Walked in lunch hour on a rainy Tuesday. Not too busy. There's a walk up counter with a pretty extensive menu behind the service counter. They offer breakfast all day. And they have some great lunch options also. Along with smoothies. Was greeted quickly and warmly by one of the employees. I needed a few minutes to figure out what I wanted because this was my first time there. I eventually landed on a smoked salmon power bowl and a berry smoothie. Bowl had avocado, hard-boiled egg, perfectly cooked, spinach and quinoa topped with smoked salmon. There was a nice basil sauce on each half of the hard-boiled egg. It was a warm bowl which I was not expecting so it did throw me off at first. I'm not sure if they make the smoked salmon themselves or if they buy it from somewhere. I will have to admit I was not too excited about the flavor of this smoked salmon. But overall, the bowl was delicious. And I thoroughly enjoyed the berry smoothie. One of the reasons why I picked this place is that they allow dogs. They do have outside seating, which unfortunately was not going to work on a rainy afternoon. So I took my food to go as my pup was waiting for me in the car. All of their containers are compostable. I am interested in returning so I can try more of their menu. read more

Two things that will get me to try someplace are recommendations by a friend or family member, or a coupon. In this case, I had both, so double the incentive. I really like this place, both for the food and drink offered, and for its convenience locally to me. It has most of the types of items I would want for breakfast or lunch, the ingredients are fresh, and they're made to order. I enjoy their coffees and teas. I also appreciate that you can buy bagels here in bags of 6, and those bagels are better quality than, and priced competitively with, local bagel establishments (one of which I gave a significantly lower star rating to just yesterday). There's plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy your meal if you don't get it to go. I needed a couple of nudges to come here the first time, that won't be the case from now on. read more

The Works is basically New England's Panera Bread, or what Panera Bread used to be before JAB bought it. They provide healthy breakfast and lunch options. Dinner too if you want sandwiches or salad. If you are in the mood for something basic and healthy then this is a good option. Alot of the key ingredients are locally sourced. Cheese from Vermont, of course. Eggs from New Hampshire and etc. Food is very good, simple and healthy. Portion size is bigger than Panera. Staffs are nice and they constantly clean the restaurant. I was there for 4 hours doing some work, and staff clean the same area twice. Plenty of seatings so I didn't feel too guilty sitting there for so long. read more

Great service! Fresh food! I can't wait to come back! I love the peppery Avocado ranch dressing that came with my Cobb Salad.. Cool atmosphere with outside seating away from the busy Rt 20 traffic. Placed our first to go order for pick up, and it was seamless. I loved the customization available (I ordered a BLT, but replaced the tomatoes with roasted red peppers). Really wanted to like this place and will return again to give it one more shot. I've been to one of their other spots and really liked it. But this one was semi-dirty (tables needed wiping down). The chicken salad sandwich had more sweet potato than chicken salad. I hope they get their act together. read more

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and the staff were very friendly. Was quick and easy and the restaurant is beautiful inside. The food is delicious if you get someone that pays attention to details. Every time we get our take out there has been something deficient with the order. The lastest issue is that a sandwich we got 3 times, which was delicious, was so scarce with the chicken, onions and sauce, it was like eating two pieces of hard toasted dry bread.
