This is what makes them awesome. Welcome to Serendipity. It's in McMinnville, Oregon in their historic core. What keeps its character is that it both celebrates the heritage if their building, and integrates that into a unique environment that serves some pretty awesome local ice cream. It can get cramped inside, but if you take a brief moment, look around and enjoy the art, the beauty of the intact early 1900's artifacts and decor, complete with self-playing piano. The staff is friendly, extremely busy, and absolutely patient with the often consistent bustling crowds that come, even at night, in a weekday in summer. There's limited seating outdoors, weather permitting. However, don't forget to ask for that waffle cone. I won't get into specific ice cream flavors, but they are not ones you typically find and national chains. Nothing too exotic, and its all recognizable to the American palette. Bubble gum is one of those examples, but you'll find your favorite for sure. When in McMinnville, and in need of dairy with that sugar fix, Serendipity is it!
