Some random night we were on Facebook and decided to book tickets to see Troy Ramey perform. Did we know who that was? No. But we thiught why not. A. He is fabulous. Let's just say that. Since we were going to the show, why not go for dinner? I mean we have never been. Love that you can book reservations online. Super easy to get through the gate and it has amazing views. We were greeted by the host who was so kind. The place was super busy, I assume due to the show. So, we had to wait about 10 minutes. Table right in the middle of action... 1 min... 2 min... 7 minutes no greeting nothing and a woman walks by and says she will be right us. Cool. Thanks for letting us know. Walks past us 4 more times and nothing. The good thing is clearly someone else noticed and brought us water and said she was helping while the server got caught up. Okay. Everything will be OK. Whole ordering our drinks the server took over. Ordered drinks. App and 2 entrees. Then she was gone. 30 minutes after seating... nothing. Not even drinks yet. 32 minutes... she brings my husband's can of beer. No glass. No manhatten. She says they are working on mine. After 32 minutes (at least 20 minutes after ordering our drink)... can we have a glass? 5+ minutes later she brings me my manhattan... in a wine glass? Before I smell it I ask if its a manhattan because it looked like wine (damn good pour). Her response... I don't know. Never had one before. And still no glass. A. The Manhattan was fabulous and a ridiculously amazing pour. And for the cost... damn. Thats amazing. We decided she never rang in our drinks. Its the only thing that makes sense. It had really quieted down and the bartenders were working hard. And thats fine. But own it. Another 40 minutes and she stopped by once. Said our food was coming. But honestly haven't had a server who seemed to care less about her table in quite a while. Food came about 45 minutes after ordering. We ordered the Philly egg rolls... flavor was awesome. But they were cold. Clearly they had been sitting... for a while. Literally the cheese had melted onto each other and cooled. The entrees came at the same time. Smash burger and chicken fried chicken. Both honestly really good. The mashed potatoes were cold though... not sure if its because they werent kept warm in the prep station or if our plates just died waiting on server. Flavors were good though, including the gravy and fries. Good seasoning. We asked for ranch. Can you believe she never brought it? Nope us either. Seriously. The service was the worst we had in a while. It seemed exlusive to our table/server. I finally got her name at the end... Leandra. I am not trying to put her on blast everyone has a bad night. When my husband asked about the ranch. She said oh I forgot that too.. no apologies for that or the entire night. I said well it has been a rough night... she said yep. Here's the check. We are super nice... lots of grace... but this service made me almost want to not return. But... this is a small business trying to create something for our community. So im going to return oncs more and score is based on potential. But please owners.... staff is hard to come by, and maybe it was a rough night... but no one will survive if 30 minutes with not even drinks and cold food is acceptable. Its a beautiful space, flavorful food and great energy im very hopeful. read more

Excellent brunch menu and ok service. Plates came dirty at first then my son got it right. It's ok place, could have been the best brunch in Rockwall. Needs lots of effort. Overbooked on Mother's Day Brunch. Not enough staff. On of the manager looked he had a rough night, maybe a hangover. read more

We had hoped to enjoy this spot as we live quite close. The service was so terrible, the wait staff seemed like they didn't want to be here and the waitress ignored us for an hour. She began serving a larger party that came in 45 minutes after us without acknowledging our table. There were a total of 4 tables outside so it's not busy. It wasn't until another waitress came up to us and asked if we had been helped that we got to get water and put in our order. read more

Went for brunch on Sunday. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Will go again.

We had high hopes for 501@theyachtclub, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. Parking was inconvenient--we had to park at the very back of the lot and walk a considerable distance to the entrance (there was no valet). Despite making reservations expecting a nice spot for Valentine's Day, we were seated in a small downstairs room where the decor and tables felt more suited for a sports bar and the tables were super close to each other. To make matters worse, a live band was playing so loudly that we couldn't have a conversation across our small table. While this might be a good fit for those looking for a lively atmosphere, it wasn't what we had in mind. And we were seated for 15 mins and no one came to our table. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving and I wouldn't return. read more

This was our first time to visit since we thought it was a private club but found out it was open to the public so we decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the staff and directed to a table on the patio overlooking the lake. Our server was polite and knowledgable. She suggested the Grilled Salmon for my wife and Smash Burger for myself. When the food arrived we dug in. Everything was delicious! Tops off to the chef! It is a true lakeside gem. It was very nice. Food was standard service priced, just too expensive for what it was. Would recommend going for drinks and apps on the patio downstairs. Wine was good overpriced as well but alcohol is probably the only way this place will stay open. Would go back for an app and a drink but $18 for beer cheese pretzels does not make sense. read more

In my opinion, this newly remodeled nautical 22,000 square foot venue overlooking the lake, beach, marina and Olympic size pool with outside seating and great staff does not get enough praise. The decor is breathtaking enough to be the choice of many brides planning their special wedding / reception. The seafood, chicken and steak meals are great but my favorites are: shrimp tempura tacos, pretzel bites, club sandwich and "The Classic Hamburger". The laid back, cozy yet elegant environment is sure to please even the pickiest guest. read more

This place seems to be a hidden secret but that's ok with me :) As usual, I enjoyed my experience at Chandlers. This restaurant was also recommended as the best waterfront dining place in DFW. There weren't too many vegan options but I made it work! Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. I ordered the salad and sweet potato fries and salsa chips. The rest of the group had a Cesar salad and salmon as well. The view is incredible! I just wish I knew about this place growing up in the 90s! read more

The general manager of the yacht club Ky was amazing. she help facilitate our reservations to ensure that my father-in-law who is going to have surgery was taken care of. She provided a picture of the location in advance so that I knew there was not going to be too much sun and plenty enough shade. The food was good, the fireworks were in a perfect position for us to see in the entire night was very nice we will do this again!. read more

Had a girls night here on a Thursday evening with a group of 6. Love the renovations and nautical decor...we were there during sunset which was beautiful over the lake. I know they're just getting up and running so I gave 4 stars We all felt like the Servers need more training on the menu, food and drink. This is the first thing to being successful from the start and people expect it. I had the crabcake sliders. They were really good, but I'd prefer a crabcake entree, which they removed from the menu. We ordered the loaded brisket fries for an appetizer and it actually showed up after our entrees. We tried to cancel it but our server more or less ignored our request and it was brought out by someone else. They basically went uneaten. All in all, we will return and give it more chances. I'd like to try the brunch. We had no idea it was Taco Thursday....it would have been nice for someone to have mentioned that to us. Deals on margaritas and tacos. Our daughter and her fiancé have chosen this venue for their wedding later this year, so we wanted to visit and enjoy dinner. The views are breathtaking, but the food is also delicious. The coconut shrimp was the best thing we tried, but the truffle fries and tater tots were great too. The club was tasty and the sliders did not disappoint. We will be back! read more

So, we live right down the street from this place, and I decided to take my wife somewhere new, as we're always looking for something close to Heath. I can't review the food nor the drinks, unfortunately, because we were never waited on. The hostess directed downstairs because they were finishing up brunch in the main restaurant. There were about 8 people at the bar, and none sitting, so we grabbed a table right by the window. The bartender never acknowledged us, nor even looked at us. A waitress walked past us a few times, and she never even looked at us, so we just left. It's about 3pm on a Sunday so the reason is not because they were busy. I'm really disappointed because we dine out a lot, and the 2 restaurants near Heath are getting really old. We do HH at the Hilton bar quite a bit and I was hoping for a good experience here as it's close to the house. read more

Inside a gated community but no big deal getting in. Just tell the guard you're to the restaurant. Turn left and just a bit further 1/4 mile ? On the left is your destination. Beautiful place tho not as beautiful as it once was for my tastes. Spartan Nautical is how I would term it. At the bar the drinks are nice and strong and the beers are cold. The hamburger and French fries were really good and really fresh, earlier I tried some sort of plated entree but it was average at best, I don't remember what it was. The views and the ambiance are very nice, you look out over the yacht club and in the distance you can see the Dallas skyline and the lights. Such a fun spot for date night! We came on a Thursday so not quite as packed as Saturdays when they apparently have live music. The environment is upscale ambience but everyone is dressed casual and while the food is delicious...I feel like that the food doesn't quite match the fancy interior. We had the best server John who was wonderful and made great recommendations. It's in a gated community so most everyone is a resident but it's open to the public. Looooooved the moderately priced bottle of wines. We had brisket nachos, salad and the chicken friend chicken. If we went again we would probably just stick to the apps burgers and small plates. I think this place has wonderful potential but not quite the upscale dining it's interiors aspire to be. Great for bar food, sunset and casual nautical ambience. read more

I'm sure it's lovely but I never got to come inside. Had my boat about 300 meters from the joint. Called the restaurant. "I'm on my boat just offshore of your restaurant, is there any slips available." Placed on hold. "May I help you." Hi, I'm 300 meters in the waters off of your restaurant and would like to dine at your establishment. "Parking lot is just outside." I'm in my boat. "Oh sorry, call Chandlers marina." I did. No slips for dining. Move on. Don't waste your time if you're on your boat. read more

Service & views were great. Restaurant's beautiful. But the food left a bit to be desired. Bbq chicken flatbread was decent. I ordered tempura shrimp tacos, but they said they were out of tempura shrimp. Didn't really enjoy the loaded brisket tots. Basically late night bar food. And the only thing hot about the "hot" honey chicken sandwich was the temp. It actually contained no flavor. I think they might've drizzled on some honey. But I barely tasted any sweetness, let alone heat. The drinks were decent. Loved the lake water. Lastly I was a bit disappointed to be charged $5 for 5 pineapple chunks that equated to no more than 1 pineapple ring. Seemed a bit excessive. read more

Beautiful views while you eat! They had a limited menu in the Saturday morning we were there but the food was fabulous! My husband said the steak with his steak & eggs was better than a lot of steak houses he's been to around here. Staff was very friendly, and prices are very affordable, too. The renovations are great and you couldn't ask for a better setting.. right on the water! Excited to spend more time here during the summer.

Not a fan of the remodel. Looks and feels empty. Lots of ikea looking furniture that is uncomfortable. Wish they kept the old vibe or went head first in the other direction. Feels very undone and cafeteria/ apartment lobby inside. Too bad. Septic smell throughout was also very off putting. read more

Absolutely the worst food, And I'm talking a salad and a flatbread. First time here, just moved to the area. They put jarred spaghetti sauce (Prego) on my husband's flatbread and my Mediterranean salad tasted like freshly mowed grass... Like 5 cherry tomato halves, 2 artichokes, minimal feta cheese and the Greek dressing is a lot of cheap "olive oil" ... And $21 for a 3 oz Kettle One martini... Won't ever be back and will not ever recommend. You are paying for the shitty view... Got to watch people at the Club pool that don't belong in a thong suit.
