Make sure you're not full when you go here lol So I saw this cool milkshake bar while casually walking so I decided to try it. I didn't know what to expect because it was my first time so here's what I think: The ambiance felt kinda retro. It was much super spacious too. I thought it was slightly too spacious because we were the only people there. Customer service was very nice. The staff working there were super kind. Now for the milkshake. We got the brookie batter shake and it was honestly great! I'm a huge brownie fan and my wife likes cookies so it worked out great! It's massive portion size too so it can easily provide enough calories for 2-3 people to share. Overall it's a great place to enjoy a milkshake but I think $21 is expensive for a milkshake despite its big size.

Was definitely a fun milkshake! Great staff for putting it together, overall I think it's mostly for the look of it, when you get down to the milkshake there's not much left. But if you like all the fun extras this is the way to go! A fun drink to share with someone! A definite must go to at least once. Lots of seating indoor and there's a cute little courtyard around the corner.

Great experience for the family! They have a ton of different options and flavor combinations. Love the mason jar idea for a milkshake and sweet treat on top. They also have cookie dough on their menu! The only downside I had was the price was very high for an ice cream and it wasn't as big as I have had at other mason jar places. The whipped cream to ice cream ratio was pretty crazy as well. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean. They have a washing station so you can wash your mason jar and take it home with you. I would definitely go back I just hope they can start putting more ice cream and toppings and less fillers of whipped cream.

Such a fun and unique ice cream shop! The friendliest welcome when we walked through the door! Had me more excited for ice cream! The Yars was fun and made me happy to be there. Great vibes. Soo Yummy and yes we went overboard and got The souvenir cup. Must go spot in St. Pete

If you're in downtown St. Petersburg, FL, and you haven't checked out The Yard Milkshake Bar, you're missing out! My wife and I recently swung by after a trip to the Pier and decided to share the Cookie Dough Delicious shake, while our daughter went for the kid's version of The Mermaid shake. The shakes were awesome in presentation. Everything is made to order, so you know you're getting fresh, top-notch treats every time. In what will be a surprise to no one, they are over the top sweet. Unless you have a sweet tooth the size of Texas, plan on sharing something. Parking is also a bit of a pain, so expect to park and walk a ways if it's a busy time, and dress accordingly if you're expecting wet weather. One other cool thing is that you get to keep the cups. They have a self-service area where you can wash out your milkshake jars before to take them home. It's a nice touch, and makes for a fun souvenir. The staff were friendly, which made the whole experience even better. They really know how to make you feel welcome. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but considering the quality and the experience, it's worth it. If you're looking for a fun, sweet spot for a date night or a family outing, this is the place to be. It's a real treat!

I've been here once and I really only see Myrtle going again if it's under the same or similar conditions-- I'm on a date and/or someone else is paying for it. It's more of a novelty experience than anything. Personally, if you're not going to get the massive and ridiculous almost $20 milkshake, skip it entirely and go down the block and around the corner to Kilwin's for a couple scoops. I can't remember what the milkshake I got was called but it had mint, chocolate and Oreo all throughout. It was tasty but just A LOT of sugar, and that's saying something coming from me! The brownie was nice to look at but less than great to eat. They had signs throughout that they were short staffed, but no one else was ordering when I was there so I was served immediately. All in all, if you're a tourist or not here often, go for it! Otherwise, you could probably go once to get the idea and that's enough.

Stumble upon this ice cream shop during our stay in Downtown and definitely worth the visit if you don't mind the price. They have a variety of different ice cream and milkshake creations which is perfect for sharing. However, don't get the blue monster like we did because you be finding blue in the toilet after using the bathroom for days. The staff was friendly and sweet but we came near closing time and apparently was short staffed which took them 20 minutes to hand our ice cream but they made sure it was known when ordering. Overall, would come back to try other flavors!

Cookies and cream cone and then mix of icecream w brownie in it I forgot name and then salty chocolate chip dough

This place is amazing. I'm not kidding I crave it every single day. The cookie dough is UNREAL. I've tried so many flavors and I can't even pick a favorite

We had a GREAT experience!! Though they weren't busy at all, so maybe the lower ratings were due to lack of service. There is a sign that says they are understaffed, but the gal that helped us was so sweet! (No pun intended ) It was a fun experience. Will we come back? Probably not. Better ice cream elsewhere. But it was fun for the photos

If I had to summarize this review into one word... It would be OVERPRICED. Don't get me wrong... The atmosphere is nice. The vats of ice cream are very appealing. The location is impeccable. BUT, for a store that advertises "Blue Bell Ice Cream" (the same Blue Bell ice cream I can buy in the grocery store a couple blocks down the street) why is a sundae ~$13, a milkshake ~$19, and if I want to buy a take-home container of ice cream in a mason jar it costs $15. THAT'S CRAZY! I was told the sizes are huge and shareable -- they are NOT. I got the cookie dough sundae -- the sundae had two small scoops of ice cream, one mini scoop of cookie dough, and enough whip cream to fill in all the spaces trying to make it appear bigger than it really is -- NOT impressed. Was it good... Yes. Of course it was -- It's standard Blue Bell ice cream. Was it special -- NO, not a bit. Will I go back -- NO.

Definitely a cool spot and lots of unique and fun milkshakes and ice creams. This would be a little kid's dream come true! Or an adult with a serious sweet tooth. Good location too right by Sundial. The milkshakes were very good but very very sweet. Maybe have some free cups and water jar for the customers? The presentation is 10/10. They pile up the toppings and decorate the side of the glass with more toppings. I couldn't give 5 stars because one, this place is way overpriced. You would be spending ~$30 on two milkshakes and $16 on the raw cookie dough jars. I guess the plus side is that you get to keep the jar? Still... very pricey. The second reason is because you have to wait a long time for the milkshakes to be made. It takes about 20 mins for them to bring out two milkshakes. Crazy how long it takes to make these. It wasn't even busy when we went on a Tuesday night so can't imagine how slow they are on a busy day. Overall, cool place to visit but I don't think it's worth going regularly unless you have the money to spend and calories to eat ha.

I was so glad to see The Yard come to St. Pete! Walking in, I was instantly greeted by the staff and they explained the concept to my friend who had never been before. I ordered the mint green monster in a cup which was still a huge serving! I don't think I was able to get through half of it. My friend ordered the banana cream pie ice cream and got a scoop of pumpkin cookie dough on top. He said that both had great flavors although he probably shouldn't have combined the two. The space was clean and there was seating outside. I need to go back to try the holiday special milkshakes! Check out their website for all the flavors, including the secret menu.

Bring your freaking appetite! You get so much dessert! I ordered the strawberry cheese cake shake. It had a literal cheesecake on it. Pretty good!

My 10 year old says the Cookie Monster shake is the best shake ever. The caramel praline ice cream was very good as well.
