A flat charge could be understandable but it ended up costing an extra 32 dollars. Just absolutely awful. And whatever system they're using doesn't show the check beforehand unless you ask for it so we didn't see the 23 percent fee til after we added tip.

So outside seating wasn't very tempting at the time. Inside, it's the winery which is pretty massive. Mainly their tasting room with the bar counter and loads of seating. Communal tables as well as group tables throughout the property. There's also a second floor which we didn't go up this time. Inside is also a showroom of artworks and trinkets. Different artists showcasing their work, handmade jewelry laid out through the whole place. Displayed items one after the other. This place was happening today with so many people popping in for some wine. I don't know if the event with the band happens often or just during the weekend but it was great. We ended up just staying inside as it was nice and cool. Picked up a bottle of the Tempranillo and made ourselves at home. The wine is quite tasty and nice. You can do a tasting which I believe is three samples. Or if you just wanted a glass that's also offered but we opted for a bottle. Snacks are also available for purchase if you would a charcuterie boards to accompany your tasting. It's very pet friendly as there were so many pups around. They too like to enjoy the party. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Chatting with the people walking in and sitting next to you. It's a good way to make new friends. The place was lively and everyone was there for the same thing. Good company, great wine and a fun afternoon out. With the artwork and all the items display, I don't know if they're there permanently or on rotate seasonally. But walking throughout and seeing everything on display, it was great. If you haven't been, it's worth a stop to have a nice tasting or a glass. A favorite of ours whenever we're in Idyllwild.

The singer was fairly loud and close to the tables, which made conversation difficult. Instrumental music might fit the early dinner atmosphere a little better. They have heat lamps - but temps were perfect (lots of people and hot food warmed everyone up). I wanted to walk around the restaurant. The tiered architecture is interesting. FOOD: High End Vegan!
