Drawn in by signs advertising £10 lunch special, we stopped for lunch at this very British pub named for the Famous architect, Christopher Wren. After a day of sightseeing, we loved the comfy seating and beautiful traditional decor.
Oren, our server, was friendly and attentive. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time.
I ordered the Fish Finger Sando. The fish had a great crispy coating, but there was not much fish (mostly batter). The bread was fresh made and tartar sauce good.
My husband had the Cumberland Sausage Sando, which was a fabulous sandwich. The generous portion of Cumberland sausage was delicious. The onion dipping sauce was excellent.
The triple fried chips were thick cut and very good.
This was a great lunch for a reasonable price in the heart of London. There was a 12% service fee added to the bill. read more
