We never felt rushed, or felt like they wanted our table. That was refreshing! The space is lovely - truly! It was bright, open, minimal decor and it all worked beautifully together. Someone out real thought into decorating this space for people to gather and relax, and it showed. I ordered the pats (oatmeal) with fresh fruit and it was perfect! All the fruit blended well together for my oatmeal. I enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait to bring my husband back to see how much Fate has grown and to eat here once more. It's worth it!

As I continued eating, I realized it was not sourdough at all. I asked the manager on duty about it, and he explained that they had recently changed vendors and are now using a wheat sourdough bread instead. At that point, I had already paid my bill. I informed the manager that I was unhappy with the meal. Since everyone at my table had already finished eating and we were preparing to leave, I declined his offer to make me something else. Aside from apologizing, he offered no further resolution. I would have appreciated a gesture, such as a gift card, to make it right, especially given my loyalty as a longtime customer. The manager seemed young and perhaps unsure of how to handle the situation. While I've had many positive experiences at this particular Starwood, this visit was disappointing.

I asked for my Hash Browns to be well done and since I intended to not only douse my steak with gravy, but also those Hash Browns and my Biscuit, I ordered a large side bowl of Sausage Gravy. A patron had a very young puppy (only a few weeks old) inside the bar where the music was extremely loud. When I politely asked staff to enforce their own policy regarding pets being restricted to the patio for the animal's safety, I was met with complete hostility by the manager on duty. ​The "manager" (a bearded man who refused to provide his name) was incredibly rude from the start. When I expressed concern for the puppy, he argued with me, making excuses about why he wouldn't talk to the patron, even suggesting I should go confront her myself. He dismissively claimed that "puppies" aren't "dogs" and therefore the policy didn't apply. ​Most disturbingly, when he finally did go over, he clearly pointed me out to the patron, causing an unnecessary and tense confrontation between customers. When I tried to speak with him afterward, he was dismissive, slurred his speech, and told me, "I've been drinking, you've been drinking"--an insulting assumption considering I was on my first drink. ​It is clear this individual has no interest in customer service, animal welfare, or maintaining a professional environment. Based on the way I was treated for simply asking for a policy to be followed, I won't be returning.
