Second stop shop for work boots was a success! I've first seen really old, good reviews from years ago. Didn't think to check the date as I rushed to surprise my boyfriend with an early Xmas present before he clocked out of work. My first mind set was to check out the quality and prices to later compare. That didn't work out due to the owner being pushy. Also the fact that I'm pregnant and was in a rush did not help at all. The cool thing is the owner seen my belly then offered me $20 off. The "hiking" boots by Tegropro is originally sold for $140 plus tax $20. With the discount offer my total was $141 after tax. After I purchased the boots I went back onto Yelp to check more reviews due to my concern of the boot quality. The most recent reviews are horrible! I was so worried! What if I couldn't get a refund?! My mind wouldn't snap out of that thought so I dealt with my guts. Well according to my boyfriend the boots are so comfortable with memory foam. My father bought a pair of boots that were cutting into his foot and they just didn't work out after 4 hours of wearing them. He took them back and asked if he can get them custom to his foot. The owner agreed and sent the boots off to the manufacturer. After getting the run around for THREE MONTHS the owner said he would have the boots in two days and when my father went in the owner admitted to selling his custom boots to another customer even after being paid for said boots. We had to fight for 2-3 weeks just to get our refund back for the custom boots we had paid for. This was my favorite store when the son was running it. Unfortunately, the father has now FIRED THE SON, and removed all the customer service with him. Monday after work I walked into his store to show him the boots I bought 4 months prior. The seem had busted and there was a tear next to the busted seam. He also yelled at me and accused me of cutting my work boot and that it was my fault the boot ripped. He also said that the boots fell apart because I didn't take care of them. The owner tried selling me a pair of boots a size smaller and told me that they would fit if I took out the soles and they would stretch, after a day of having my toes shoved into the toe box and being in pain I brought them back. He exchanged them for a pair I didn't want and they also didn't have any soles. He proceeded to dig in the back for mismatched soles and I gave up and left. Later I discovered the boots had a huge tear on the inside that had been repaired before I bought them. This guy is a joke and very pushy. My father bought a pair of shoes and a pair of boots for $523.15 A YEAR AGO. Every time my dad would go into the shop the owner Fidel would make excuses of why the shoes are not in yet. Then when he would say they're in and my dad would go and try them on and they would not be the right size or even come close to fitting then he would promise again to send them back and get them specially maid to fit my dads foot...A YEAR LATER......and a lot of lies later.... I went into the store to check on my dad's orders. Fidel was extremely aggressive and rude. He would say I was yelling when really he was the one yelling. He would accuse my dad of not calling him and lying when he was the one doing all the lying. The next day I brought my dad in and he tried this so-called shoes that my dad ordered on and of course they were the same shoes he tried on a long time ago and with the wrong size wrong shoe and then made another promise to send them back and have them altered special again and be back in two weeks or he would give my dad's money back...(note: we have this all on voice record). Now a month later I go back to the store to check on the shoes and he's got the same exact shoes and boots he had in the beginning so of course they don't fit. I said my father just wants his money back since you're not able to get the right size boot and shoe like he PROMISED and he went crazy telling me he's not giving my dad his money back and cussing at me and telling me to get out of the store he's going to call the Police......I welcomed him to call the police because he STOLE $523.15 from my dad. And of course he didn't call the police. But I should have! I Went home and started filing complaints with BBB and FTC and now Yelp. DO NOT SHOP HERE!! Literally walked in for the first time today and was looking for a black Ben Davis work shirt. The one I wasn't looking for wasn't there but he insisted on me trying on a bunch of other ones. I enter the fitting room and he still proceeds to hand me more. I proceeded to come back, week after week, and every time it was the same story...come back next week Thankfully I had not paid for the work shirts, and I eventually found some on amazon to order. The jacket was a different story, because I had prepaid for it. After months and months of coming back he eventually gave me my money back in January, almost 7 months later!!! After getting my money back I found a jacket online for half the price, ordered it and had it in 3 business days. I ordered some socks and pants that he didnt have in stock but reassured me they would be in the following week. I live in monterey so my daughter came back to pick them up... nothing Samny said next week, then next week, then next week until almost 2 months my daughter and son in law came in and Sammy told my daughter I came in and we spoke??...(lies, I live out of town!)..said my items would be in the following week. I came here 3 months ago and bought some socks and the owner stated that he had some socks that would last me forever which I laugh at his comment and knew they would only last me about six months. After 3 washes they ripped and I decided to take them back and show him that he was full of it. I came back today and he tells me no pair of socks will last you forever and I told him yeah but 6 months is all I was asking and that didn't even happen.
