Kept me waiting over 2 hours for a lawyer whom i did not even get to see in person. I drove over and hour there and over an hour back before I realized they SPELLED THE ACCUSED'S NAME WRONG on one of the papers!!! When I confronted them about this, they suggested i file this paper to the district attorney WITH THE ERROR. Or that I should make the 3 HOUR DRIVE TIME for them to fix THEIR mistake. I am livid. I doubt they will rectify this in any suitable way. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

From my first conversation with the attorneys, I felt like they genuinely cared about helping me understand the process. They listened patiently, explained everything in a way that was easy to follow, and made sure I knew what was happening at every stage. I never felt rushed or left in the dark. What I appreciated most was how responsive and professional they were. Whenever I had questions or concerns, they took the time to answer them thoughtfully. Their steady guidance helped ease a lot of the stress my family and I were experiencing. While I hope I never need legal services again, I'm thankful I found a team that treated us with respect and handled our case with care. Overall, I had a positive experience and would recommend them to anyone looking for experienced attorneys who truly value their clients.

If you are considering hiring this attorney for a criminal defense case, I encourage you to do…read moreextensive research and speak with multiple former clients before making your decision. As an outside observer, I watched a family spend approximately $2,000 expecting communication, advocacy, and guidance during a serious criminal matter. Instead, they encountered repeated communication problems, poor professionalism, and a lack of confidence that the client's interests were being prioritized. The client was incarcerated and was told he could contact his attorney whenever needed. According to the family, calls frequently went unanswered and requests for communication were often ignored. Multiple requests were made for the attorney to visit the client in jail. One explanation reportedly given was that he did not want to come to the jail and wait an hour to meet with the client because it "wasn't worth it." For a family paying for legal representation, that statement alone was deeply concerning. The client wanted to pursue a bond reduction and release. A bond hearing was canceled, and later requests to revisit the issue were reportedly declined. The family was left confused and frustrated about why opportunities that were important to the client were not being pursued. There were also concerns about major case decisions being made without proper communication. Hearings were reportedly changed without notice, and a trial date was scheduled despite the client's desire to explore alternatives before proceeding to trial. What stood out most was the attorney's treatment of the family. During phone conversations, family members were reportedly yelled at, spoken to with profanity, told that the client was going to jail and that there was nothing that could be done, and had calls abruptly ended. Regardless of the facts of any case, clients and their families deserve professionalism, respect, and honest communication. The family ultimately terminated the representation and hired new counsel because they had completely lost confidence in the attorney-client relationship. Based on what I personally observed throughout this situation, I would not trust this attorney with the defense of a friend or family member facing serious criminal charges.

The case materials were not organized, and I ended up presenting all of the supporting documentation myself. After the unfavorable ruling, I raised concerns about the level of preparation and asked about next steps. I was initially told he would not be moving forward with the matter. When I requested a refund of the $500 fee due to concerns about the representation, the response I received included statements such as "Go for it" and "Not going to be extorted for fees." While I understand that outcomes cannot be guaranteed, professionalism, preparation, and communication matter. Based on my experience, I would have expected a higher standard of representation.

My experience with Barbieri Law Firm was deeply disappointing and, frankly, infuriating. While…read moretheir intake process is polished and designed to impress, it quickly became clear that this firm is far more focused on maximizing billing than on delivering meaningful legal results. At the beginning, they present themselves well. The initial contact was friendly, empathetic, and persistent with follow-up calls and texts. Looking back, this felt less like genuine concern and more like a well-rehearsed sales tactic. Once you sign on, the tone and priorities change. I was charged what I believe to be an excessive amount for my case. After the initial work was done we were just waiting for a court date and I was billed repeatedly for "weekly case reviews," internal discussions, and routine emails to the court asking whether a date had been set. These reviews went on for months despite the fact that there was virtually nothing to review. When I objected to the nonstop billing for redundant work, I was met with zero empathy and given the same canned response: this is how we work cases. Only when I threatened to fire them did they suddenly find a way to "scale things back." That restraint lasted about six weeks before the billing machine ramped right back up. After seven months of paying thousands of dollars with absolutely nothing to show for it, I finally terminated their services. Even then, they charged me an additional $1,800 just to close the file--despite the case going nowhere and still having no court date. If you have unlimited funds and don't mind paying for busywork, this may be the firm for you. Otherwise, consider this a warning. I am not alone in this experience, and I strongly urge anyone considering this firm to look elsewhere and not be fooled by the polished front they put on.

Get used to waiting on him and getting no responses at all if you make the horrendous decision of hiring him. Does not fight for you and is only looking to extort you for your funds while doing no work for you. Huge waste of money. Many times my case was pointlessly reset for his own personal reasons, whether that's leaving you in the courtroom so he can go to his son's band concert, or go practice some martial arts. It is actually a joke the "services" this lawyer will provide. While you are facing the hardest time in your life in the court room he will not explain the process and instead tell you "he has to speed this up so he can make it to a personal event". His clients are not his priority. Getting paid is. If it is your first time in the criminal justice system like it was for me, stay far away from this man. He will look at you as just another statistic. I'm sure he'll take this review down soon instead of replying to it, as he knows I'm not lying and he would like to continue making money while doing little to no work. He is exactly the lawyer that perpetuates the archetype of the selfish lawyer.
