    Nutella crepe

Love that they're open when other restaurants are not during the weekends. This areas a bit of a ghost town during the weekends! Service struck me as unusual. They were *kind of* servicing your tables, but kind of not, because you had to go stand in line like a counter order and pickup situation. They bring you drinks if you pay for them, otherwise, you're on your own to take a hike to the water cooler with the community ice bucket. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very cute, loved the decor! You can tell the owners employed local artists to accomplish the murals in the halls to the restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We encountered a really unusual exchange at the register as the woman kept interrupting my friend in a rude manner saying things like "slow down", "that's not possible", "I take the orders this way, so hold your thoughts". It was very concerning and the register woman continuously cursed the Toast Tab system... which was interesting, because I've used toast tab before and had no issues. Additionally, when drinks were sat down -- this was interesting, they sat one of the alcoholic drinks in front of one of our 15 year old kiddos. I grabbed it quickly and mentioned it had alcohol in it. This led me to be concerned about how well they know who is being served and not served alcohol based on the way they run their business. Okay!! FOOD!!! Let's get into it. We LOVED the food - (didn't like the service.) The savory crepes were to die for!!! They reminded me of a crepe stand I attended in Kildare Ireland. It wasn't wrapped in a to go style manner, but loved it nonetheless. It was light fluffy and full of flavors. The pesto was not oily and was paired nicely with the salad. Our Nutella sweet crepe we all shared - it was really yum. Overall pricing, it was $90 for 4 people to include two alcoholic beverages, meals and 2 non-alcoholic, so around $16/18 for each plate. Based on the service system - you can make your decision whether it's worth it. Service was definitely a -3 and food was a 5.

Chicken Bacon Rancher & Sweet Potato Fries

Okay, I came here after a card-show because this was a place I've wanted to try for a while. I wasn't a big fan of the Chicken Bacon Rancher I ordered because it was overly salty but I finished it because I was just starving. I would say the sweet potato fries were perfectly made though. I think that was the best part of my meal. Service was alright, not too much interaction and it's a walk up and order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior was nice and bright, good place for a brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Such a great spot for everything you could crave! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance in the Skinny Pancake is great, very casual with self seating and ordering at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have lots of local artwork and merchandise for purchase as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the food, they have a great variety of sweet and savory crepes and regular lunch and breakfast as well. We got the sugar shack and the Choco nutty along with the specialty cinnamon French toast latte and it was delicious! The crepes are so well made and come out hot. They did forget my syrup dip but it was still very good. Service can take a bit when it gets busy but well worth waiting for and easily missed if you come during off hours.

Such an amazing restaurant in the heart of downtown Albany. First off, our server was so sweet, even though this is a self service establishment (either order at counter/from phone and sit anywhere), she was extremely attentive in explaining the menu, offering recommendations, and checking in on us throughout the meal. They specialize in crepes here, as well as other breakfast plates. The food is super fresh, you can tell everything is locally grown and made with love! My favorite part of the crepe I had were the FRESH in season apples, tasted great with the sausage and cheese. I personally really loved the pasta salad as well. This is a must try for breakfast in Albany, and I am so happy we chose to eat here for the one morning we had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]love the no frills casual counter service, the cozy and rustic decor/ambiance (they even had couch seating!), and the deliciously fresh and homemade tasting food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] would highly recommend! I hope to return soon :)

If you're look for something savory or something sweet, the Skinny Pancake in Albany has something for you. We stopped in on a Friday morning. It wasn't busy so we were able to go right in and be seated. The server gave us a warm greeting as we entered and asked if we had been there before. She explained the online ordering or that we could walk up to the counter and place our order. The brewed drip coffee is bottomless and self service. They offer lattes and and espresso drinks as well. We placed our order and the server delivered it to our table. We tried "The Vegan" which is a buckwheat batter crepe stuffed with seitan, vegan pesto, vegan cheese, spinach, roasted squash, and caramelized onions. We shared an order of crispy and perfectly seasoned homefries. I ordered a sweet crepe from the special menu which was a buckwheat crepe filled with a blueberry compote, semisweet chocolate morsels, and toasted coconut with candied pecans. It was so rich but so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the numerous plant-based options and ability to convert several menu items into vegan dishes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be back and since we have told so many friends about our experience, will will not be coming back alone!

Absolutely great experience. Eclectic shop with a great selection of food. The mocha was tasty (but could definitely have been served hotter). Poutine was flavorful but small for the price paid. That being said, the pulled pork crepe and the veggie crepe were both phenomenal. Beets and yams side was also small--but I was forewarned. Tasty little treat, it was! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd return again and again because the service was also perfect and the bathrooms were clean and smelled good as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Having never been to Albany, The Skinny Pancake was a great find. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The weather was cold so we were happy to come in to a cozy and inviting atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great and at a good price. The staff was friendly and personable, too.

quick stop to the skinny pancake and it was a great decision! i had the de ja vu crepe and the beet and carrot hash. all of their dressings are made in house (the ranch is to die for), and all the food is sourced as locally as it can be. the ordering style is either up at the counter of via qr code and they bring you the food to your table. it's almost like cafe style but with a tad more service. the hostess was doing everything and was incredible, calm, and professional with balancing everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the spot is very spacious and decorated very retro.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]a great place to catch up with some friends and have a delicious bite to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Shout out to the hotel staff at Town Crowne (1 mile away) for recommending this place. They did not steer me wrong. I went in at about 8:20 where I was greeted by the most pleasant person. She might had have mistaken me for a local or a student ( I have a very youthful face) because she mentioned it looked like I've been there before. After assuring here I hadn't. She gave me a quick rundown of the joint. They have a water station and a bottomless coffee station. You either order by the QR code on the table or at the counter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's rustic beyond rustic and the merch is as so inviting I almost bought one of each.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Maybe next visit. The menu...is everything. The skinny pancake aka the crepe can be customized to your liking OR just order one of their amazing creations. It was really hard to decide what to get but I went with the Deja Vu which I hear is a popular one. It had breakfast sausage, apples, cheddar and eggs. A drizzle of syrup and I was in heaven. I washed it down with an Arnold Palmer. Their tea is strongggggg so the lemonade was a good balance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was such a lovely meal and it was great to be in such a warm and welcoming place before heading I the road.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] P.S. Street parking, which is metered, wasn't terrible at this time but again it was super early.

    Seasonal specials.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fantastic place with lots of seating, friendly staff, great music and delicious food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the early riser crepes which was abundant and fresh made. To go I ordered the winter blues salad for my dinner in my hotel. Highly recommend. Will definitely patronize again when I'm in Albany for business.

    Breakfast Burrito
    Sydney M.

I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was good , but it not all that filling. The salsa was real good but the food was sort of bland. Service was eh. We didn't get seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Whenever the door opened a cold breeze would flow throughout the restaurant no matter how close you were to the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They could've been better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My mother saw a mouse running from the wall to the couch back and forth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will not be coming back

    Kianna W.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small and quaint with an outdoor space this restaurant is definitely a gem within the city.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now due to personal issues I probably shouldn't have ate sweet food but hey why not. The food is ordered either at the counter or via bar code. I went to the restroom and by the time i returned to my table my food was served. Everything is super sweet and tasty, again not good for my stomach at the time but all is well. I'm glad I tried something outside of my comfort zone

Not being from this area we took a chance coming into this restaurant, thinking we could have breakfast for dinner. Nope, we had so much more!!!!!! Sandwiches made with crepes. The Hash Purples. Try it without the dipping sauce. The flavor itself was amazing and burst in your mouth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is relaxed and the employees are so welcoming and accommodating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A definite do over for us

We arrived right when they opened at 10 a.m. and were seated immediately, which was great. We initially considered sitting inside, but the smell of eggs was so overwhelming/nauseating that we opted for outdoor seating instead. The patio was charming and cozy. The service was friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our visit. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. We all ordered the brunch tower, which included a "fruit salad" that consisted of squishy grapes, sour Granny Smith apple chunks, and canned mandarin oranges. The fruit tasted low quality and unappetizing, and I only managed a few bites. I also ordered the bananas foster crepe, which was severely overcooked. The crepe was so tough that I needed a knife to cut through it, and the texture was far from what I would expect from a crepe. Overall, while the service was pleasant and seating was prompt, the food quality left a lot to be desired, especially considering the price point.
