But the little hole in the wall shop does seem to have one of everything- scooter, walker, wheelchair, safety rails, orthotic shoes, etc. If you were injured and immobilized and needed a mobility device immediately, this is your only option, and I think Boston is fairly lucky to have it. The less good: the prices are really high for what you get. You are paying a mark up for convenience and can get higher quality items for much less online or even from the other suppliers in the area who work with insurance. The selection is extremely limited. If you can wait, do that. Rentals involve a random quote from a random guy in the store after talking to another random person and calling in advance does not connect you to the store (I guess online sales may be how they stay in business? No one is actually coming to this store at the end of a long dark hallway with one little printed sign on the front door). There's nothing written down and I found out later when they called me about extending the rental that these prices are extremely negotiable. Nothing is priced in the store either, so I grossly overpaid for some items... but I needed them right away, so what can you do. Returns aren't accepted. The vibes are not great, but if you're desperate, it's good to have an option for immediate relief. You really can't buy/rent a scooter or wheelchair in person anywhere else, you have to work with a medical supplier referred by your Dr, which takes a few days and is limited to M-F.

Once for a trip to Washington D.C. and once for a day trip to six flags. We had to have it repaired after the DC trip because pieces were falling off as we pushed my son in the chair and a piece of the seat had fallen off as well and we had to pay for repair because the warranty was 1 day over the 30 days. After the one day use in six flags there were some minor things and we noticed the wheel was not working correctly. We brought it back again and the owner was not buisness like and more or less called me a liar and said he would not send the chair out like that.

They also have a nice dog named Brady at the shop. (dog people are always a plus in my book) BTW, Braun conversions are not cheap. A lot of work goes into the vans. The real money isn't in the vehicle, it is in the conversion. Every vehicle drops in value while conversion costs remain, providing the van is still in reasonably good shape. Prices on conversion vans range greatly as a result. Shop around and you will see prices all over the place, but then they begin to make sense. Also, other places charge a COVID surcharge of $5-10k and they do not. This is why I am a customer. And, if you are reading this review and shopping for mobility, I have an idea what you are going through and I really wish you the best.
