Be the first to review this somewhat hidden gem of a music venue and brewery? don't mind if I do!…read more Over my past couple of years of listening to them, Foxy Shazam has evolved into being a band that I really needed to see live. So when I saw that they were playing this random Millersville venue not all that far away I was instantly intrigued, and then I was even more sold when I saw that the venue also brewed their own beer. I also loved that it was a non-Ticket Master venue that used Eventbrite to sell tickets without an insane amount of hidden fees. And when I checked it out it was a hidden gem of a pleasant surprise. Unless you go to Millersville University, the area that the venue is at is one that you might not frequent. But Phantom Power is one of those few other reasons to visit since it delivers a fine assortment of local flavor events and national touring acts. Regular events include things like gothic/industrial dance parties, comedy nights, a Kegs and Eggs weekend brunch event, or just chilling in their outdoor beer garden on good weather days. I would absolutely go to things like these if Millersville was even closer! But on the flip side Phantom Power has also been seeing a good surge of national acts coming through thanks to WXPN taking notice for shows and them just being a fun and reliable space which I'll get to. In addition to Foxy Shazam I've seen big local names like Hop Along and mewithoutyou, indie acts like Delta Spirit and Sondre Lerche, Industrial and Punk bands like Front 242 and Reverend Horton Heat, and WTF WoW shows like Tim Cappello from Lost Boys (I still believe! - https://youtu.be/LpuwcINDHnQ) on their current and past lineup. It kind of reminds me of pleasantly filled memory venues of yesteryear like the Trocadero, only with a better beer list! Once we made our way through the lot to the venue we realized how big it is. Outside of their brunch event, they don't have a menu of their own, but I love the food truck connections they have and really wish I could remember the name of the BBQ truck that had those glorious smoked wings! The on-site brewed beer was as much of a hidden gem as the music venue since we enjoyed IPAs, stouts, pilsners, ESBs, and some other good varieties. The one suggestion I have is that, with a music venue of its caliber that also has a good beer list, it would be useful for them to have more sheld space to leave cups on during a jam-packed show like the one we were at, Foxy Shazam is one of those good energy rock bands that I would have enjoyed without good sound or lighting. But the fact that they had both in spades definitely helped. Now that I know this hidden gem is a success I'm checking their Facebook and Eventbrite pages (they don't actually seem to have their own site outside of those) for eye-catching shows, and you should do the same!

The place was laid off nicely with two levels. The have a bar on both levels. Very small bar food menu. This is not a restaurant. Snack type hot food only. The entertainment tonight I was surprised. They were actually very good. And when I read what they had on their calendar they had some stuff that interest me. Yes this place is geared towards a younger demographic. At least compared to my age..I recommend you check out the web site. They have a lot to offer.I was there for about three hours. I prepaid for my ticket. . It end up being a very inexpensive night of entertainment.

I've driven by their road so many times over the years and never knew they were even there! The outside doesn't scream greatness, but given time I think the new ownership will address that. You can't beat the gorgeous views of Saylors lake and after meeting the staff you can really get behind the folks trying to breathe new life into the place so be patient. They are in the midst of renovating the inside and I look forward to coming back to see the results. Good menu mix of sandwiches and dinner plates. We got seats right against the windows and had a blast on a rain soaked Saturday. We came back for more on a Sunday with friends and had another great experience. The parking lot is big with a deck outside, band area inside, long bar, dining area inside with views along the lake. You can come with kids (check if a bands playing though it can get loud in there) or for any occasion. I would say it's a great place for a date too. Our servers were so kind and quick. The pretzel app was sharable and good, Caprese chicken sandwich (little dry in the middle and sloppy to handle) was decent, French dip was great and my friend loved the meatloaf. They had a local Free Will IPA on tap that was fresh and tasty so I was a happy patron. Menu prices were fair and they have a long list of cocktails. Give them a try. I'll definitely return when in the area. Thanks guys!

It's not every day you can go out and see a bunch of different bands all in one place..The WNTI…read moreSUMMER STAGE CONCERT in Columbia, NJ was just this event. It started on Friday evening 7/15/16 and lasted until Sunday 7/17/16. You could go for one day, or buy a weekend pass.. A daily pass was $25. Weekend pass $50. Bands came from all around. There was Blues like my friends from ABOVE GROUND BAND. there was Rock N Roll like The DOUGHBOYS BAND. There was STEEL GRAVY who were more southern style..There was singer Songwriter DAVE GRIECO and friend IAN FARRINGTON who accompanied Dave on electric guitar, along with Blues Hall of Fame BOBBY LANZA who sang with the WNTI Band. Each day brought something special..Inside the Pavilion was a smaller stage surrounded by tables and chairs. Plenty of room for dancing.. Food vendors were all around.. I tried THE PULLED PORK SANDWICH. It was delicious! It really had a smokey taste to it.. I believe it was $5 or $6 dollars. There was a THAI FOOD TRUCK where you could get a complete meal for $9. There was even a ICE CREAM SUNDAE AND SHAKE vendor..I really liked the fact they kept the prices down .. At the BEER TRUCK was your basic BUD, BUD LIGHT, and domestic drafts. They also had GOOSE ISLAND IPA and STELLA ARTIOS. All the beers were $ 5.00 including the IPAs. THAT WAS A BARGAIN! I enjoyed the GOOSE ISLAND.. The staff was walking around selling bottles of cold water for $1.00. I appreciated that.. What made this event pleasurable was up by the main stage was a huge tent where you could sit and watch the bands... It was an extremely hot day so this was so needed.. Behind this was an opened spaced piece of grass where you could set up lawn chairs and be in the sun. Beyond that was a very large opened air Pavillion which this place is named after. ( WNTI Knowlton Lion's Club Pavillion.) To the left of the main stage was a VIP TENT for musicians and guests..As I walked around I could see vendors of all types selling clothing, hand made cigar box guitars, and jewelry. I bought a custom made tie-dyed bandanna for $6.. It helped keep the sweat off... Everyone was extremely friendly. Security was all in yellow and and continually walking around.. There was a row of Porta Johns. I couldn't believe how clean they were with a mirror and all..(FYI- women hate using these...) As soon as I walked out there was a hand washing station with running soap and water and paper towels.. I really liked that.. Parking was very easy, attendants everywhere, and not a far walk..They even had an area designated for motorcycles. All in all this was a fun event which went over without any problems.. THE WNTI STAGE CONCERT was very well planned.. If they have it next year I will definitely attend..
