Kristen is the best! The whole staff is wonderful and she's been doing great things given the COVID-19 world we're living in.

Great class and engaging workout…read more Very clean studio and accommodating staff. Will come again

I am extremely disappointed by my experience with this yoga studio…read more From the moment I arrived, the person working at the front desk was rude, condescending, and unwelcoming. A yoga studio should be a place where people come to find peace, serenity, and positive energy, but unfortunately that was not the atmosphere I encountered. The negative energy at the front desk completely overshadowed what should have been a relaxing experience. To be fair, my instructor, David, was fantastic. He was professional, knowledgeable, and created a wonderful class environment. The instructors appear to genuinely care about their students and the quality of their teaching. What made the experience even more concerning was that, after mentioning my interaction, several people I spoke with at the studio indicated that they had experienced similar behavior from the front desk staff member. One person even commented that while the instructors are amazing, the individual at the front desk often comes across as rude and brings negative energy into the space. Hearing that made me feel that my experience may not have been an isolated incident. Afterward, I attempted to address my concerns privately before posting a public review. I reached out directly and also sent a message through social media in hopes of speaking with ownership or management. Unfortunately, my concerns were not addressed, and my attempt to have a professional conversation was unsuccessful. When I tried to follow up, I was met with the same dismissive attitude that caused the issue in the first place. As someone who regularly visits and reviews businesses, I understand that everyone can have a bad day. However, when guests are repeatedly met with hostility, dismissiveness, or condescension, it reflects poorly on the business as a whole. Customer service matters, especially in a wellness space where people are specifically seeking a positive and supportive environment. My best friend and I are from the area, and we were genuinely excited to support a local business. Unfortunately, the experience left us feeling unwelcome rather than valued as customers. While David's class was excellent and deserves recognition, the front desk experience left a lasting negative impression that management should take seriously. A yoga studio's atmosphere begins the moment someone walks through the door. I hope ownership takes steps to address these concerns so that future guests can experience the sense of peace and community that a yoga practice is meant to provide.

I used to attend hot/warm/non hot yoga & cardio sculpt classes with co-owner Rebecca Frezza and many other talented instructors pre-Covid.. Like so many, the community was heartbroken when they had to close up back in 2020, BUT: Rebecca, Ilene, Sabratha & Beth have teamed up to do the incredible: pivot and begin again. I cannot imagine the strength of character and creativity it takes to rebuild such a unique community, but these fantastic people are doing it! Alas after enduring incredibly, Zura Bloom reopened right by the Food Town near 6 Points. Their new space is a haven from the outside world: walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor to see that the walls are decorated with John Atura's original paintings, vaulted ceilings and bar studio mirrors and large windows that allow for streaming morning sunlight while maintaining the privacy of those in class. When I step inside the studio.. my mind is put at ease, and I feel welcome. I almost wish I could just hang out at the studio when working remotely just to enJoy the atmosphere some more. There are showers, bathrooms & lovely lavender oil infused towels in the mini fridge to cool down post class. The instructors genuinely care about the people that come to classes, and this is not the kind of place where you will accidentally get hurt doing something that's not right for your body, i.e. classes or "brands" that push you to the point of improper form. Zura welcomes all students of all ages and ability levels, and the instructors are knowledgeable about body mechanics, music and dance, teaching pedagogies and the various philosophies associated with different styles of yoga. I highly recommend any person in search of exercise, health or a bit of peace to attend. Some of my favorite classes are for mindfulness, building strength & excellent instrumental *music curation/choreography* are: - Rebecca's 2:30pm Sat. (Rhthym & Fire*) - Dante's anytime / any day ! (Fusion*) - John's 5pm Friday - Cassie's Hot 26 - Tabitha's* Hot 26 * Many classes (mainly Hot 26) are silent to help students focus, meditate & connect with their breathing, but a few classes use instrumental/percussion & light Sanskrit vocal based playlists that are extremely well paired to movements. I'm talking about musical selections that flow and transition through genres like tribal hand drums from around the world, classical & New Age Indian rāga, electronica from music producers like trip hop L.A. based DJ Bonobo, and the hauntingly beautiful melodies of double bassist and composer Garth Stevenson.* Favorite classes for soothing the body & developing better posture: - Ilene Sunday PM - Beth's early morning - BobbiJo's early morning Favorite classes for vigorous movement: - Rebecca A's Vinyasa - Jeffrey's Power Hour There are still a bunch of instructors that are new to me, and I haven't had the chance to take their classes yet, but I hope to soon!! So happy this studio has reopened in my own backyard. info@zurablooms.com Call: 973-531-6912 71 Washington Street Bloomfield, NJ 07003 https://zurablooms.com

It's less of a spiritual practice than a light cardio workout. We go through the poses quickly, and repeat them almost like a circuit. After class, I feel like I've done some light exercise rather than limber and relaxed. I did enjoy classes with Hailee. She has great energy and goes around to help you out with your poses. Doors lock promptly when class starts, so don't be late! Our class was pretty crowded, over 20 people. We had five mats per row, pushed so that if everyone sat crosslegged, you'd probably bump knees with your neighbor. But it worked out okay. Most of the people who were taking the class seemed like regulars and they were fairly friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed the class, but I didn't really think it was geared that well towards beginners. The instructor called out poses instead of explaining them, and she walked around the room a lot so it was not possible to look at her for reference. Instead, I had to hope that the person in front of me knew what she was doing, since I was just mimicking her. Luckily, the woman in front of me was a pro, but it still made class kind of confusing. The class lasted over an hour. I really enjoyed the semi-meditative talk through at the beginning and end of the class. I felt like I got a good work out, and I felt mentally rejuvenated at the end. The studio has plenty of yoga mats if you don't have your own, as well as blankets, "bricks" (which I'd never used before, but they do help with some of the poses!), and small towels. There isn't really a private changing area, but there is a back space with sliding doors where they keep the aforementioned supplies. There are two sinks, hand soap, and a mirror there. There is also a water cooler in the front. I'd love to come back for this class whenever I have time. I don't know what their regular classes are like, but hopefully once I have a better work schedule I can try those too!

However, for the past year, the zumba program has been very disappointing. There used to be 3 evening classes, but now there's barely 2. There are no instructors for either class. There are substitutes who sometimes don't even show up, even though the schedule indicates different. On many occasions, we show up for class, and while waiting, we realize that there's no instructor. This matter is extremely upsetting, and disrespectful to us, the clients who pay exorbitant fees for this program. I have written several letters to the corporate office, but there has been no response, and things have only gotten worse. This gym needs to make a concerted effort to provide the services that we're paying for. I am seriously considering terminating my contract. I also want to add that this sentiment is also vehemently expressed by other class members.
