with, Costco, QFC, etc, so out of curiosity, I called the Sate Liquor Board, who confirmed there is no such policy (making a digital copy of a drivers license), but if a merchant wants to do that, i.e. more stringent requirements than those required by the state, they are free to do so. Fair enough, but for me, them requiring more of my personal info than the law requires is an intrusion I am unwilling to accept. read more

You would think a big chain with big stores selling just alcoholic beverages would (a) have an incredible selection of wine and (b) have the best, or very close to the best prices. Neither is further from the truth. I see this company as sort of a SCAM in my opinion getting you to think there sort of a big beverage discount chain with all their deals. While they may have more aisles of wine than the grocery store, they don't have a larger selection because they just have more quantity of each wine sitting on the shelf. Their wine selection and prices are no better than your Local Safeway, QFC, or Fred Meyer. Their prices are considerably higher than Costco for the exact same wines, even if you have a coupon! I get this newsletter that says they are doing Sparkling Wine Tasting and head over there and no, not at my store. And they are actually out of some popular Sparkling Wines on New Year's Eve. Gee BevMo Manager, wouldn't it make sense to overstock your Sparkling Wines leading up to New Year's Eve? I will never shop at a BevMo again. read more

This location is a lot smaller than ones I am used to, although overall I have noticed that WA state BevMo locations are smaller than CA locations. If you want a huge location with lots of choices, I'd check out Total Wine & More in Bellevue. This location is convenient for me though. I have been happy with their selection of wine, and specialty liquors that I am looking for. They also have a good selection of beers for growler fills at about $10, which is very reasonable. The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable too. They have lots of great deals for ClubBev! members including 2-for-1 wine sales, and under $10 WA wines. read more

It's like a candy store for adults. The prices seemed really high. But, hopefully the new Safeway competition will help with that. I do love that they have the little single-shots (even though they were like $5 each). I don't know that I'll be back often, though, especially since I can purchase my alcoholic beverage of choice while shopping across the street. My dream is that someday the price listed on the tag will include the liquor tax so that you don't get shocked when you see a $35 receipt for a $22 bottle of Jameson. My other dream involves mermaids and malfunctioning scuba apparati. But that has nothing to do with this review. So I'll stop there. read more

I love the variety in this store; those that have lived or traveled all over the world can pretty much find that "favorite' whatever you had before or find what you thought you forgot. I have been impressed with the customer service as well. You can find specials in mailers as well, though I will say at times you will pay more here for things you can find at Safeway. Oh man! What a day. I looked like a bad parent as I tried to bribe my grumpy toddler with a drink of Sunkist. As I opened it up it exploded everywhere. While I was scrambling to help wipe up the mess she went around the corner and knocked over a bottle of wine. This all happened within a 50 second timeframe. I really love this Bevmo and I think that is mainly because of Paul. Every time we go in Paul is there and is so dang helpful, often he is the one providing the tastings of beer and wine and he is very nice and knowledgeable. He always answers our questions and we always end up leaving with more than we intended to. The location is nice if you live up in the highlands you can walk on down and do a weekend tasting which is a lot of fun. This Bevmo has def. stepped up their game with customer service. In the beginning it was rough but they seem to have it down now. Staff recognize me even some by name. They have my favorites enjoy by and grapefruit sculpin in stock almost always and have good growler fills. They do have some good rare release but need to ask the staff to bring out from back. I do love their generic tulip beer glass that they sell too. Only complaint is that 4G or Internet does not work at this location just like all bevmo so you can not look up beer ratings or prices so they can price match so have that ready ahead of time read more

I find the staff knowledgeable in their specialty and always engaging with me on a personal level to ultimately deliver a fun experience shopping for these fine things in life. Why anyone thinks they are getting a great deal at BevMo escapes me, especially in wine. The selection is poor to mediocre: it may look like a lot of shelves, but with 4 or 6 of everything showing in front, there really isn't that much to choose from. What is there are familiar widely distributed labels, not the particular items anyone might actually be looking for, except for the labels exclusive to BevMo that are made for them by usually anonymous producers. Yet the prices are the highest in the area, higher than most grocery stores -- even at the "club" price. The "regular" prices are so inflated they can make you gasp. The "2 for One" wines that they convince you are great deals are exactly the opposite: they are wines of typically pretty poor quality that BevMo has bought in huge quantities and paid very little for, given HUGE markups for a "regular" price, then sold for the great "bargain" of two wines for the price of one. In fact, it's just a ploy to require you to buy two bottles of an over-priced wine; if you were able to buy it at any other store, you'd pay less for two bottles, and you wouldn't have to buy more than one! If it's easy to walk to and you don't mind over-paying for the convenience, OK. But anyone who chooses BevMo as the source for their alcohol needs based on selection and cost is a fool. read more

I tried to return a couple items today and found out they no longer give any type of refund or even store credit on a return, unless the item is damaged. Huge disappointment.
