The definition of quality pizza. Upside down, right size up, whatever. It's really good. Crust is a bit thin. Kind that droops easy at the tip. Hard to complain about anything else. Antipasto wasn't special in anyway although it gets the headlines here. It's like a bunch of unused pizza toppings with salad underneath. I wouldn't get it again. Atmosphere is great. A sort of dive bar feel on the bottom floor. Families on second floor. It's a little tight upstairs so the screaming babies are hard to ignore. Plenty of space outside too. Service is fine. Our 2 pizzas came out burnt, they replaced the 1, server charged 2 different prices fr the same glass of wine, there were 5 of us so they charged me a 20% fee fr large table which we were never told or did not see on menu or blackboard. I was also charged a 3% fee fr credit card which is a common charge these days. On top of this we gave a 50.00 tip! Very expensive fr pizza and drinks. It is a local restaurant. Very clean and homey. The pizza is cool it's made upside down with the cheese first and sauce last. I got a half and half which was regular and white pizza. For specifics: I online ordered at 3:04pm to which the order said it would be ready at 3:19pm. I arrived at 3:22pm and I live exactly 3min up from the restaurant. My pizza was cold and my pasta was hot, but extremely overcooked and sooo lemony it was almost bitter. Very disappointing for my very first visit. Firstly the pizza was the size of my face for the same $ amount spent at every other pizza joint in Easton, but the other places you get an actual size of a 10 sliced pie. And my angel hair in my chicken francese was sooo over cooked it was literal mush when you picked it up. I called to notify the team that my food was completely inedible, but I was told it was because the pasta sat in the sauce for too long (this is ludicrous). I wasn't given any other means of rectification. Just an apology. And if you didn't know, there's no handicapped accessibility. I had a stroller since I had my very small child with me and no means to get up to the host stand where orders are picked up. read more

Colonial is truly one of my favorite places to go in the LV. The pizza is phenomenal and their salad is something i crave. I think their food is better at the actual place than their take out but we still consistently get it. Sometimes they seem to be short staffed but regardless their waitresses are on top of it and friendly. Inside there's a bar on the bottom and on the top floor it's a small cozy restaurant. Oh wow, I've been eating at the Colonial since 1975 and it is not the same at all! What was their unique sales proposition???? The Anti Pasto with shredded lettuce. What do they offer now??? Barely cut through iceberg, come on how hard is it to shred, you must still have the machine!!!! Not only did it smell fantastic when I first opened the box, but it also tasted like a cheese lover's dream. The tomato sauce was the perfect amount. Being from NJ, I was apprehensive about trying this place but this has quickly become my go-to spot for pizza in the Lehigh Valley... to the point that I have ordered this pizza at least 6 times. When I grew up and lived here, I think I went to this place 2-3 times in 20 years. Now I've been to it twice in the last year. It is NOT traditional NY style pizza, but it's great pizza. We got their traditional pie and a pink pizza that had balsamic and vodka sauce, both were excellent. We had a very large Caesar salad that was delicious, and everyone that ordered pasta was extremely pleased; eggplant rollatini, pasta marinara, and chicken marsala would all be highly recommended. The chicken marsala was very good, but a little different than typically served. It had a lighter colored sauce, but was still very good. The four star comes from service. We did have a party of 9, and although our server was nice enough, she couldn't handle the number of tables she had. She was busting her behind, but the place got very busy and she had inside and outside tables. We waited long periods (15-20 minutes) for drinks, parm, and napkins. They need more waiters. read more

This is now our third time here and I'm upset that I haven't left a review yet! It has been The Colonial Pizza and Spaghetti House, An Easton Landmark, since 1947. When you walk in there's a downstairs bar area, and up the stairs is a family dining area with about 10-14 tables. This restaraunt is known for there signature pizza , famous colonial pizza, which is a upside down pizza. The pizza is with mozzarella on the bottom and the sauce on top! It sounds strange but you have to try it, and once you do you'll come back! I've also had there chicken parmigiana here and wow they do not slack on the chicken! My wife has had the shrimp scampi and said it was great too! She also had the chicken Francese and said it was in her too 3 of all time! For this visit we had Fran who was an amazing server! We made it easy and got Hot Chicken Wings and the Colonial pizza with Pepperoni! The wings came out shortly and they were steaming! Once getting into it, the heat wasn't too hot but on a scale of 1-10 about a 6.5, these wings were from a chicken who was well fed! They had a lot of meat on them and the sauce was a great flavor and texture to them! They come in an order of 8 also! Our pizza came out once we wrapped up the wings and it looked sooooo good! They didn't hold back on the pepperoni which is even better! Believe it or not we got thru half the pizza and we were stuffed! But best believe it will make a great snack later! All through the meal Fran was very attentive and kept an eye on our drinks and if we needed anything! I enjoy coming here and this has become one of our favorite spots in Easton! read more

We came here with four adults and a toddler on a Saturday night for an early dinner. They don't take reservations which was fine. The restaurant has been around since 1942 and is a few blocks off of the square in downtown Easton. We walked in, sat down right away, and were served immediately. The dining room upstairs was warm and cozy and the bar downstairs looked the same. We ordered a round of drinks and apps and then ordered dinner. My wife and I split the small antipasto salad. It was huge! The menu said serves 2-3 but we had two bowls each. The signature wings were delicious and so were the mozzarella sticks. We also ordered the Colonial pizza and the Jersey pizza. Both were delicious! I love the reverse or "grandma" style pizza. We would love to dine here again and try other pizzas. read more

Finding good pizza in Pa is not as easy as one would think. Growing up with NJ pizza has made me somewhat of a pizza snob so I'm always on the lookout to try a new place. A good foodie friend of mine recommended Colonial Pizza and Spaghetti house to me (Thanks JL!) she said the white pizza was the best. So I decided I would try it for my birthday dinner. Five of us went in on a Sunday around 6pm. We were greeted and seated immediately. Right away you notice the decor. It's very quaint and cozy, almost like a speakeasy. It's family friendly too. We ordered the upside pizza they are famous for, a Rory pizza and a normal cheese pizza. My daughter also ordered a buffalo chicken sub. The pizzas were all great! Very hard to choose a favorite they were all so good. The sauce is perfect too. The buffalo chicken sub was actual chicken cutlets, buffalo sauce, lettuce and tomato with ranch (substituted for the normal blue cheese is comes with) unfortunatley we didn't get to try the white pizza but we will definitely be back just for that and other pizzas. The pizza at Colonial It's very good. They have many combinations of pies, It's definitely a unique Pizza!! I've been going here for years, I don't usually dine in. Sometimes I do and I like sitting down in the bar area, it's quite cozy and unique. The pizza is always top quality And very good. Haven't tried too many other dishes there because I love their Pizza so much. My only complaint is when I had their Antipasta, I don't like finely cut or chopped lettuce which is what they do there. Lightening Strikes Twice! We were here a week ago by chance and had a great experience. We came back last Saturday to see if our experience would be consistent. We were not disappointed. We started with the small antipasto which is plenty for 3. My wife tried the Creamy Italian dressing and said it was good and I stuck with the oil and vinegar. It was as good as last time so this will become a regular for us. We ordered a 1/2 White - 1/2 Red Pie which we had last time and the crust was crisp and the pizza itself was very tasty. We ordered a Chicken Parm over pasta and Rigatoni with Meat Sauce. Again, the chicken was so tender you could cut with a fork and the Pasta was al dente as it should be. The meat sauce is real good and I will have again. We ordered Cannoli and Zeppoles for dessert. The Cannoli were fresh and the Zeppoles were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It was a great experience and what made it even better was Juliana. She took care of us from the moment we came in. She was nice, knew the menu well, and efficient as it comes. As it became busy she was flying around the dining area. As busy as it got, She never stopped checking on us and taking care of our needs. Colonial is lucky to have her. Again, I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area and even if it's a little drive, it will be worth it. read more

We decided to stop here after spending the afternoon at the Crayola Experience. The walk from Crayola took about 5 minutes. When we got there we placed an order to take out at the bar. I didn't venture too far in but I am pretty sure the second floor is a more formal dining room and the bottom floor serves as the bar. While we were sitting outside looking at the menu I asked a person leaving with 2 kids to make a recommendation and she was really excited to offer up some suggestions. We ordered the original Colonial pizza, which has the cheese and then the sauce. This was her recommendation and it was good. We also ordered a side of meatballs, which I really enjoyed and a chicken cutlet parm hero, which was also good. I recommend all three of the selections we made. Altogether this was a nice experience. The bartender was chill and after waiting inside for the food I noticed that the setting was very welcoming as well.
