She was very professional, answered any questions I had and was so quick and efficient. I thought I had sparse brows but really it's just that a good amount of my eyebrow hairs are super light to the tinting made a world of difference. Now I don't need to fill them in at all, just throw a little gel in to keep them looking fluffy and good to go. I met Shireen a few years ago, and I have to say she is ahhhhmazing! She really know's what she is taking about, she listens to you and gives you advice on how to take better care of your skin. I can't say enough praises about Shireen and her skills as an aesthetician. I've been seeing her on a regular basis for over two years now. My skin is okay: typical early 30s skin, combination skin type, occasional acne, pores, some fine lines. As I get older, I've noticed it's not as "glowy" and maybe because I work too much and I'm tired all the time. But Shireen has "magic hands." She decides on my treatments after listening to my concerns and assessing my skin. My very first time I tried a peel, my skin was just too sensitive to it. I wanted to try it again and Shireen thought of a way to help my skin acclimate to the peel. The peel worked great. I love my facials, massages, and brow waxing. My skin is fabulous - more even toned, less breakouts, blemishes seem to go away faster, and it certainly glows. People definitely notice my skin. And Shireen is friendly, easy going, accommodating. I'm moving soon and want to take her with me. I hope that's okay with everyone else ;o) I really don't know what I'm going to do without Shireen. Alex it the BEST. I've never trusted someone so completely with my brows. They're naturally a little uneven both in shape and coloring; blonde isn't always easier. While the problem is subtle, Alex recognized it immediately and knew exactly what to do... a relief because I've felt silly trying to explain it to other waxers who have given me nothing but a blank stare in the past. I refuse to go to anyone else, though I've never been one to demand a single professional when so many offer the "same" service. She's very reasonably priced especially for the results. If I could add an extra star for personality I would - she's incredibly sweet and a natural conversationalist, never pushing or fishing to make small talk like so many estheticians I've suffered through. Shireen has a long-time skincare practice in Palo Alto and recently opened a location in Campbell. I have been seeing Shireen for the past year for facials and silk peels. I am prone to breakouts and hyper-pigmentation. After becoming a mom, I didn't take care of my skin very well. Always short on time, I didn't take the time. I wowed to change this, especially after turning over 40. Shireen has helped make my skin look beautiful! Seeing Shireen has been completely worth it! Shireen is truly an amazing professional. She pays attention to your skin, really takes her time in her treatment (she spends over an hour), and she uses great products. I'm not a girly girl. I don't get my nails done or my hair did. I don't do the spa thing or really have time to pamper myself. I'm actually the anti girly-girl and didn't quite understand the amount of money required to do so. Until....! I spend A LOT of time under the sun and in the plane since I travel frequently for work so I feel like my skin has been thirsting of some TLC. That and I've finally given into the fact that I need to start making time to take better care of my skin (and myself) as I get older. My skin is on the sensitive side so the thought of getting a facial frightened and intimidated me but Shireen was highly recommended by a friend of mine. Shireen is super sweet and she genuinely cares about her clients and the quality of her services. I don't love the extractions part, but everything else is extremely relaxing. She goes through a number of steps, creams, exfoliant, etc and I literally feel my skin starting to glow and smile throughout the treatment. I also love that the cleansing facial includes hands and arms massages...bliss! My skin has noticeably improved, especially the weeks directly after I get my facial. Not only does it look clearer and brighter, it feels better! I see Shireen every 3 months or so, though I wish it could be more frequent. I also had my eyebrows waxed for the first time by Shireen. I've since added a brow wax to my regular appointment and she does a fantastic job of shaping them as well. Tucked away in the back of Peninsula Beauty on University Ave, the parking and traffic situation can get pretty crummy, but she's well worth it! She took her time and did a very thorough job. When I got home I took a good look in the mirror. My skin looked brighter, super clean and best of all I was still relaxed hours later. Shireen is amazing!!! I go to her for facials and waxes. Going to Shireen's place is an experience from the beginning to end. First of all her space is amazing...the space is beautiful, clean, smells good, and feels like a spa. Shireen is so calming and makes me feel really comfortable. She's also a professional- she has vast knowledge on skin issues and really gets that everyone's skin is so individual. I'm allergic to SO many skincare products and I was so nervous about getting a facial because in the past I have always gotten a rash afterwards. Shireen sent me home with samples of what she would use on my face so I could try it before my facial. I wasn't allergic to any of it and I didn't have any negative reactions after the facial...only positive ones! My skin felt amazing for weeks! Shireen's waxes are also great because she's very gentle and makes the experience so relaxing that I now look forward to my waxing appointments. I love Therapy Skincare so much that I had Shireen come to my house for a spa party! She did 7 facials (silk peels)- for me, my mom, my sisters, and two of my friends. She made the space so pretty and relaxing and had calming music on. The guests felt so special and we all said it was "the best day ever." Shireen made everyone feel so comfortable and she fit right in with us. She gave cute samples to everyone and she customized each facial to meet everyone's needs. Everyone LOVED the facials and said that it felt amazing and...no one broke out!
