Soto Santi's is the best place to go if you want to catch the feel of the locals on the South Side of Bethlehem with a taste of Lehigh University College students and a hint of outta-towners. It's just a great vibe and I met the other a few time Anthony and he is a really down to earth guy that will have no problem talking to you and might just have a beer with you. The prices for food and beer are unbeatable and there is nice and cozy seating areas outside. Service is great! The bar tenders are just beautiful and very good at what they do and as for the food, I have not had anything that was bad there. It was all really really good but their pizza, I would say it's up there with a very few of the best in the Lehigh Valley and that includes all of Easton, Allentown, and Bethlehem. read more

A little disappointed, came here for a pizza, was not that great. There are other pizza places near by but the are pizza shops with no bar and I wonted a beer. Learning is that if you want a pizza go to a pizza shop. I am from here and live in NC now where the pizza is lacking. NY,NJ, PA, MA etc. Is the NY style pizza area, sorry if you disagree. This wasn't terrible but I was expecting something else. Nice little bar, open til 2 on Sunday, I would come back but to eat a steak sandwich or something like that. Worst sports bar I've ever been in! Limited on drinks ... terrible menu and you can't watch sports in here unless you spend money the whole time you're in here! They're lucky I don't make them social media famous with this terrible service!!! Literally minding my business watching the game and because I don't want anything off this terrible menu then it's you can't sit in here .... Lol it's a sports bar and I came to watch sports .... I can't speak for the regular line-up of food, but the gluten-free pizza was awful. It's hard enough to find restaurants when you have Celiac Disease, but when you're met with pizza sauce that's basically a salt lick with pale cheese, it's just not worth it. While my GrubHub order was ready for pick-up, there were two patrons sitting in the restaurant and I had to disrupt a waitress' texting session to find out where the order was; there was an old man drinking a can of beer in the vestibule, and a guy who looked like he was an extra from "The Fifth Element" folding pizza boxes. When I was told which counter had the takeout orders, a busy cook from the back basically threw the box at me. I can't ever see giving this place a second chance, but perhaps if you're three sheets to the wind, the food tastes good. read more

Service here was awesome. You walk in and you are part of the family. My friend's brought me here over thanksgiving and while the service was awesome- the food and drinks were just standard. It's an interesting spot; because I'm use to bars as opposed to restaurants having karaoke. The people were nice, but it's not really my type of joint. 3/5 read more

I wanted to give an update to my previous review because we actually went to Sotto Santi this time instead of having it delivered. Some of the other Yelp reviews made it sound like it was going to be an ungodly hellhole, but we are delighted to report that was not the case. We were there initially at about 7 pm for dinner. Even though a sign was up asking us to go to the bar to place any food orders, the waitress/bartender came to our table promptly upon sitting down. We ordered drinks and a the veggie pizza with red sauce and vegan cheese. The bar/restaurant itself isn't huge, but it is a fine size. The bathrooms are decently clean for bar bathrooms. They have Great Lakes Brewing Company on tap with some other decent guest taps--a very decent beer selection. The pie was delicious--piping hot with a great variety of fresh veggies on it. The rest of our table service was prompt and friendly. I wanted to give an additional shout out to the people of Sotto Santi because we ended up losing our car key outside of the restaurant and being stranded there for several more hours. Everyone in the bar (employees and patrons alike) were so kind and helpful in first helping us search for the key and then helping us stay comfortable while we waited for someone to drive in from NJ to come to our rescue. We ended up ordering another pizza a few hours later--again, delicious. We were leaving just as they were firing up for Sunday night karaoke--I was bummed we couldn't stay. read more

Follow-up to review of 5/5/2013. I've been back a few times and was pleased at all times. Went back for lunch yesterday, and found ourselves pretty disappointed. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza, which I adore and was so looking forward to, was swimming in the buffalo chicken sauce. On previous occasions, the sauce was drizzled on. The overabundance of sauce made the pizza soggy and killed any other flavor nuances. Really disappointing. Cook was arguing with his girlfriend (who looked like a very unpleasant person), and maybe he was distracted, but wth? If you're going to argue with your significant other in the restaurant, do it in the kitchen, not in front of the paying customers. So disappointed. On a positive note, the stromboli was priced at $5.00 as a Friday special, and it was very good. read more

I have to make a second review. This is becoming my favorite place on South Side. Better burgers than McGrady's (faster, juicier). Pizza is fantastic sober and drunk, staff is very nice and attentive. Drink selection is good. I enjoy supporting this bar and its business, they have won me as a repeat customer. read more

My girlfriend and I went to Sotto Santi last night for dinner and really liked it. The pizza is definitely the best in Bethlehem, and the prices are great. We were able to get 2 slices each with toppings, a pitcher of Coor's Light, and fries for $20 including tip. Our waitress was very friendly, and we really liked the place. If you're getting slices, it's $1 for cheese slices, plus 40 cents extra per topping. Their specialty slices are $2.95. Pizzas start at $6 for a large cheese and go up from there. We'll definitely be going back, and it's unlikely we'll be going to Lehigh or Campus Pizza again. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I've only been here twice. The first time, I came with my boyfriend, and we stood near the doorway for at least five minutes waiting to see if someone would seat us. Staff walked by us multiple times and the bartender caught our eye but we were completely ignored by all of them. Sick of being ignored, we eventually just left. My second Sotto Santi experience was better. I came with a group of four other people and we wanted to get strombolis to split. The waitress assured us that they were huge, so we got two mediums. The strombolis were as long as promised, but SO thin! It was really barely any food. We were still hungry afterwards so we ended up ordering more food. It was all pretty delicious, though. All in all, I would probably give Sotto Santi another try. The food was good, and other than that first time, the service was pretty good too. Also, I believe there was a $6 large pizza student special on the menu a certain night of the week that sounded like a really good deal. read more

Pretty good ratio of cheese to sauce to crust on their pizza (although the crust was a little thin for my taste -- but then again I'm a west coaster so I just don't get this northeast craze for thin crust), and a large beer selection. They have special deals every day of the week as well as happy hour specials There's a decent amount of seating and a patio area for when it's not freezing outside. I was walking around southside today looking for a place for lunch as I was up near the post office on 3rd st. Deja Brew - had a line 4 ppl deep Goosey - packed as usual (now these places are good quality as you know and fine establishments and dont need my endorsement) but Sotto Santi... I was not shocked by how empty it was (had like 4 dudes at the bar a couple eating) but by how delicious the meatball parm was: soft roll, covered in cheese and sauce and italian seasoning or some kind of ground up leaves from italy of florence or wherever - who cares what spice it was the friggin sandwich was great~! apparently on tuesdays it's $4.oo sandwich day? i'm not saying i had a beer during my lunch break, but if i did i would have chosen the Dogfishhead Pumpkin beer, man oh man that WOULD HAVE been good during my lunch break today. and the owner was there, if you like italian films or more specifically italian mobster films you will enjoy eating here - he's straigh out of goodfellas (no so much with the stabbing and shooting but more like he has the accent down.) he's as entertaining as the 2 flat screens they have. place was dark but has windows and outside seating so it's the kinda place u go for atmospherey gabbing and all that but if you want good food, and good beer that u probably should not drink if you are intending to go back to work for the day then i can recommend this place. hmmm...i'm remembering that the fries were nothing special next to the meatball parm and i cannot comment on this place outside of lunch hours, but get your next italian lunch there~!! read more

I ate in a few times when this place was still called Casa Mia. The waitresses were very good looking, but most of the time, that was all that was good about their service. They tended to be rude, inattentive, and sometimes gave you dirty plates without checking them first. Only once was my service any good. So the four star rating is for their food only. Their pies are unquestionably the best amongst the South Bethlehem pizzerias. And if you're a student, you can get either a plain or white (with fresh garlic if you want) for only $6. One of the best deals out there. EDIT: They DO have slices available, for only $1.35. They were only okay - the dough was lacking, and the sauce was on the sour side. I may have to try their pies and slices again before I make another judgment call. EDIT: I tried the slices again, and I'd say the pizza is a no go. It's just not as good as it was before. I'm sticking with the 4 stars, because their veal parmagiana sandwich was delectable: good sauce, nice meat, and it uses some nicely toasted garlic bread. read more

Pleasantly surprised to find a nearby pizza place with vegan cheese available. My friends and I split a half cheese half pineapple pie and it was awesome! It might have been the best vegan pizza I've had to date. Very well priced too! We'll definitely be back. read more

I had a terrible experience there today. I always loved going to Sottos and grabbing a slice or two because it reminded me of your NY pizza. However, I went in today and the pizza looked like it was sitting for a while. I asked the guy making the pizzas (older white male) how long it had been sitting there and he had the audacity to tell me "3 days". I could not tell if he was joking or not and after asking him multiple times whether he was kidding or not. He told me " Why dont you go somewhere else?" The one thing I missed when I went vegan was pizza. In Jersey, it's almost impossible to get vegan pizza unless you make it yourself. I was so happy to see these guys carry vegan cheese (I'm betting it was Daiya). I originally ordered an eggplant parm, but the guy in the kitchen quickly pointed out it was coated in egg prior to breading it. Nice catch! I didn't even think about that! They were super accommodating and wound up making me a couple of Sicilian slices covered in veggies and vegan cheese. It was fantastic! Drinks were good. Service was super nice.
