I only came to this establishment because of my pregnancy cravings and was met by an extreme racist bartender/hostess I came in to inquire about outdoor seating and I had dog food in a container in my hand (Had my dog in the car). He mentioned I can't eat outside food in here before I can even ask about the outdoor seating I said ok well this is dog food human grade (attempting to explain why it wasn't pellets). He proceeded to tell me it's hot out there, and immediately changed the topic back to the closed container in my hand. I said ok well I have no intentions on eating dog food. He proceeded to repeat himself and say well I don't care you can't eat that here. It's to the point the other patrons not black started to look at him because it was quite outrageous that I had to mention to him more than once it's dog food and I don't eat dog food. My fave buffalo wings in the neighborhood... truly I am addicted. The sauce is spot on and the wings aren't drenched in it, which I like, so it keeps the wings crispy. You might want extra sauce though if you get takeout, just to be safe. I've come here a few times during Covid to get takeout and it never lets me down. I thought my 10 pc was a little too salty. The place is truly NOTHING to rave about. I could have gone to TGIF or Apple bees and had better wings. My friends and I decided to enjoy a Friday evening here in order to catch up! We were all in the mood for something more casual and one of my friends was craving wings so we decided to make the trek here. The restaurant is located off the G line. No need to make a reservation but I'd suggest coming a bit earlier than the usual dinner rush time because the space filled up quick. When it was our time to order my friends decided to go with an assortment of wings while I decided to try their steak sandwich which was recommended by our server as something that would most definitely fill me up. I'm very happy I decided to get this dish because it in fact filled me up! It also came with a hearty portion of fries. Right after I ordered my drink and food, I went to use the rest room, and when I returned to my seat, the curly haired bartender/waitress was going OFF to the people sitting at the bar about how she received a phone call that included a strange element to it. "Dude literally asked me if he can order 200 wings cooked with his semen in it!!! Like his wife cheated on him and he wanted to get back at her!!!" Now I understand that this is a dive bar and it's supposed to be grungy...but I'm just trying to understand why this phone call needed to be publicly told. She said what she said, and I shrugged it off. But every new patron that came into the wing bar got greeted with the story over and over and over again. We get it curly sue. My wings came, and the blonde who delivered my wings just tossed my food on the bar...I said thank you and she just kept it pushing. I figure she was just having a bad day. We are all human. Then I look up from my food to her, and she's just GLARING at me like I killed her first newborn. When I arrived everyone was in the process of devouring bowls of delicious smelling wings and ribs. Good thing I avoided most of this as I am sticking to my diet and that would have been devastating! Still, they have a few things on the menu for us calorie counters. Veggie burger, veggie dog, and a few others. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was quite tasty. The chicken is seasoned, moist, and huge. They don't skimp on the poultry here! Had them skip the mayo and asked for BBQ sauce instead which I feel adds more flavor anyway. Even though it came with russet style french fries that also had a nice seasoning on them I only tried a few and left the rest. Call it willpower, or call me crazy! An order of 20 is usually good for 2 while an order of 50 is good for 4 so you can work your math from there. With that said, they also offer the wings in 4 flavors -- Mild, Medium, Hot or BBQ with a dish of carrots, celery and blue cheese. The drinks are still cheap. You can get a beer for $3-4. You know what else is awesome? You can get 2 of them for the same price before 7pm on a weekday. Oh my god. Before I even came in obviously. Clearly triggered when I dared to asked for a menu when the plastic table sign QR code CLEARLY says "SCAN ME". Yes it's the damn menu boomer! That same plastic sign held a really clear & concise menu for years until not so long ago. Then came the snarky warning that by asking for my wings; which I take naked, be pulled a little sooner because they needn't be Xtra crispy (drier) to take the standard wet toss, that I'll be risking Salmonella poisoning. Take that smart guy!Chucking empty bottles with a 3ft arc into a recycling bin merely 2' from my seat...just for effect & to spray her scent on her sad little domain. Slapping my glass of water down BEHIND my left elbow on the corner of the table then telling me that the oil laden buffalo sauce I received was just so because that's how they 'Cut' the hot sauce to make it "medium". No fucking joke! She seriously said that! Seems true so bad on the owner SMH. Theresa's original recipe utilized butter as the fat, not Admiration soy oil BTW.
