The class itself was well run, informative and great fun for the dogs. All the dogs had great temperaments which ensured a safe learning experience for all. And it works... see below for what happened this morning! My dog is an adolescent, very large sighthound. This morning we were on a hike with her best friend, a similar aged pointer. We reached a clearing and right in front of us was a deer - both dogs immediately took off chasing it. Thanks to our recall work with COTW (and ongoing reinforcement) when I called her back from the chase she stopped in her tracks AND CAME RIGHT BACK! We were pleased but the service has gone down a lot recently on reliability. During the past month, four walks were requested and never confirmed nor acknowledged. Even after texting inquiry follow ups, the texts were not answered in a prompt manner (up to a day after the desired walk). Not sure if they are having software issues, but the lack of comms made them. It seem reliable which is something we want in a dog walking service.

Carson handled her with ease, or at least made it look easy! Carson focuses on positive, effective techniques and took the time to educate us just as much as he trained our puppy. She absolutely loved him and the progress made in only 2 short weeks was incredible and we are so pleased. She learned 7 different commands and I continue to be amazed at how she responsds to each of them. It has been a huge help in getting her to settle and she has much better impulse control. We recently went out of town to visit family, and brought Villa with. I was a little nervous, wondering how she would do in a different environment, not on her home turf. I am so happy to share that she did fantastic! Our family could not stop complimenting her in how well mannered and behaved she was. If I could give zero stars, I would. I paid for the two‑week board‑and‑train program that…read moreadvertised "100% obedience" and required a significant financial investment. Instead, my dog came home less trained and with worse behaviors than before. The same day he returned home, he began chewing the carpet and showing new, undesirable behaviors. When we tried to use the methods and tools they gave us, including the e‑collar, he was terrified, and he bit us. He is now clearly fearful of the e‑collar, and he has also started to resource guard me, even biting someone who came near me--behaviors he never showed before attending this program. In my view, they appeared to rely on fear and intimidation rather than humane training, leaving me with a frightened dog who bites and no meaningful obedience training to show for it. When I contacted the trainer about these serious concerns, I was only offered "retraining," which does not address the fact that my dog was not successfully trained in the first place and actually came back worse.

Jawaan has worked with multiple dogs in our family, so working with ESD was a no-brainer for us. We decided to send Athena to ESD for the board and train program as soon as we picked her up from the breeder. For us, this was perfect, and now, every time we head out of town, we bring Athena back to Jawaan (she doesn't even look back for me once she sees Jawaan) and his team. Your dog is not just being trained, it is being treated as if they are a part of Jawaan's family and that is huge for us! At just 8 months old, Athena is well-behaved around humans, both big and small, walks well on a leash, and is just an all-around good girl, all thanks to the entire ESD team!

I've had shelties all of my life, if you're not familiar with shelties they're the mini-lassie…read moredogs. They have long, thick fur and need a good grooming every now and again. I haven't been happy with where I had been taking my dog, so my dad recommended The Pet Pamperer as he had such a good experience with his sheltie. I should add that my dog is a total freak. The sound of running water makes her flip out. So do hair dryers. and tin foil. I used to think it was an auditory thing, until her first fourth of July ( and every one since) where she ran outside to watch the fireworks. Only dog i've ever seen sit down and watch fireworks like she's on shrooms at a Pink Floyd concert. Other groomers have had an issue with her before because she's such a spaz, but my dog came back from the Pet Pamperer looking absolutely wonderful. The dingleberry containment zone has been trimmed back, she looks amazing, and she smells like candy. My *dog* smells like *candy*. TPP is cheaper than all of the other groomers I have taken my dog to, and she does a much better job.
