Thank you, Sweetwater, for hosting the YELP elite gathering some weeks back! Everything was ridiculously good, like in a, I-don't-even-like-tea-kind of way! I kept thinking things like, "matcha, not my thing !" And then boom, it was amazing! The young person who did our tasting was very knowledgeable, and made the experience 10x better! So glad I attended, and definitely will be returning!!

Thai Iced Tea with Lychee Jelly

I'm a huge fan of bubble tea and have tried a variety across the U.S. and in Asia. Although this cafe has great customer service and ambiance, the drinks are average and expensive, especially the bubble teas. During my last visit, I tried the Thai Iced Tea. I didn't realize after I asked to add Lychee jelly to the drink that it would be an additional $1.50 for a handful of jelly; that's the most I've ever had to pay anywhere for a topping in a boba. The total came out to be $8 for a small cup. The drink was watered down and quite plain. It didn't taste like Thai tea at all.

My husband was craving a good coffee after our brunch. He ordered a large of his favorite item here, their oat mylk peppermint mocha to go. $7 with the oat mylk. They do have some seating outside but it's quite cold outside. It's tasty, goes down so easily. Now he's got his coffee fix.

I was hoping to find a place to avoid going to Starbucks and I might have just found it. I wish it was a little bit closer! I got the French Vietnamese au lait and it was the right amount of sweetness and so good! Also got the spinach ricotta croissant, it gets heated up and that was also pretty good! They've got a ton of coffee and refreshments options. The app is fantastic as well, I highly recommend ordering that way during what are considered peak hours. I'm looking forward to my second visit.

This place is a cool/modern vibe for anyone that is just looking for coffee, or if you're trying to get some work done. They have a variety of coffee and food items including bagels and other pastries. They also have a microwave and toaster for use if you want anything heated or toasted. As for the coffee, they have a sign in the front that says "smooth cold brew." I can vouch for it. It was SO smooth! Absolutely delicious! From what I've heard, this place is a happening franchise. Needless to say, I would glad to find one of the these in my future travels.

Cozy vibes, friendly staff, amazing coffee! We came on a Friday around 3PM and it was perfect, we realized this is the perfect study spot. Definitely will be returning!

First time going here and I love it. I went in the morning, not busy, no line. The front store employee was so nice and friendly. The iced coffee is good and sweet but not to sweet which I love. I love the vibes inside and it's cute modern.

They make such a light and airy amazing latte. Not bitter. Not burnt. Just perfectly balanced :)

I am telling everyone I know about this place! My first time ever here, and they have gained another lifelong patron. The you g lady had no problem waiting for me to read over the menu, and had no problem answering any questions I had! I can't wait to go back and try something new! I had the ginger raspberry tea(iced), a lemon bar (which is to die for), and a pretzel breakfast sandwich(perfection)! Everyone need to try here at least once and they will never go back to tim hortons/Starbucks/McDonald's again!

Sweetwater is a great addition to a busy area off of M59. I had not heard of Sweetwater prior to it popping up in this location, and now there are two more that are in the area that will be opening. I think that that is really great. They have a really excellent selection of coffees and tea and delicious desserts. When I stopped in I had an excellent coffee and then decided to have a piece of tiramisu that was calling my name. The coffee was really smooth and really delicious. I almost wish that I had had 24 oz more of it. The tiramisu was good, but it was a little on the pricey side. Was over $10 for my tiramisu end coffee, so as long as you're prepared to pay a little bit more then you will probably enjoy what you got. I definitely prefer Sweetwater over your Starbucks, it is low key fancy. When I finished my coffee and dessert I noticed by the lid and trash station a poster that said that they have game nights. When I walked in I noticed a big seating area with some games sitting on it and it happened to be from 6 to 8 later that night. I believe it was a Wednesday. I'm not sure if that rotates, but I think it's really cool that they encourage you to come in and bring your friends and kind of have a night where you're hanging out. Definitely recommend!

When I ordered online it said about 40 minutes. This is how long it says for just about anything I've ever ordered from here. Must be a default. When I pulled up the parking lot was pretty empty and the first thing I thought was that this pie was not going too hot because I am sure they made it right away. And I was actually 5 minutes early from the stated pick up time. There is usually a wait once you get in but my pizza was already done. When the girl handed me the box I immediately put my hand under the box and it was not hot. It was a 5 minutes drive home so it was only getting colder. When I did get home, I opened the box it looked great. I love their muffulettas so making a pizza out of the bread is a great idea. As I grabbed my first slice I noticed the pizza was not even warm. It had to have sat for 10 minutes before I even picked it up which is what I was worried about. Then, as I was trying to get the slice out I noticed that hardly any of the slices were cut all the through. I tried 3 different slices and none were cut through so I couldn't eat anything until I went looking for my pizza cutter. Yes, I had to basically slice up the whole pizza and the cutlines that were there, were not even. Some very large slices, some very small pieces. Not sure how you get slices that different in size. It was actually annoying. The taste was great, crust was cold but still very crispy. The cheese and sauce were so cold that they were already starting to thicken. Not exactly what I would expect with a $28 pie. And yes, not only did I have to cut my own pizza, I also had to microwave my slices after the first slice I ate. There was zero stretch to the cheese. So as I said, I don't think I got the best version of this pizza. It was a $28 pie that I had to cut up myself and warm it up in a microwave and that's after being early to pick it up. Not sure I'd order this again, I was really disappointed.

I can't say that I can really distinguish the peppers and cheese in it, but it did have good flavor and was excellent this way. I'm very interested in trying it with different toppings. I believe it would make a really good chili cheese dog. For me the onion rings para well with everything I get from Portillo's. In addition, I also got a slice of their lemon cake which is apparently a summer only item. I love their chocolate cake, but this was a nice change with a really good lemon flavor. I've had it in shakes before, but I don't think I've ever had the cake on its own. I always get good food from Portillo's but I do have a couple of tips on certain items you might order from the menu. First, if you order a gravy bread and you like it, wet throughout than order, it extra dipped with a side of gravy. This way, if they don't open your bread to dip it, you have plenty of gravy to enjoy. Second, I got some advice on their burgers to hopefully make them less greasy. Apparently they are supposed to flip them several times to remove excess grease but you can ask that they flip them 15 to 20 times which may make a difference. I haven't tried this one yet, but I will give it a shot. I still feel that both of these are training issues that need to be worked on internally.

It took a while but I finally decided to try a Firehouse Salad. I know... what took me so long?…read more Well... yes it's a mainly a sub place, so when you're hungry and want a sub, Firehouse may come to mind. I went with the Firehouse Salad with Turkey and it didn't disappoint. It was a carryout order so when I got home and opened it up, I was surprised at how full and generous the bowl of salad was. There's no skimping on the ingredients. I ate half for lunch and saved the other half for dinner. Since I'm trying to eat a little healthier, I plan on trying the other salad choices as well. The price was comparable to other places serving large salads and since it was two meals for me, the price was worth it. Another thing I like about Firehouse is the fact that it's always clean and well kept inside. Cleanliness does matter to me and it's one of the first things I notice when I enter a food establishment. If you're trying to eat healthier or if a salad sounds good for a change, give Firehouse Salads a try.

Review #527 Tuesday,…read more12/16/2025 This is My Updated Review for this Bagel and Coffee Business. My previous review was back on 3/11/2022 giving it 5 stars. The Last time I was here plus with another check-in was for a Yelp Elite Event on 1/21/2022. Unfortunately, I regret that I need to write a honest revised review with 2 stars now based on My visual observations while visiting today for a coffee and lunch sandwich hour. I met up with Yelp friend Laurie for lunch to enjoy a bagel sandwich and flavored coffee or Latte on a cold Tuesday. First off walking inside at 11:30 AM showed a poor "Ambiance" due to unclean tables, chairs, windows, carpeting and counter areas plus the tile floor. There was Only one cheerful female employee working by herself. I didn't see her name tag since not wearing one to acknowledge her here in my review for trying her best with efficiency ! This Bagel, Coffee and Tea shop was cold on the inside so it was uncomfortable to relax , eat and catch up with our friendship chatting without heat. Coffee Menu was not working on the Board Screen so when I asked about flavors of Latte's she replied the machine was broken. :-( I opted for a plain coffee with a liquid flavoring of caramel which she was Happy to mix and it tasted fine. I ordered the Motor City Bagel Sandwich for my lunch choice. She commented that she would make the sandwich first and the coffee afterwards since she was alone. The sandwich was alright but I should of asked if she could microwave it but I didn't, in case the machine was out of order ? The bagel sandwich needed a melt to blend. Pricing for My 2 item lunch was $11.00 which was Alright? Although I won't be back here so it doesn't matter at this point. I felt bad that this girl had to multitask with other customers walking in and waiting for their orders under such a poor disorganized environment. I showed her My punch business card for coffee purchases to use and she had No Clue about it and couldn't punch it for my purchase. Photo attached... So either I'm 3 years behind when it was issued or it is NOT honored or used anymore! :-( I remember back in January 2022 when walking inside how welcoming, clean and organized to relax with a beverage and bagel or sandwich from the Yelp Event and (My Free Yelp Shot Glass) yet today's experience was unsatisfactory and not very comfortable at all. I saw a fly on the entrance door inside which was upsetting! I'm sorry to lower My rating of 5 stars down to 2 but view the photos before and today. My comments are honest and true plus this review explains it all. I should of asked if the Manager was in the back to discuss today's dirty conditions but then has the Manager seen or care about? Maybe this Elaine's location needs their CEO Manager to visit in surprise plus walk-in with a look around evaluation?! Or the Macomb County Health Department. Sincerely, Karen N. (SpecialK) Macomb, MI.

When we walked in, we looked for the coffee menu because we didn't see anything. The young lady said that the third menu screen above the counter wasn't working. So, I just ordered a regular coffee. The lunch menu was on a small display board on the counter. I chose a turkey sandwich on an egg bagel. While waiting for the sandwich and coffee to be made, I noticed that the cleanliness of this place was lacking. We sat down at a table, and in the corner of a window was a good sized cobweb. So we had to move our table because I didn't care to sit next to a cobweb while I was eating. The vents on the ceiling looked like they needed cleaning. They were pretty dirty. Then I looked at the display cases and they needed a good wipe down. In between the cases on the floor I noticed it was messy with what I think were maybe napkins or debris of some sort. The whole place needed cleaning from top to sides to bottom. When I went over to the condiment area for some cream and sugar and a stirrer, it looked like it needed some TLC. The sandwich was pretty good. I wasn't too happy with the piece of lettuce sticking out of the sandwich because it had black edges on it so I just pulled that out so it would look more appealing before I took my first bite. The young lady that took our order was very friendly and she did a fine job of taking care of us. To me, it wasn't a relaxing place to enjoy coffee. The chairs weren't the most comfortable. There's a coffee place a half mile to the south and that will be the next place I'll try. There's also another ice cream place a mile to the east which I'd choose. This unfortunately was a one and done.
