I have only one thing to say about Dudley's bar and grill, excellent people, excellent service, these people went out of their way even though, I wasn't even their customer. I fell in the parking lot, wasn't even their responsibility. It wasn't their fault, but their staff, was more than helpful, made me feel like what's in the right place. Next thing they did, was to comfort me, and give me medical treatment. I mean it was only a few scratches. My forearm was bleeding. Of course. I was bleeding all over the parking lot. But they didn't care, they took care of me when I need them. They opened their bathroom, and they gave me sufficient medical care to get home. I've never been in Dudley's bar before. But I give them a AAA reading on there staff, and need to be helpful. It seemed like a bunch of off duty. Paramedics took care me. I very much appreciate their time and their care. read more

I wanted to come back and update my review because I believe businesses deserve recognition when they listen and improve. My mom and I have visited Dudley's a couple of times since I left my original review, and I can honestly say we've noticed a big difference. The wait staff has been much more attentive, welcoming, and engaged. The atmosphere feels much more like the Dudley's we fell in love with. One of the things I mentioned before was wanting everyone to feel equally welcomed, and I'm happy to say our recent visits have reflected that. We truly appreciate the effort because it made our experience so much more enjoyable. AJ, Ashly, and Josh are my favorites. AJ is very charismatic always makes everyone feel welcome. Ashly is the same way, always smiling and in a good mood every time you walk in. It's rare to find people who are consistently that kind and genuine Josh is great too dry humor always himself, and if you know Josh you know exactly what I mean Even when they aren't there, the other bartenders are still awesome. Mike is great too and always takes care of people. The whole staff just feels comfortable around each other and it makes the place feel really welcoming instead of awkward or forced. We've been here a few times. It's about 40 minutes from our house, but worth the drive. We love sitting at the bar. Lots to see and lot of drinks and fun shots to try. However, this being our 4th time visiting Dudley's, I was surprised to notice that the "locals" seem to get the attention of the bar staff. I understand that they are probably all fast friend and buddies but, we're paying customers as well. It was difficult to get someone to take our food order, another beer, water refill, etc. All of the action this Sunday was clearly with the regulars. Not the best experience at one of our favorite brunch spots. We don't need much and pretty much want to be left to enjoy the atmosphere, however we do need some service when we're empty. read more

It's a safe house. And Katy (aka KD, aka "Your Honor, I plead guilty to great service") is the handler making sure you don't leave without eating like a kingpin. She's got that perfect mix of charm, sarcasm, and suspiciously good menu instincts that make you wonder if she bugged your car on the way in. I told her I might get the salad. She gave me a look usually reserved for rookie FBI agents, then "suggested" the Old School Wagyu Burger like it was part of my plea deal. Brioche bun. Wagyu beef. American cheese. Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard. And crispy parmesan fries so good they should come with a burner phone and a non-extradition agreement. Goodbye carbs. Hello witness relocation program. And Katy wasn't finished. Oh no. She slid the Rocky Road Brownie across the table like classified evidence. Warm double chocolate, marshmallows, caramel, vanilla pecan ice cream, candied pecans. By the first bite I knew two things: (1) this dessert is a felony in at least 14 states, and (2) I was going to need a new doctor... or at least a sympathetic parole officer. A restaurant smashed between a gas station and a liquor store... feels like you should have low expectations. And, you might. But you will be surprised by how good this place is. We were nervous we wouldn't find a seat at 7pm with Texas and Oakland both playing. But, luckily there will still a few seats left. My only complaint was we sat in the pool table area and there weren't enough TVs in this area like the main eating area. But, we were nervous on how service would be but she was husseling. We never waited for anything snd she was terribly friendly. For apps, we got the queso with brisket and the chicken bullets. The queso was good, but could use a little more spice. But, no complaints. Rich and creamy. The chicken torpedo things were massive, like huge huge. Super Crispy bacon, creamy chicken. My hubby was so happy. (We saw the salads, wings and Flatbread, excited to go back and try them because they looked great). But, that was just the starters, things got way better. We decided to get the smash burger and chicken sandwich and split. The smahsburger was cheesy and juicy. We added some ranch and I was sooooo impressed. Then, the chicken sandwich.... it was a double stack. It was Crispy and so juicy. We couldn't decide which we liked more and said we would gladly go back and do both again. Love discovering unexpected gems like this place! It's definitely a sports bar--loud games, massive Texas-sized TVs, wild animal heads, and Tito's bottles as decor. The atmosphere was buzzing and fun! The staff? Super sweet and friendly. And the service? Incredibly fast--I was honestly impressed. Now, let's talk food... The Southern Fried Chicken Sammy absolutely blew my mind--crispy, flavorful, and just perfect. The Parmesan cheese fries came out hot and crispy--exactly how they should be. I was here for a fantasy football draft and didn't expect much as a first time visitor when I pulled up and observed it to be attached to a gas station. But I must say, this place, the food, and service more than exceeded my expectations. I tried the smoked chicken with polenta and the brisket deviled eggs. Both were phenomenal. The service was just as good as the food if not better. We had a large group and from start to finish our server Camryn OR Cameron(not sure about spelling) was on her A+ game. My husband and I tried Dudley's out for the Cowboys game and we were NOT disappointed. Great drinks, food was delicious, and the bartenders were so nice and were having fun not just with the guest but amongst themselves! We rolled in on a Saturday afternoon around 3 the place was clean, lots of TV's the bar is u-shaped and every chair was full, tables lined the walls and it was seat yourself since there were several available. Came to check out some menu options that looked delicious online. Arrived at 8pm, and was greeted immediately to seat where we could find a spot. Decided to get some brisket deviled eggs as appetizer. They didn't disappoint. Our very friendly and sweet server Heather, brought those out with our drinks. Hubby got the Smashburger w/bacon and brisket added. Came with a side of fantastic parm FF too. I opted for the Margarita Flatbread pizza. This was a different flatbread, more like a tortilla. It was good! Only thing I would say is the balsamic vinegar was really bitter. When you reduce its supposed to get sweeter. It had lil too much bitter taste for me. We got the bread pudding for dessert. This looked like something at a 5 restaurant! It was so good. The decor inside is not like a typical Sports Bar. Yes they're were lots of TVs with sports on them. They do have a U shaped Bar off to the right side of restaurant. They do have a pool table and some games to the left side. And they have booths and high top tables as well. They do have a small gated patio area outside. They did have a variety of music playing as well. Overall I believe this is a great addition to Rockwall. We will be back to eat some different things and see Heather too! read more
