Carla is a amazing esthetician! She has been doing my chemical peels for a couple of months now I'm on my 4th or 5th chemical peel. She has made it so easy and has gotten rid most of my acne, improved the texture if my skin, and recommended me awesome products to renew my skin at the deepest layer. she is the only esthetician I know of so far who used a electric fan during chemical peels the fan helps with the uncomfortable sensations during a chemical peel but she made it feel pleasant and easy and quick. She also talks with me and we have good conversations while she does my peels. I also have extremely sensitive skin and can't use hardly any products on my skin except some la Roche posay products and dove. I had a really bad experience with a previous injector at a completely different place, and it honestly took me over 6 years to build up the courage to try fixing my uneven lips. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at SkinSpirit Willow Glen--not only because of my Botox outcome, but even more because of the way my concerns have been handled afterward. After my Botox treatment, I developed significant heaviness and drooping around my forehead and eye area that noticeably changed my appearance. I was actually seen at my two-week follow-up, and at that appointment I was told, "Honey, you can call me anytime if you need anything. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you." Unfortunately, when I actually needed help, that has not been my experience at all. My symptoms continued to bother me, so I reached out again. I called repeatedly, was told I would receive callbacks, and had to keep following up myself. The manager finally called me and said they would "love to see me," but because they are busy, they cannot see me for another TWO WEEKS. By that appointment, I will be approximately SIX WEEKS out from my Botox treatment. I explained to the manager how significantly this has affected my life and confidence. I canceled a trip because I felt so uncomfortable with my appearance. I have avoided my normal gym routine and significantly reduced social activities. When I do go somewhere, I simply don't feel like myself or comfortable in my own skin. I told her all of this, and the answer was still essentially: we are busy, wait two weeks. What makes this particularly frustrating is that Botox changes over time. I am asking to have what I am experiencing NOW evaluated and documented NOW--not when I am six weeks out and the effects may already be changing or improving. I understand that an unwanted cosmetic outcome can happen. What matters just as much is how a practice takes care of its patient afterward. I was specifically reassured at my follow-up that I could reach out anytime if I needed anything. Apparently, "call me anytime if you need anything" does not mean you will actually be able to receive timely follow-up care when you need it. For the reputation and prices of SkinSpirit, I expected far more compassion, accountability and aftercare. The outcome itself has been upsetting, but having to repeatedly advocate for myself just to be seen has made the entire experience so much worse. I have lost confidence in the Willow Glen location and am escalating my concerns beyond the clinic. My response to the Manager: Your response is incredibly disappointing and completely misses the point of my review. You should be grateful that throughout this entire experience, I have deliberately chosen not to publicly identify the provider who treated me, despite the significant complications I am still experiencing around my eyes and forehead. And let me be very clear about the "care" I received afterward. After repeatedly reaching out and asking for help, I was left with three drops of Upneeq and a phone call from the manager telling me, essentially, that there was nothing they could do and that Sandra would not be available to see me for another two weeks. That was after I had already explained how much I was struggling and how urgently I wanted what was happening to me evaluated and documented. Yes, complications can happen. I understand that. What is unacceptable is the lack of urgency, consideration, communication, and meaningful follow-up once a complication occurs. That is what my review has been about from the beginning. Instead of addressing that, your public response lists your provider's 15+ years of experience and says you "stand behind" her assessment. Her résumé does not change what happened to me, and it certainly does not answer why a patient repeatedly asking for help could not receive timely follow-up care. I have actually been extremely restrained in what I have shared publicly, including choosing not to name the provider. Please do not mistake that restraint for a lack of seriousness about what has happened. I would never recommend a clinic that handles a concerned patient this way. People deserve to know that aftercare matters just as much as the injection itself, and I intend to continue sharing my experience truthfully and through the appropriate channels so that others can make an informed decision about where they receive treatment. read more

I have been seeing Tristen for four years now this is my third round of filler with her and I'm super impressed with the results. I came just wanting to touch up on my lips. Previously I had dermal fillers in my cheeks and lips and jaw , and she looked at me and decided that the best thing for my overall aesthetic of my face would be a full contouring, and I'm super obsessed with the results. I wanted to share feedback about my recent visit to SkinSpirit in San Jose. First, I want to highlight that my experience during the appointment itself was great. My injector, Jacqui, was amazing. I've seen her before at the previous clinic she worked at, and I was so excited for my appointment only because I know her work. I think she is one of the best injectors I've been to, and I was planning to return to her for lip filler in the future. I also met the manager briefly, who was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience after the appointment, during a phone call about my payment, was very uncomfortable. I followed the instructions given to me and completed my payment. Despite this, I received multiple calls, that I always answered, and I remained respectful throughout the entire interaction. I repeatedly explained that the payment had already been made and that the card had been charged, but the person on the phone did not verify this and continued insisting that I stay on the phone to complete the payment. I told her let me call my Boyfriend so I can get his card since he offered to pay for my Botox she answered " ohh but your already home I thought you said you were gonna pay" why does she cares who pays? However, the payment was already been made at this point she just failed to check. During this time, the tone used felt passive-aggressive, accusatory, and dismissive. Despite my repeated explanations that payment had already been completed, this was not verified, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to avoid paying. This was particularly frustrating given that I was actively communicating with her and I trying to resolve the situation. The interaction ultimately became overwhelming and uncomfortable. Because of how the situation was being handled, I felt I had to contact ALLE directly to confirm that my payment had gone through, which they verified. Despite this, she said I still have to complete the payment on their end . . . sooooo she was trying to get me to pay again? It took 5 call for her finally checked on her end. Once it was confirmed that my payment had already gone through, there was no acknowledgment of how the situation was handled. She just giggled and said if we have questions will call you back. This was such a horrible experience, I felt so disrespected and uncomfortable, and unfortunately it was my first and last time at this clinic, I will not be returning. If Jacqui ever moves to a different clinic or opens her own practice I will 100% rerun to her, like said I really like her work. I've followed her on instagram since my first time meeting her and that I found out about this clinic. Given that the service totaled nearly $2,000 and that I completed my payment through the financing provider as instructed by the clinic manager, I did not expect to be treated so poorly. read more

I first visited SkinSpirit in September 2024, which is when I met Nurse Sara. I originally came in wanting to add more filler to my lips (I had previously had two syringes done at other places). But instead of just agreeing, Sara was incredibly honest with me. She explained that adding more filler would cause significant migration, and she could already see some had occurred. We decided to completely dissolve my lips and start fresh, and I really appreciated Sara's transparency and integrity. Most places would've just done what I asked, but she genuinely had my best interest in mind. Since then, Sara has been slowly and expertly rebuilding my lips into what I always envisioned. But was talked out of a procedure I wanted , she told me oh no You're not there yet " ok so then what she did is said " you need this and that and this which will do this and that and of course I believed her 67 pokes with fillers bruised forever two weeks no problem but I didn't not get the lift I wanted or what I would have gotten from the procedure I wanted in the beginning, I'm an esthetician I know about the many procedures, I guess I thought she knew more than me ? Wrong should have trusted myself and 3,300 later when I called and complained , they full effect after bruising ?
