My wife and I recently swung by after a trip to the Pier and decided to share the Cookie Dough Delicious shake, while our daughter went for the kid's version of The Mermaid shake. The shakes were awesome in presentation. Everything is made to order, so you know you're getting fresh, top-notch treats every time. In what will be a surprise to no one, they are over the top sweet. Unless you have a sweet tooth the size of Texas, plan on sharing something. Parking is also a bit of a pain, so expect to park and walk a ways if it's a busy time, and dress accordingly if you're expecting wet weather. One other cool thing is that you get to keep the cups. They have a self-service area where you can wash out your milkshake jars before to take them home. It's a nice touch, and makes for a fun souvenir. I was so glad to see The Yard come to St. Pete! Walking in, I was instantly greeted by the staff and they explained the concept to my friend who had never been before. I ordered the mint green monster in a cup which was still a huge serving! I don't think I was able to get through half of it. My friend ordered the banana cream pie ice cream and got a scoop of pumpkin cookie dough on top. He said that both had great flavors although he probably shouldn't have combined the two. Service: It was great! The staff was friendly! There were 2 young workers -- there was a sign that said, "Be patient please, the shop was understaffed," but they managed well. I was debating on what to order since their ice cream boats are loaded and the workers offered to answer any questions to provide help with my decision. I ordered a "Brookie Batter" Ice Cream Boat so there were 2 scoops of ice cream (1 scoop chocolate chip cookie dough + 1 scoop chocolate brownie), a slice of brownie on a stick to stick into the side of the ice cream, a whole chocolate chip cookie, a small scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough, A LOT of whipped cream with chocolate chips and a chocolate drizzle. It was definitely yummy! And $12 seems reasonable, considering how much you get and I understand it's for the 'experience' but I found the brownie and cookie a little underwhelming and just 'okay'. The shop itself was clean and organized. Overall, the experience and shop was more than satisfactory, the only reason why I rate it 4/5 is because the brownie and cookie in the ice cream boat were kind of hard and dry. Not sure if that's because it's paired with ice cream, but I just felt like those 2 toppers were store bought packs and just placed into the ice cream boat, so it wasn't anything "special". We were visiting downtown for the Art Festival on Sunday at Jannus Live. We got hot from walking around downtown and stumbled across this ice cream shop. When we walked in there was no one in line and a couple people at tables. We placed our order and waited. We waited probably 20-25 minutes for ice cream cones and one basic chocolate shake. The employees are nice but are SLOW!! They need direction and it's also not efficient to walk every item to tables. They need to have customers pick up their items at the counter until they pick up the speed to run orders to tables. When we left the line was out the door! The ice cream was good however it's really pricey and they charge you 3.5% for using your card. Literally what food establishment does this nowadays? They have a lot of options to choose from for flavors and have a few vegan options as well. We probably won't be back because of thr service and prices. read more

Frosting top, sprinkles, homemade whipped cream and a shot chocolate fin with sugar stick for topping. It was decadent and so good. AND you get to keep the mason glass!!
