I purchased LG Dryer from Kams in Hanover. Since I had my house rewired from Gems they upgraded my circuit breaker and installed Two GFI breakers which I do not need I used dryer and the next day I had to reset circuit breakeR. Kam's repairman Justin came out showed me the two GFI one up on top and one beside the dryer breaker, I have an extra GFI which I should have removed or I unplug dryer after every use. Be warned -- very disappointing experience after spending over $5,000. Last month, I purchased more than $5,000 worth of appliances from KAM, including a stove, dishwasher, and stackable washer and dryer. The biggest issue was the dryer installation. We paid $30 for a new dryer vent hose, but the installers did not replace the venting all the way to the exterior vent. From the very first load, the dryer displayed a D80 error, indicating severely restricted airflow. After several back-and-forth emails with our salesperson, I was told that KAM didn't handle that work and was referred to a dryer vent cleaning company. I ultimately bought a $30 vent-cleaning kit myself and spent about an hour cleaning the vent. That resolved the problem. The salesperson also failed to include the required stacking kit in the original quote. Fortunately, the stacking kit from our old machines happened to be compatible; otherwise, we presumably would have had another installation issue. The one bright spot was the dishwasher installer. He noticed that our previous dishwasher's drain hose had been installed incorrectly and explained that this likely contributed to the old motor burning out. He drilled a new hole in the cabinet and properly routed the drain hose. I appreciated his attention to detail. But after spending more than $5,000, I expected KAM to take ownership of the complete installation and make sure the appliances were functioning properly before considering the job finished. Instead, I had a brand-new dryer throwing an airflow error from its first use and was essentially told to hire someone else to address it. Good work by the dishwasher installer, but the overall sales, installation, and follow-up experience was not acceptable. I would not purchase appliances from KAM again. read more

This review is for the service department. I bought all my appliances at Kamm in Hanover, Ma. My oven glass shattered 9 months ago. I've been trying to have it repaired since. They've scheduled me 6 time for a service call. They've canceled on me 6 times, the day of. The last call the service tech called me ON THE WAY TO MY HOUSE, and said he had a "family emergency" I understand. Even though it's the 6th time. Different excuses each time. But this one was a personal excuse. I have another service call today, 8/12/26, I call to confirm bc of course I haven't heard from them, they don't have me scheduled!!! Here's the kick in the stones, they have NEVER HAD THE PART! They told me today, after 6 days of work I've taken off, they don't have the part and don't know if they'll ever get the part in. Horrible experience. Purchased appliances specifically because of their warranty and service on Nantucket. Last summer, we experienced a problem with our refrigerator - it is 10 months and the issue has still not been resolved. It took weeks to get a service appointment, the technician failed to fix the problem, months again to get a follow up appointment, then the technicians don't show up and appointments were missed, emails are not answered, requests for management follow up are ignored. They give you a two hour window the day before delivery and on that day you are able to track the delivery truck live. It provides live updates of your delivery time. Kam's Appliance Store in Hanover Massachusetts has poor integrity when dealing with customers. A service technician troubleshot my Thermadore appliance and recommended I fix it. The cost was very high, but I eventually called the Hanover store and learned they still had all the troubleshooting data in the system. They ordered the parts and sent 2 men to my home. The technicians opened the back of the appliance and in a few minutes told me the parts ordered would not fix it. I called the Hanover Store and was told I would be charged another $125 because so much time elapsed between visits. It wasn't troubleshot properly in the first place! Why were parts ordered if not to fix the problem? I love Thermadore appliances, but recommend purchasing them from a different store.. read more

Stay away go to yale stay away from whirlpool laundry products. Bought a new whirpool washing machine and nothing but problems. The tech that came out even said to me this product is garbage all internal parts are plastic. Already replaced transmission along with other parts still not working. Back and forth with service team that is a train wreck. I was told two months back there working with whirlpool to get exchange. But in the mean time I have no washing machine. It's funny how the paying customer gets screwed why not they have my money and sell a bad product seems right go to Yale in Hanover way more professional and been doing it whole lot longer than this place. Over a month's time, five phone calls, and an email to have our credit card refunded for a fridge that didn't match the spec sheet and therefore would not fit in our door. On top of that we get the $29 late fee for things not being resolved in a timely manner. Do not bother with KAM. Unprofessional and not knowledgeable about what they are selling. Purchased a LG fridge in November to be delivered the beginning of December. We financed it through the store recommend credit option. Used a spec sheet given to us by the salesman to confirm measurements and fit. Took the day off from work to take delivery. Obviously took everything out the old fridge, removed water line, and doors to have it all ready to go. Delivery arrived on time. They started to dismantle old fridge further and I was then told the new fridge would not fit. The driver stated the fridge is one inch larger than the spec sheet stated. According to him the spec sheet does not account for the bump out in the back. He called his manager and I called the sales rep. Both assured me this was not our mistake and there would be no charges. A day off from work to receive delivery, the practice of dismantling the fridge and putting it back together and the fun of taking everything out of fridge only to put it back. Sales rep gave us options for a different fridge that would fit. We decided to modify the cabinets to have more options and stated this to KAM. Received a bill from credit company two weeks later for whole amount. Called and spoke with Tracy who informed us she would credit the card. This had not been done yet according to her because they were waiting to see what fridge we would pick. We took her at her word things were resolved. Two weeks later received a new bill from the credit company which still had the delivery charge and a new $29 late fee. Called and spoke with Tracy again. Was told the delivery fee would not be refunded because they tried a delivery. The Fridge being delivered did not match the information on the spec sheet and would not have been ordered had this been known by us. Sent an email with supplied spec sheet and were told we would get a call back. After five days with no response called again and were told we would get our next delivery free of charge or she could refund the original delivery fee. Asked again for the original fee to be refunded. This happened, but we are left with the $29 late fee. Never an apology or sorry. Do not bother. We paid $29 for over a month of aggravation and nothing else. read more

One star for complete and utter lack of regard for customers. With the exception of a gentlemen named Ian, this was by far the worst experience in a retail store I've ever had. My wife and I wanted to support a local business and decided to purchase a new range from KAM in Hanover. The saleswoman was nice enough, we told her what we were looking for she placed the order on 01/16/22 and said the range would be available in "late January". February 8th rolls around and not a word from KAM or the saleswoman about our order. Upon calling I was told the range would be delivered on 02/15,,,,,,,you guessed it, once again no range, no call, so we called back, sorry, we'll deliver it on Friday, 02/18,,,,,,,once again, no call, no range,,,,,,we spoke with the aforementioned Ian who was helpful and was told that the range would not be coming on 02/18. He offered a different model, that was a little more $ that was in stock. Given the amount of time we'd already spent trying to get this range I wanted to make this work. I felt, given the amount of aggravation and complete lack of common courtesy and communication on the part of KAM, that splitting the difference in cost would be reasonable. NOT according to Kurt V. one of the managers at KAM. His reasoning was that he did not want to "hurt" the saleswoman's "numbers". Let me get this straight, a customer who fully paid upfront, was inconvenienced and given misinformation multiple times was not worth providing a small concession to because Kurt did not want to hurt the saleswoman's numbers? Seriously? This is your customer service policy? Kudos to you and the rest of the KAM team, definitely a recipe for long-term success. I understand you'll just brush one customer under the rug, but this will eventually catch up to you, what a joke. read more

I had the displeasure of being at my brother's brand new home when KAM drove up to deliver a new Samsung refrigerator only to be "warned" by the driver that "installation" meant only that they would bring, plug and push in the refrigerator only. In other words, the "installation" listed and paid for on the invoice did not actually mean "installing" the water line for ice, water, etc. Great job at bait and switch Susan. And, upon further probing and discussion about disappointment, we learned that the drivers are ill equipped to install, with no tools, parts, or experience in installation. The delivery people damaged my counter when moving the refrigerator. After months of pursuing satisfaction from management, I was told that they did not believe me because the delivery man said that he did not do it! Are you kidding me! I never even had the opportunity to discuss compensation. Just a hard NO. The customer is always right? I had just purchased a $3000. refrigerator and they think I am dishonest over a 1990's countertop? Now 4 years later, The fridge dies. We purchased all of our appliances from KAM in Hyannis. I would never recommend them!!! We spent over $25,000 and during delivery day they totally dropped the ball! They unpackaged our appliances in their truck and threw away one of our handles to our bar refrigerator. We have been dealing with customer service multiple times for them to reorder the handle. It's been over 4 months and still NO handle! Our Thermador refrigerator also came missing parts! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere to avoid terrible customer service and lack of professionalism. As a small business owner I know things don't always go as planned. I also know you should judge a company by how they respond when things go wrong. I recently had a lot go wrong. The Samsung Drier I purchased less than three years ago has been broken for over a month. The KAM service man has been to my house three times and each time the Samsung diagnostics program suggested a different answer that did not work. Twice suggesting a new part that needed to be ordered. I called KAM this morning ready to do battle but instead heard an apology and an invitation to come into the store and select a new drier with full credit of my original purchase price. We have bought, 3 dishwashers, a washer and dryer set, 2 stoves and 2 microwave ovens from KAM in the pas 18 years. Sales is awesome! Delivery is awesome! Repair department sucks! They are expensive, takes two trips out to fix anything!! Service people do not carry any replacement parts even when you tell them the error code you are getting from broken appliance. Take two to three weeks for first diagnostic visit and then a week to order the part. Finally they call you to schedule the actual repair but can't come out for another two or three weeks!!!! Highly recommend their sales and delivery. But run to someone else to repair it. And the customer service person on the phone is rude as all heck!!! read more

We purchased a GE dishwasher in March. It stopped working on the second day. We called KAM and the first service appointment was in two weeks.The service technician finally came told us we needed a new mother board and everything was back ordered One month later they showed up and identified another problem which of course needed parts that are back ordered. Its June and we still don"t have a working dishwasher. There was no offer to the substitute another GE dishwasher only option was to continue to wait for parts. I had purchased a LG refrigerator, washer and dryer at the end of November. We were moving into a new condo in January. When we closed and requested delivery, the dryer was on back order until January 18th. I was given the option of waiting until all three were available or two deliveries. I chose two deliveries. The best part of the process was Jenny, the chat-bot. She continually updated us on what stop the truck was making and when they would be at our condo. Although, they ran later than scheduled, the continual updates kept us from being frustrated. I would recommend KAM. read more

Try buying a dishwasher during the pandemic. I did. Got laughed out of the big box stores. Called KAM and got one of the few Bosch left on the planet. However, a few days later I got a call. Dishwasher not coming. I was devastated. I went to KAM , and was greeted by man I didn't get his name. He showed me ones I could get. I wasn't happy. I saw a Bosch on the floor and asked if the manager would sell it. He got my original salesperson who had just come in and she spoke to the manager. Her name was Vanessa. I absolutely love the sales staff, and they are so polite on the phone, but I've never dealt with worse delivery services team in my entire life. They had to come back twice because they brought a faulty part, they walked into my home without saying anything, walked right out and didn't even set up my dryer. I'm 9 months pregnant with a one year old, needing to do laundry, and they left without saying a word. And they marked / scratched my newly painted wall while they were at it. I now have to call KAM to reschedule a washer / dryer set up for the third time. I am not having a great experience. Dishwasher broke after 4 1/2 months. 4 weeks later they come with the wrong part. Hey it happens right. I'm supposed to get a call but it doesn't happen. I call and am told the correct part is on back order and I need to call back in another week. If you do decide to buy with them please just avoid the LG products and save yourself some aggravation. We had such a wonderful experience with Ian at the Hanover location for the dishwasher, we went straight back to that location to work with him again for the fridge. The sales people are very good and knowledgable. They definitely helped making a decision on which oven to go with easy. The prices tend to be a bit higher than the box stores but they do price match. There extended service plan rates are very reasonable and they use their own service technicians to do the repairs. That right there is a huge plus and was one of my deciding factors on purchasing it there. I have purchased two houses of applianceswith Kam, as well as my daughter. Both she and I find their customer service to be sorely lacking. I spent a small fortune on a Sub Zero two drawer refrigerator and it conked our after one year. That's not their fault, but after two service calls, it's not resolved, and they palm me off to the distributor. After the second call, the repairman was going to call me back and he did not. I had to call service(again) and was told what the problem was but 'they didn't have the manpower to address it'. Also, after the first visit, the 'technician' said turn it off, then turn it on to see if it worked. No, that wouldn't work when the compressor is broken!!!! read more
