Great place, super sweet guys! Nearly everything on their menu is gluten free. The kung pao beef was tasty, just a bit too salty (for me), but they quickly remade a new meal for me (the sweet and sour chicken was awesome)! My friend and I LOVE this place!!! Formerly Pete's Wok, The Wok offers healthier versions of classic Asian plus Asian fusion dishes. The food is made fresh, entrees all reasonably priced, generous portions and quite frankly delicious! One primary factor we love is that Huang makes almost everything on the menu gluten free. My friend has celiacs disease so she can't eat at most Chinese restaurants. Huang is very knowledgeable about all ingredients and intentionally makes most everything gluten free, so you can imagine this is a regular spot for her! The Wok also regularly features unique egg rolls such as philly cheese steak, Buffalo chicken, Reuben, cheesecake, and more! Probably my favorite thing to get off the menu is fried rice but you can't go wrong! However, know that this is NOT Pete's Wok, the menu is limited, and it's probably best eaten at the restaurant vs being delivered (although delivery is good too!). read more

My fried rice was burned. It literally had pieces of carbon in it. The added tofu was hard and dried out. It even smelled burned. I can't believe that anyone would serve that. I'll never eat their food again. Take a look at the closeup photo I've added and you'll see why I am so outraged. Wong has made it his mission to make food more accessible to the gluten free community. We talked about how many Asian dishes are naturally gluten free besides the unnecessary addition of wheat to most soy and brown sauces. I have been here twice and got gluten free egg-rolls, gluten free Mongolian beef, and gluten free General Tso's!! I haven't had these delicious staples in years. They also have PHO, (gf) hot and sour chicken, (gf) sesame chicken too! Besides the quality ingredients and Wong's tasty recipe's, everyone in there is so kind and proud of the Wok! Not your ordinary Asian restaurant. The chef does an amazing job of taking the freshest ingredients and classic Asian dishes and putting an updated spin on them with all the best flavors. The Drunken Noodles, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, as well as all of the specials that are new creations like the Villy Cheesesteak Eggroll are sooo good. Social media has been absolutely illuminated with photos of what's going on at The Wok, so I grabbed a group of friends to see for myself what all the fuss was about! One step in the door lets you know it's a humble, locally-owned business without all the overhead or bells-and-whistles one might be accustomed to from chain restaurants. The owner, Hoang, has taken over the former Pete's Wok (owned and operated by his family) and brought it into the 21st century with full-on Asian fusion dishes, a giant mural on one wall, and occasional events like music. Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised at the giant portions and equally huge flavors in each of our dishes. Having salivated over it for months now on social media, I ran straight for the Drunken Noodles, which to the naked eye resembles Pad Thai, but keep in mind the 'fusion' here is Vietnamese. I don't know what that means exactly, but all I know is it had chicken AND shrimp, and was much spicier than what my wimpy taste buds normally go for. That said, it was delicious and I'd order it again and again. Also, the shrimp were huge, not pathetic little frozen popcorn shrimp. My friends ordered Shrimp Lo Mein, Moo Goo Gain Pan, General Tso's (described as 'not typical General Tso's, but delicious), and Chicken Fried Rice (enough for 2-3 meals). Everyone was either full and happy, or bursting and wish they'd gotten a to-go box. Aside from the standard menu there is also a specials board, which I'm told is where the magic happens. Maybe next time. :) Definitely don't bring a large group in here, as the space is tiny and there's not a ton of parking. I stopped in because I had heard from a couple of gluten free groups I'm in that this place actually has gluten free options. Having Celiac, I haven't had Chinese in years. This place didn't disappoint! The owner was welcoming and answered all the questions I had. The prices are so reasonable, that I decided to get a few dishes and an appetizer. I got their spring rolls, the Manchurian chicken, and shrimp fried rice. Everything was phenomenal. I'm used to these kind of places using a little less quality of meat, maybe with grizzle in the chicken and the puny cocktail type shrimp. Not at this place! I have such a happy tummy. This place is absolutely amazing! My party shared a bunch of dishes. We had pot stickers, egg rolls, fried rice, bo bun noodles, and fried chicken wings with Mongolian sauce. Every dish was perfection! The owner and staff are very friendly and give top notch service. The artwork and atmosphere are both amazing as well. I hadn't been to this restaurant since it was Pete's Wok, now owned by a nephew. The guys who were working lunch today were congenial enough, but the food was substandard. The sauce I was served with the spring rolls was sickeningly sweet. When I asked for peanut sauce from the menu, I was served something that seemed like Italian dressing with chopped peanuts on top. The meat in the pho was full of gristle, very unappetizing. My husband's beef and veggie dish had similar issues with the quality of the meat. The sanitation score from the health department listed 93 and the violations were posted. Both the kitchen and restaurant were messy and dirty -- and we won't be going back. The idea of an employee folding sticky crab Rangoon pastries while standing next to the cash register seemed especially unhygienic. Finally, if you enjoy very loud music blaring from a Christian radio station throughout your meal, lousy food and a dirty restaurant, this is the place to go. We paid the check and left. When you walk into an empty restaurant that's directly across the street from a busy hospital -- take the hint. read more

I don't think the cooks should be paid to cook. Not until they are able to produce a decent money worthy meal. We ordered a pho, a drunken noodle and a pho-ritto. The pho noodles are over cooked, not one piece of noodle is longer than 2". The broth is plain and flavorless. I had to add salt the waiter gave to us for edamame and with that and some sriracha, I was able to eat maybe 50% of the noodles and left the beef pieces untouched and the soup is muddy from the mushy noodles. The noodles for the drunken noodles are not the right kind of noodles and, you guessed it, mushy too. Different than how typically drunken noodles are, after we ate the top layer of the noodles, there's puddles of soup. I'm guessing it's from when the cook moved the over cooked noodles into the wok where the noodles gets stir fried? Not sure what kind of stir fry it was since there's still noodle soup left. As for the pho-ritto, kudos for the innovativeness but they used the same kind of noodles they used for pho and drunken noodles so.. yep all mushy again. And my husband just learned a valuable lesson that wrapping anything in a flour tortilla doesn't necessarily make it edible lol I also tasted spoiled bean sprouts in my pho, at which point I was worried about getting food poisoning. Overall miserable experience. I don't know if the cooks do a test run within themselves before putting the dishes in front of customers??? I came hungry and left angry. read more

We went here on a whim and let me tell you this is the best whim I've ever had. The egg rolls are some of the biggest I've ever had. The sweet and sour rice with tempura chicken is amazing. My mom got the marinated beef with vitamense rice and she loves it! I will be back again. In my opinion they aren't charging enough for how good their food is. 2 egg rolls and 2 meals came up to 20$ you have got to try this place. You won't regret it!!! read more

This place used to be called Pete's wok I don't know when it changed hands but it must've been recent. Previously I was very satisfied with the meals however today was the first time I've been there since the place changed to the wok. I ordered the Kung pow chicken and it was kind of burnt. The peanuts actually had several black spots all over them from being over cooked or cooked too high of a temperature without proper stirring. Whatever the case to me it seems that the cooks need more training cooking with a wok. Previously the dinner meal came with a spring roll however that is no longer the case while the menu did indicate that I didn't notice it until I took my meal home. Pete always ensure there was a fortune cookie and included chopsticks. You will need to ask for both. I used to enjoy this place and I feel if the quality does not improve at least closer to where it was when Pete ran the place this place maybe in danger of survival. read more
