Once you're in, it's great. Scheduling/rescheduling was smooth. My son was being seen for feeding therapy and the therapists were great and made wonderful recommendations that have helped a lot. I was able to sit in with my son and observed that the other therapists were patient and polite with other kids as well. The initial portortin is the hardest part. Not the best experience. They did a virtual appointment...to evaluate my 2 year old's speech.... Which doesn't really make any sense in my opinion or others opinions. It also didn't run the full time and then when I tried to book follow-ups, they told me I'd have to call each week to see when they had cancellations...I feel like you shouldn't be taking new clients if you can't schedule them in advance. Therapy tree is an ABSOLUTE Joke! My 7yo autistic grandson needed some Speech Therapy. His doctors office sent out referrals and Therapy Tree responded. TT wanted to do video confreencing. So, we tried it. First therapy session did not go to good or long as my grandson being Autistic did not want to sit in front of the computer while the therapist did his little thing. Anyway it was a short session. The therapist said he'd email want we went over to try and get my grandson ready for the next session. Nothing was sent to go over and NO THERAPIST showed up for the next session. I was there in front of the computer, my grandson was there in front of the computer...BOTH of us WAITING for about 10 minutes. I finally got tired and tried to call. Their phone rand and rang, finally went to voice mail. I left a message asking for someone to call. NO ONE CALLED. Couple days later I got a call. I set up office visits, 2 days a week. One was one on one with a therapist, the other was a group of kids (2/3) I think. My grandson did not like it. He was making it difficult for the other 2 kids and the theripist. I was OK...lets just do the one on one. I told the office personel. Nothing got changed. Plus every one on one at the office, the therapist was always late. Appointment was for 4PM, theapist would show up at about 4:10. We went to a couple of those and the therapist said that she was leaving and that this was going to be her last day in the office. So, we got another therapist...saw her one time! Next appointment day came, I get a call at 2:40PM saying the theapist was sick! Next week came, same time I get a call at 2:45PM saying therapist was not in today. NOW get this...the appointment times were for 5PM both times! TT sent me texts and emails saying that I need to give more that a 24 hr. cancellation notice will result in a $65 fee and removal from upcoming appointments. My grandson is making some progress here. However, the issue is when a kid gets sick. My grandson woke up crying and a fever of 102.3. Kept him home from school and called to cancel his speech session. They told my daughter she'd have to pay for the session unless she had a dr's note. A child doesn't need to go to the dr everytime they have a fever. When she said she didn't think she should bring a child who has a fever into a waiting room full of children and expose a therapist to him, they told her too bad. Just know they at therapy tree they would rather you bring your sick kids and expose other people to Their germs than cancel. No where else can a child go that isn't fever free other than Therapy Tree. Keep in mind when you're sitting around the waiting room. read more

Thank God we decided to find another place for our kids. 1st. They don't have enough therapist both of my kids are supposed to be going 3 days a week for speech yet they only go 1 due to staffing. Also OT again not enough days. And no days for PT. 2. They have a high turn over rate. My oldest has been there longer then all the staff. 3rd Don't call out sick the day of your appointment you will have to supply a drs note since it's not 24hrs notice or you can be dropped. God forbid your child gets sick the same day and you don't need to see the dr or want to spend the money for something minor. 4 They will cancel your appointment last minute die to no therapist but they wont call you, you will find out when you show up. Its okay for them to cancel but of you cancel to many times they can drop you what a joke!! As I said this place has just gone down hill if you have a choice of somewhere else go to the other place. Very sketchy place. Something fraudulent is going on with this billing. Being charged for appointments we haven't been to and being scheduled for things we never scheduled. We went for one eval and never went back. They prefer group settings for speech that only last 20 minutes which is so obviously because they get paid more by insurance/AHCCCS for groups than individual sessions and can see more people (bill more) that way. On top of that it smelled which is never a pleasant thing to experience when walking in. read more

After almost 3 years of being a patient they remove my son off the schedule without telling me. I drove to my appointment and found out at my appointment time that we were dropped. No one called me to tell me. If you plan on taking your child here pray that your child never gets sick because if they do you will be dropped. Eventhough they as a business can call multiple times to say they dont have a therapist/they need to move the schedule around and r/s for whatever reason, Its okay when life happens to them but when it happens to you they dont care. Therapy tree was the first establishment I took my son to to seek speech delay help. From start to finish this place and the people were a nightmare. First off, the therapist had a student which is just another distraction, two, they both had giant laptops opened up which of course my son was drawn to and they didn't take them out or make an effort to hide them for 5minutes to really evaluate his speech as he zones in to technology. Third, they had literally three toys which were not age specific for my almost three year old son to interact with, he had absolutely no interest in playing with the given toys. The pathologist( Katie)seemed to have no experience in dealing with children, I feel she hardly tried to make an effort to get him to talk for our 200/ hr evaluation. We decided to cancel his appointments and seek other help instead. read more

Significant turnaround with therapist. Heartbroken every time my son improved, changes with therapist and regress each time. Therapists are nice and friendly however they do not stay long. Hmm. Now I am dealing with insurance issues! I suspect fraudulent billing. Although my son was register for a 30 minute private therapy session my insurance was billed for three billing codes: a group therapy, private therapy and instructional homework therapy. Our therapy time was cut back 5minutes to discuss progress, but we did not receive packets or tools to use at home. This fee $75 for 5 mins and it shortened our 30minute therapy. I now am dealing with appeals. Therapy tree is recoding their claims for hearing care $110 and $95 plus physical medicine charge of 65. All these charges $270 for a 25 minute therapy session and 5 minute discussion on his progress. Beware!! The small gains you might achieve with speech will doubtfully be worth the headache. This place is awful!!!!! Upon first interaction with them to get the evaluation everything went smoothly. My daughter participated and did everything she was supposed to. They recommended 3-4 days a week. We showed up to that very first appt and it was a nightmare!!! I am a stay at home mom. My daughter is not used to not being with me. With that being said, when the awful therapist Hannah came to get my child, she took 2 seconds to introduce herself to me and literally just grabbed my child, picked her up and walked off with her to the back. To say my daughter was TERRIFIED is an understatement!! Hannah never introduced herself to my daughter, didn't say hello, nothing! Just picked her up and walked off. Not to mention my daughter can walk!! Why she felt the need to pick her up and take her back is beyond me!! My daughter started screaming and reaching for me yelling mama, mama over and over again. I was in absolute shock I didn't know what to do. Their protocol is to get the kids by themselves to learn. "Parents are a distraction" this is flipping ridiculous! I went up to the front desk and told them that I felt very uncomfortable how Hannah just handled that situation. In what world do you just go up to a child and walk off with them?!?!! If you are in the field of working with children you should know better to get yourself down to their level and say hello, introduce yourself, ask them if they want to play with you, something, anything other than just snatching them up and walking off! When my time was up to finally go get my child I couldn't find her. Turns out they brought her into a room by herself with this awful woman and closed the door. Again, in what world is it okay to have a child alone in a room with a stranger?!? I was told it was to not disrupt the other children. Well then come and get me bc you just made her feel completely unsafe!!!!! And guess what!! She didn't learn a gosh darn thing bc she was so scared of Hannah! When I myself confronted Hannah about how her first interaction with my daughter was inappropriate she told me they like to just "rip the bandaid off". They don't want child to cling onto mom and mom cling onto child. NO! Your job is to make children feel safe, secure and loved!! That is the complete opposite of what happened!! I was uncomfortable how it happened let alone I couldn't imagine how it made my daughter feel. This place is seriously awful. And the 20min they are with your child is a complete joke. Do your child a favor and take them to a better educated place that can understand children. Update* My daughters awful experience here was in January. It's now July and my once happy go lucky child is terrified of everyone and every place! She has melt downs before we walk into anywhere! My son comes here for Speech Therapy. The therapist that we have, are very friendly and very helpful. They make it easy for my son to learn over he needs to. And they also give us homework to work on until our next session... I would highly recommend Therapy Tree for your child. First appointment left me iffy about doing services here .... my daughter was sitting playing with toys and as I was interacting with my daughter the women looks at another therapist and says " uh ya there's our problem" and looks right at me .... so I'm the issue my daughter needed therapy apparently... next appointment ( our first session) the male therapist was rude and felt very judgemental . Next ... the way they act when your kids cries .... ridiculous, you aren't doing therapy in your own space so as my kids doing things she absolutely hates she sees other kids playing with toys ! Last but not least .... the straw that broke the camels back... this therapist manhandled my daughters food I brought for therapy with his bear hands!!!! Their billing office has no idea what they are doing. My child went there for 7.5 months. Their front desk girl made it a point to collect my copays every session (2-3x per week). After going three days a week for the first few weeks I gave them a credit card to auto bill our copays whenever we came in. Fast forward 10months later (after discontinuing services with them-which is a whole other nightmare story) I get a bill for every copay they said we owed since September 2018-over $600! And they also have the nerve to state in the bill that this debt is going to collections-after only the first notice. I pulled my credit card statements and sure enough they already charged my card for all those copays over the prior 7mos he was receiving services. The lady at the corporate billing office told my husband she had NO RECORD OF PAYMENTS!! Then she had the nerve to ask my husband to send her all of our credit card statements since September 2018- so she could verify we paid them. The place is unprofessional . IF YOU CHOOSE TO SEEK THEIR SERVICES GET REGULAR COPIES OF WHAT you ARE BEING CHARGED FOR as we also have charges for "parent management sessions" on the statement they sent us. WHAT IS THAT??! I quickly realized that the "services" that my child was receiving were disjointed and even though his speech was improving they kept working on the same things over and over again with no progression. They gave my child's weekly appointment away, put a small group in that time slot, and told me we had to go back on the waiting list-after consistently attending during that time and with the same therapist for over 7months. When I spoke to the manager she was matter of fact and rudely told me my son can attend the small group-Once I didn't agree they told me they had to cancel my child's time slot and place us on the WAITING LIST! I've been taking my son to Therapy Tree for almost a year for Speech Therapy after getting glowing recommendations from two other people. He has made significant improvement in that time, and we have had a wonderful experience from the very first phone call. Scheduling has always been easy, and they have wonderful therapists on staff. One of them even noticed my son's tongue tie when no one else had, and getting it fixed has really helped! Our current Speech Therapist, Miss Sydney, is very sweet and knowledgeable. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of their only good Speech Therapist Miss Hannah. We had been coming here for about 2 years when without notice we were told they were giving up our spot. The way this was handled was completely unprofessional by their manager, Erin. She clearly has no experience in management. We had gone in for our appointment and were told at the start that unfortunately they could no longer continue services due to lack of attendance. They never gave us any notice, no hey man you will loose your spot. We missed occasionally, which is true but never to the extent they claimed. This only became a problem when we refused to see anyone except Miss Hannah, meaning they couldn't make additional money from us. Miss Hannah had been out of town for 2 weeks right before this happened and we wouldn't schedule with anyone else. When she canceled our service she went on to tell us that she was an STP and there were people waiting to get into see her. I had no idea what an STP was so I asked. She said she was a Speech Language Pathologist and the others were just assistants. This was what really got me! Prior to seeing Miss Hannah we were only seeing Assistants which explained why he was making next to no progress for 1 1/2 years! When we started seeing Miss Hannah this was the only time he started meeting his goals. At this point Miss Hannah said we should talk to Erin. She gave us excuses like we didn't put you with her until you requested to be placed with an STP. Not true, we only got places with her after we complained he was making no progress and there was no mention on anyone's part that she was an SLP considering I had no idea what one was. Then, she insulted my son right in front of him saying he wasn't meeting his goals and it was because we weren't consistent which contradicts there claim of we weren't there often enough and that it was him that wasn't progressing and he just wasn't meeting his goals. This was handled very unprofessional being that they pulled me AND my son back to tell us this, didn't pull me aside separately to tell me and gave me no notice of loosing his spot. As a matter of fact, prior to our cancellation of service Miss Hannah suggested that once we meet our goal we could come back for spelling help. If someone would have told me, the next time you Miss that could be your last or talked to me about it more we wouldn't be in this spot. Beware that if you go there you will more than likely be placed with an Assistant which we all know is not as good as someone who specializes in your child's needs. Waited over a year to bill us for services!! While I was perfectly happy with the speech therapists that my son saw, their billing department is an absolute joke. We started services in March '18 and ended services Nov '18 because we couldn't afford services anymore. Then in JUNE 2019 we suddenly receive a bill for almost $2000 that was apparently outside of what our insurance covered. The first time I called billing they blamed how long insurance takes to respond to claims but when I called my insurance they said all claims were responded to within weeks at most and Therapy Tree would have known we owed additional fees by the beginning of May 2018. No one in the office ever informed me that we had a balance due during our DOZENS of appointments and had we been billed in a timely manner we never would have continued with appointments for so long as we could barely afford what we were paying weekly. I have never in my life heard of a provider waiting so long to bill for services, I don't understand how it's even legal to do that, and now I'm left with a huge surprise bill. If you have to go to Therapy Tree I would ask every week to speak to billing and find out how much you owe so you know how much services are actually costing you and you aren't slapped with a huge bill over a year later. I've never felt so deceived and taken advantage of by a provider. read more

Not happy with our experience. There are 2 great therapists there but your not guaranteed to get them. The receptionist are not a pleasure to speak with. On two different occasions I've caught the therapists just on their phone when I went back to get my son. Most unorganized, incompetent, unprofessional people I've dealt with in recent memory. Can't even figure out how to schedule one appointment, and they wanted our son to go 2 to 3 times per week! After a successful first appointment, they scheduled us for the wrong location even though we had already been seen at the Glendale location. Then we made three separate appointments and when I went in for the first one I wasn't in the computer for anything even though we had been given specific details for two speech therapy appointments and a feeding evaluation. They had no record of anything being scheduled anywhere and even had no idea that we had already been in there once for the initial evaluation. I only give 2 stars because we love Mr. Matt. He does the best with my child and he learns a lot from him! That being said, I've requested my son see Mr. Matt consistently and they are CONSTANTLY changing his therapist without notifying the parent to the point where we don't know who our son will be seeing that day. He recently had an appointment with Mr. Matt change without our knowledge to a session with Jina Naude and we had the WORST experience with her. She doesn't say hello to you when you join the session for the debriefing, also had my child on a tablet for who knows how long and finished up her conversation with a fellow therapist before FINALLY acknowledging us. Honestly she shouldn't bring toys to work if she doesn't want kids to play with them. She got upset my son threw a toy that I guess she brought in, which is ridiculous ! They are children and he is only 3. She also yelled at my son, and said he would NEVER play with her toy again. I said to have a good day, and she ignored me. SO RUDE !! I normally like therapy tree but if they ever schedule my son with Jina Naude again, I will be VERY UPSET. She is not friendly and is honestly mean to kids. My daughter had a speech evaluation with Jennifer. She was amazing, so sweet and kind to my kids. I was so excited to start my daughters therapy here. I even wanted to switch my oldest son from his current therapy and bring him to therapy tree. We had our first appointment and it went awful. She was late about 8 minutes which for a 30 minute appointment that is a lot of time. Then she just calls my daughters name and starts walking back to hallway, does not introduce herself to either of us or explain where we are walking or anything. Then we walk into this large room with the rest of the therapists with their kiddos. So right off the bat the room was loud and a lot of was going on. There were therapists sitting next to me talking poorly of the parents on the zoom call they were doing. We sit in this unorganized dirty corner with the "therapist" and she still says nothing to me. She shows my daughter some toys and plays the farm song. literally 10 minutes pass and I ask how long are the sessions and she goes well we are wrapping things up now and then goes on to say her goals which were all BS goals. Not one was actually relevant to my daughters needs. She still never introduced herself to me and didn't even walk us out or anything. It was a hot mess. I felt the whole time spent there was very rushed. From the front office to the actual appointment to checking out was all rushed. I cant say all the "therapists" were this horrible since I did not meet with them but the one I saw gave me such a bad experience I cancelled her future services. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star. I took my son in for an evaluation and brought all his IEP records and also his recent evaluation with Southwest Behavioral Health who recommended speech for him. We waited over an hour to be seen and when I asked them if they would like to reschedule us, I was told the woman would be right with us. She came out about 10 minutes later and took us back into her office never introducing herself. I gave her the file I had brought and she went through all the papers and pulled out the evaluation from SWBH and told me, "we will use that". She wanted to have him have speech 5 days a week and I told her that was too much, I was looking for twice a week as he was having OT at PCH twice a week. She wanted us to do OT with them and I told her no, our Dr. wanted him seen by a therapist at PCH. She then took us out front and told the girl to schedule his appointments. She never spoke to my son; she had no idea what he was capable of saying. I called the office this week to see if they had heard from his insurance company and I was told it was denied. I called his insurance company and asked about the denial. They told me that it was still open and that the doctor was scheduled to do a peer to peer this morning to get them to accept his treatment. I called the referral girl at our pediatricians office and she told me she had scheduled the peer to peer and I told her I would take the report from SWBH to his office so he would have something to refer to. Nancy called me this morning after the peer to peer and told me that the insurance company had approved an evaluation and she called Therapy Tree and told them this and that they needed to submit a treatment plan with the evaluation from SWBH and their evaluation. I called Therapy Tree today and asked them if they were going to do the evaluation and I was told no, our son already had one performed by SWBH. I told Veronica that the insurance company wanted them to do another one and again she told me no, they would submit the one that SWBH did and they would be denied. I asked her when would we hear and she told me about 2 to three weeks. I called the pediatrician's office and left a message for the referral girl and told them what Veronica told me and to please ask the doctor for another place for our son to go to for speech. I then called Therapy Tree back and told Veronica to cancel the resubmission as I was going to take my son elsewhere. I have never seen such an incompetent organization and would definitely not recommend them to anyone. I have informed the place that our son has OT not to use Therapy Tree and will also put this on face book for everyone to see. We will get speech therapy for my son but not at this place for sure. read more

I am amazed at how wonderful, competent, knowledgeable and dedicated these SLP's and SLPA's are towards the children they are providing therapy to. Ms. Tammy is a fantastic Speech Language Pathologist who loves what she does and it is evident in the way she conducts her therapy's and teaches others to do so. She works closely with her SLPA's (Miss B and Miss Danielle) to ensure they are successful and on the right track with every child they service.
